Just arrived today; no complaints so far. I've included pictures of the packaging and plugs. When it booted up for the first time it said "Hello" in English and I was prompted to select my language for setup (it defaulted to English European and there is a drop down menu for changing the language). During setup it asked my clock and time zone preferences so no issues there. It comes with a cord a little over 2 ft long and a European Samsung charging block. A US adapter was included although I will likely just use a block from previous samsung devices. The charger end of the cord is a regular USB size anyway so it fit my current charger blocks. The end that plugs into the tablet is smaller & tapered (there is a "right side up" to it so it will only fit one way). Four sets of instructions were conveniently included (none of them are English) but as mentioned the setup was truly straightforward.
This tablet has been awesome for a long time now. It's been the family tablet for internet browsing, shopping, Amazon, as well as our toddler son's first experience with one using ABC Mouse, educational vids, etc... The issue that's arose is no fault of the tablet. The charge port got yanked by the cord from being yanked by our son. Not charging anymore, and now won't start. I'd like to buy the new charge port as is available for the Tab 4, and others, but cannot find one for this Tab A. Any suggestions? Thanks!
The tablets have been great for my 4 and 5 year old boys they like them very much it gives an explanation! It implies that it is not charging but then when I power the device on it shows that it is charging in is usually at 80% charge or better in 2 miles use the
I bought this even after reading the not so bad and the bad reviews, I have all Samsung products and I love them. People had trouble setting the time and little stuff that is very easy to set up for yourself if you know how or take the time to learn the tablet. I will say that the display is not quite as crisp as 10.1 note that I have, but is still a great little machine. I have owned it over 4 months with 0 problems.
Noticed a few of the previous reviews state the Galaxy A arrived with only Chinese or India language. When you start the setup program, it will start in a foreign language, however, if you look closely just under the foreign word in the middle of the screen has a very small downward arrow opening up a drop down list of languages throughout the world - just scroll down and select United States English. The Galaxy represents an excellent value and with 32 GB of internal memory, one will not find a more capable 10" tablet at the offered price. I own several Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets of different sizes and have used in several applications from flying commercial/professional large drones to business applications and never had a single problem. Highly recommended!
I purchased this tablet even after reading the negative reviews. I bought it anyway and I am glad I did huge memory space and it works great. I have nothing bad to say it is in another language but it's an easy fix to just hit english version. Done deal nothing wrong overall a great tablet for a great price.
