Pretty and has everything you need to get started at a great price.
I bought this to use with Rocksmith the xbox one game. My son loved it. His favorite color is green. Buy extra strings they seem to break a lot. We are certainly not experts in this field but I think after looking around at the prices and such it is a good entry guitar for your kids or anyone who is new and doesn't want to invest a fortune in something that might end up sitting in the corner.

High Quality, Beautiful, Great sound! Surpassed my Expectations! A++++
High quality, Great sound and even better looking in person than online. This was a gift for our daughter and this was a crazy good deal for a start up guitar kit. We didn't want to spend a lot of money in case she decided the guitar wasn't her thing. This seems like a very high quality set for such little money invested. I would recommend this set to a child and adult! It sounds good and looks amazing! Thank you Amazon for offering this great deal! A++++

Great Beginner Guitar!
This was my first electric guitar and I was worried about buying it because of all the guitar snobs giving it low ratings but it ended up being perfect. Obviously you aren’t going to get flawless intense tones out of a sub $100 guitar that comes with an amp, but for a starter guitar it was great! The body was beautiful and the fretboard was comfortable. The amp is obviously a cheap amp but a beginner wouldn’t even notice. Just turn up the base on the amp and it will sound fine. If you are looking for a slightly nicer beginner Stratocaster style guitar I would recommend a squire, but if you’re just looking to see if electric guitar is for you than this guitar will do perfectly.

Great starter kits for not a lot of money
FIRST - This is not a a paid review. I received no compensation nor discount for this product. I bought it, I tried it, I liked it, I rated it here. In August of 2016 I had a brain fart, "lets buy the boys guitars for Christmas" . We have 7 Grand-kids. the 4 boys came first, then 2 sweet little girls, and one still in the oven. I decided to buy one of these kits just to see if they were any good. WOW was I impressed. I have several guitars and I have play professionally ( and on worship tams for free) so I know what I want a guitar to sound like and feel like and play like. These knock off Stratacasters were just the ticket. After getting the first test guitar set up and tuned and after playing it for about an hour ( I like to play when the guitar is in tune) I ordered 2 more of these kits (2 blue, 1 green per the boys preference) and one junior kit for the youngest boy > RED Junior Kids Mini 3/4 Electric Guitar Amp Starter Pack, Guitar, Tremolo, Amplifier, Gig Bag, Strap, Cable, & DirectlyCheap(TM) Translucent Blue Medium Guitar Pick < TO be honest , right out of the box they played terrible. But I could easily see why -- they needed to be "Set Up". This is true for even new expensive guitars - they all need to be set up. This is the process of making sure the neck is aligned and not bowed, then adjusting all of the bridge pieces to get the correct string heights and make sure they are adjusted to the proper mathematical musical length. Depending on how badly these are not set up properly this can take an hour or two, but if you are even a novice player, if you can watch you tube, there are instructions galore on how to set up an electric guitar. Once I get these set up I was very impressed at the play-abiity and intonation of these great inexpensive instruments. For about $100 you (or a child) can be on your way to becoming a player. This is something that you can get a young child that if the interest wanes, just put in away in the closet and in a few years if an interest gets sparked again, its there and waiting for you to have another go at it. For reference, the age ranges of our boys are from 6 to 12. This guitar was just the right size for the 3 oldest and the shorter neck I review as well was the perfect size for the youngest one.( I neglected to consider how short his fingers are at this age, but he will grow into it, and have fun messing around with it until then.) These can carry them from total goof off novice toy to being able to really play in a band in thier youth and not have to buy an expensive Fender or Gibson till they are older and seem to be into playing as a real hobby ( or the next Eric Clapton). The Amp that comes with these is a nice little amp that will be plenty loud enough for starting out. You get everything in the kit to be jammin' right out of the box. I suggest getting the clip on tuner>Snark SN-5 Tuner for Guitar, Bass and Violin< and a pack of extra picks. My preference are standard size, medium to thin and if you can find the ones that aren't smooth they will be less likely to slip out of your fingers. As a player and former performer I recommend these units as a great way to get anyone started in playing music with very little expense. If you are not sure about doing the set up your self you can probably find someone in your local area to do this for you at reasonable cost. If you are in my area send me a message and we will see what we can do. In short these are well worth the money to invest in someones musical future!!!!! N8ACU

Good quality for price.
After reading some of the lower rated reviews, I wasn’t sure what to expect as far as quality. As it turns out, I am very satisfied with what I received. The amplifier works great with no hum. The guitar strings needed to be tuned, but I expected that, so I downloaded the free Boss Tuner Android app to tune them using my samsung phone. The build of the guitar itself is very impressive considering the price of the package. I went over every part of the guitar and found no signs of poor workmanship. The finish looks really good, the frets have no sharp spots, and the neck was straight right out of the box. Everything seemed to be put together very well. No loose parts. Initially I thought the tuner keys might be slipping due to the guitar going out of tune fairly quickly, but after a few days of playing it, that stopped being a problem. Probably, the strings had to settle in. There are some minor negatives for this package. The bag is very thin vinyl and does not offer much protection for carrying the guitar around. The guitar strap ends are thin and do not appear to be real leather. Other than that, it’s hard to find anything wrong with this package. I am very satisfied with this purchase, especially for the price. I would definitely recommend this for a beginner.

My personal experience totally worth the money
Was looking to get back into playing, bought this kit, absolutely wonderful for the money. Use this kit until you're positive you'll keep playing, then you'll upgrade. But for a new player or somebody looking to get back into playing, this item was awesome, guitar, amp, everything is worked for me great.

Awesome for beginners and its price.
When I bought this guitar I was a total novice at guitars. But after now months of playing and complete knowledge of the basics. I can write a review detailing the guitar. The first great thing about it is the affordability for what you get. It comes with a guitar bag that has a pocket on it and has handles on it for transportation, a strap, an extra set of strings, a rather big pick (I'd recommend getting a smaller pick to play it with) and the amp. The amp is designed to practice at home and does its job wonderfully with an overdrive button for distortion, volume, treble and bass knobs and a headphone jack. The guitar looks amazing and plays decently, definitely good for total beginners like I was. It has fret indicators on the side of it and the front for easy navigation. It also has a volume knob on the guitar and 2 tone knobs for the pickups. It strums with ease however the low e string tends to vibrate and rattle when you strum intensely. But that can be easily overlooked for the low price. The weight of it is not excessively heavy and it hold its tune so you don't have to tune it that much. It is compatible with Rocksmith but you'll need to buy the rocksmith cord that goes with the game to play it. Overall I would say if you are wanting to learn the guitar this is the guitar for you. You don't have pay too much for it, the amp is extremely effective and packs quite a punch for its small size. Definitely worth the price.

THIS IS IT
If you are a beginner, Start Here First! Try out The Guitar College Dot Com found Online, and if Guitar Playing is not for you, simply quit, and you have lost practically Nothing. If you are already a Seasoned Player, but want a Cheap Guitar to keep practice on the Fretboard; especially with the cutaway for far up the neck practice with a Tremolo Bar that works just fine, and does not knock the guitar out of tune; then do not pass this up. She looks fine, sounds fine, and is not very heavy at all. Take it places, and if it gets scratched, damaged it certainly is better than your $800.00 Dollar Guitar that you would take Nowhere but safe places; thus, this proves to be the fine purpose for dragging along to stay in practice. I have had No Problem with the Tuning Machinery, it has Three Pick Ups that are adjustable, comes with Allen Wrenches to adjust the Neck! What a bargain for everything you need to stay in practice in which you would Never take an Expensive Guitar. The Action for the distance of the Strings to the Fretboard is perfect, meaning low with no buzz. Yes, the Amplifier does have a Phone Jack for Head Phones so that the Neighbors do not hear your up and come Famous Hits!

Great for a beginner!
This is an excellent beginner (and even intermediate) guitar, but I would recommend setting it up with the help of someone musically inclined. First, ditch the stock strings in favor of something like Ernie Ball Regular Slinky Nickel Wound Sets, .010 - .046 (3 Pack), which are inexpensive and immediately improve both the tone and playability of the instrument. Second, the intonation definitely needs adjustment (or did on ours, anyway) which requires careful adjustments of the bridge saddle per-string. Lastly, the amp is only mediocre - it's good for small room practice but I wouldn't recommend it for performance or recording. It will occasionally pop (or have a very short cut-out) when doing significant changes in input volume (e.g., hitting a sudden power cord). You'll also want pedal effects to do anything beyond the very simplistic overdrive it offers. These are mild shortcomings though, and don't detract from the cost / value ratio of the instrument (hence the 5 stars). Definitely got what we were expecting, and with just a little TLC are getting excellent results.

Good playing guitar, seller is a dream to work with.
First, I want to tell you that this is not a paid review, I bought this guitar as a practice guitar for myself, and I am totally pleased with the playability and performance . I received the guitar and would give it a Five star review except the pick plate was cracked and the finish was marred, however, this could have been done by the delivery company. the box was slightly damaged. that being said, I took the time to do the setup on the guitar, and if you aren't familiar with it, you can have it done at a music shop. the tuners are precise, the weight of the guitar is nice, the neck was completely straight and didn't need adjusting, I adjusted the bridge, and tuned the guitar, and after retuning twice, it stayed in tune, that is normal, the strings need to stretch, the tremolo bar works perfectly, all the pickups are great, no buzz or feed back, the saddles were all that had to be adjusted on the bridge, and the pick-ups were too low, I raised them. I played it with the factory supplied strings, the action is perfect, exactly where it should be. I have been playing for about 40 yrs and over the years have played many Stratocasters, and this plays as good as any $1000.00 Fender I have ever played, this is an amazing guitar for the price. all the components are good, pick-ups are good, control knobs and 5 position switch all perform outstanding, If you are looking for a good guitar to learn on, want a guitar to play in church, or want to give someone the gift of music, you can't go wrong with this guitar. I changed the review from 4 stars to 5. I contacted the seller about the damage to the guitar, they were prompt, courteous, and responded far beyond what I expected. I love the playability of the guitar I received. I contacted the seller and they paid to have my guitar repaired due to Fed Ex damaging the guitar in transit. They bought a new pickguard for it and paid to have the chip repaired. I couldn't be more pleased. I did a complete setup on this guitar, checked the neck, it is perfectly made. I played one of Stevie Ray Vaughn's Stratocasters in Houston Texas in 2009, this guitar is comparable to the sound and playability. The factory supplied strings are decent strings, they hold tune very well. I am changing the strings because of personal preference only, a new guitar player would be more than satisfied with the strings. I cleaned and oiled the fretboard (standard operating procedure), checked all the frets with a fret rocker, all the frets were perfect, the nut is made of bone and is solid, the tuning machines are precise, the guitar is solid, the neck is curly tiger stripe maple, the fretboard is rosewood, and the body is hardwood. This is easily worth as much as one of the high end Squires sold by Fender. The amp is good, no hum, static, buzz, and for a 10w practice amp, this little amp puts out tremendous sound, the drive switch adds just the right amount of power and the guitar will produce any kind of music you want to play. The 5 position pickup switch controls all the pickups and the only thing I had to do was adjust the pickup height, also a normal practice with electric guitars. Overall, this is an amazing guitar, easily worth much more than what it is listed for, and the company is easy to deal with, professional, courteous, and helpful. If I need another guitar, I will buy this again.
