So, my husband routinely gets what he refers to as "junk rash." It is actually chafing and severe irritation caused by repeated skin on skin contact coupled with perspiration. It has gotten to the point of his having large bumps on his inner thighs that are so painful that it hurts to walk. All other products have failed and he tried it all....talc-based baby powder, corn-starch based baby powder, Body Glide (what a joke!...review for another time), Gold Bond spray powder, A&D ointment, and even products geared toward women who have the same issue, all to no avail. Enter Boudreaux's Butt Paste! It is similar to Desitin, but much thicker. I tested it on my hand just to see the texture and the stuff is super hard to get off. It stays in place and does what it's supposed to do....form a protective layer between your skin and moisture. My husband is no longer having issues and says this product is life-changing. Great for babies and adults alike. If you're having chafing issues, I'd definitely give this a try.

In the past I've only used desitin so this is my first time using this brand. Purchased this based on the reviews. After learning the hard way with my first, with my 2nd I now apply diaper rash cream with every diaper change to prevent rash and chafing. This cream I like because its a large amount which is good considering how much you need for a baby and usually they only sell those tubes. The lid flips open which is nice. It does have a slightly medicinal smell. The consistency is thicker than any other cream I've used. No rash and its been about a week of use. I've posted a picture to show the difference in the consistency between the Boudreaux and Desitin brand.

If you are suffering from an anal fissure, this has been the only relief I have been able to get. I have had the issue for 1 year and it has eliminated the itch, it seems to be slowly healing the cut so I probably will not need surgery due to this cream.

My baby had the worst rash for over three weeks after he was born. We had tried everything, Burt’s bees ointment, Vaseline, desiring extra strength, lotrimin, hydrocortisone, antibac, coconut oil, triple paste, we stopped used baby wipes. And eventually to cloth diapers (which helped, but this version isn’t CD friendly). All the EBF news born poop was making our poor baby’s bottom so raw. We switched to just using water and cloth wipes to clean between changes and drying completely and using this maximum strength. And after three changes we saw improvement. And the rash just got progressively smaller and smaller as the days went by. And I truly believe this was the difference. Also liked that it didn’t have a heavy smell like desitin extra strength.

My hubby who's in the military stationed overseas bought this for our daughter. I didn't know they had this big of quantity of Butt Paste. He bought it a few months ago and we still have tons left. It's nicer than the ones you buy in the store as those always seem to have a big air bubble mid way and makes it seem like I'm getting ripped off as the tubes fullness cuts in half and then it's basically gone. This makes it so easy to apply on my daughters bum as you just pop the lid open, scoop a little on your finger, and shut the top with another finger.

This may not be what most of you want to read, but if it helps just a few of you, it's worth it. I'm a 60-something grandfather, haven't had to deal much with diaper rash for quite some time. But last spring I developed the most stubborn case of, uh, well, jock itch that I've ever had. I tried one antifungal powder, cream, spray, whatever after another; I even got some prescription medications. Everything seemed to clear up the rash just fine until the day after I stopped using it; then the rash would back in full bloom. A couple of months ago, I read an Amazon review by someone who had cured their jock itch with this stuff. Figuring I had nothing to lose, I tried it, and, after a month, voila! rash was gone, and six weeks later, it hasn't returned. I recommend using the maximum strength, 40% zinc oxide, version. And if it works for you like it did for me, let someone know!

I order this cream with Amazon's subscribe and save every month. It's the only cream that will stop any diaper rash with in a couple of applications. My daughter had creams from the dermatologist that didn't work on her super sensitive skin and diaper rash that was bleeding (please don't think I'm a bad parent, we change diapers as soon as she's messed them; she's just super sensitive); this cream cleared it up within a couple applications, so I always keep it on hand now.

This helps cut down the redness BUT it sticks like crazy. So, I put this under my little one's, um, wee-wee, because there was a little bit of redness in that neighborhood. A few days later there was still this white stuff under his wee-wee and we tried wiping it off, and it does not come off easy. It took some warm water and soap. As far as clearing up redness, it does a great job and a smidge goes a long way.

We tried the green, didn’t work. His butt started bleeding. We became desperate we tried Burt’s bees and desitin. Only this worked and it worked really quick after he suffered for over two weeks while we found what worked

2oz is the perfect size for my diaper bag. We buy the bigger 4 oz tubes locally but needed travel size. We have only gone through two large tubes so far and my baby is almost 7 months. She would get baddddd diaper rash as a newborn. We used Destin (every color you can imagine) and Aquaphor with every diaper change but it didn't work. I was at CVS desperately reading ingredients on different products. This Butt Paste (red kind) had the most active ingredient (40% zinc oxide)! It also had the least number of total ingredients. It was by luck that I found it. It was the last one on the very lowest shelf. This is all we use ever since. If baby is a little red, we apply to her butt and bits and she isnt red the next diaper change. Most of it wipes into the diaper as she wears it, but a tiny bit gets caught in the folds. It easily wipes the next diaper change and I never reapply. Don't get it on clothes or sheets. Just put a little bit on your finger, apply, and wipe your finger clean on the inside of the diaper. No need for butt spatulas. From left to right, I have the 2 oz cardboard box, the 2 oz bottle, and the 4 oz bottle. That's a measuring tape in inches to help you compare sizes. Let me know if I left anything out.
