Buying a refurbished Kindle is Great!

I purchased two Fire HD 10 Tablets with Alexa Hands-Free, 10.1" 1080p Full HD Display, 32 GB, one Black and one Red. The red one has performed excellently. I had to exchange the Black one because it had some loading issues but the replacement, also refurbished, has operated very well. Don't hesitate to buy refurbished from Amazon!

Actually a good tablet.

I've had a number of tablets over time and, while I might like the 4x3 aspect ratio of some other brand tablets.. their cost doesn't warrant buying one again.. This Fire HD 10 though, has proven to be a snappy performer and it's FHD aspect is great for watching Videos & Movies. I hope that some better accessories (reasonably priced) show up for it since the sound is nice (stereo). It's great at eBooks the way I like them.. reading while the aBook plays along. Just have to shop the sales to get good pricing on eBook/aBook combos for that use. Overall, I'm glad that I got this and it's pretty much taken over any tablet use from any of my other devices for just about everything.

Like new!

Couldn't tell it was refurbished. In excellent, like new condition. Battery lasts a long time. Screen is spotless. No issues at all. Zippy tablet given the faster processor and more RAM, when compared to the HD 8. No hang-ups. Easily side-loaded Google Play to expand its functionality. Also installed 32 GB SD card without issues. Not good for outside use. Screen not bright enough. Pairs quickly and easily with bluetooth keyboard. Wifi works well both 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz. Overall, happy with the purchase.

Well Color Me (mostly) Impressed! (In me & the tablet!)

Bought this as a surprise gift for my Kickass, Truly Amazing- Offspring a week ago and am SUPER HAPPY with it! It looks Brand Spankin' New and runs Pretty Great so far. I DO HAVE ONE BIG FIXABLE ISSUE THOUGH: {Backstory} I bought this mainly for the kid's entertainment purposes where YOUTUBE would be the main player. (He loves to watch other people make fun of other people while he, himself is making fun of said people in a WEIRD INCEPTION-type/ younger generation thing I may never fully understand--But can appreciate and dig because I'M Legit "The Cool Mom". But I digress... (in a Golden Girl/ Sophia kinda way)...Now you can easily get the app from the main screen (which yes you first have the add on ads like mentioned in previous reviews-but swipe them away and You're Gold Pony Boy!) BUT you aren't able to adjust the ratio in aforementioned app UNLESS YOU DOWNLOAD THE APP FROM GOOGLE PLAYSTORE! NOW HERE'S WHERE BIG MOMMA HAD TO GET TECH SAVVY REAL QUICK!: Apparently all the Neato specs on this tablet that drew me in, like the HD ratio and whatnot aren't always the "go to" for some site's display settings (or I dunno the tech, just go along with me here) Anyways my young Padawan (and possible organ donor one day) shows me a video that apparently looks weird on his tablet and gets pretty upset about not being able to change it! At this point I can't see the problem or what the double h hockey sticks he's talking about! But he also surprisingly informs me that he has already googled this issue with this specific tablet and has found others on the world wide web who too have had this problem and I cannot deny his claim. And so sets forth this Woman's Journey into internet "geek" sites where I learned there are ways to make technology bend to your will!!! Mwah ha haa!!!!!! Uhh hmm... And so, long story made slightly shorter: I Googled my issue and found instructions on how to set your tablet settings right to get the Playstore and the Youtube app with the capability to adjust the ratio so my beautiful man child can watch other people watch n play video games in HIGH DEF! In Conclusion: I'm currently Pleased with this tablet and optimistic about how it will endure. I did hit a snag but sometimes ya gotta seek out your own answers and find new territory, like the Starship Enterprise! They had rough times occasionally with their technology, and yet they always found a way to persevere and solve/fix stuff the problem..! Much Like You Will Too If You Buy This Tablet! BECAUSE IT IS PRETTY INEXPENSIVE!!!! AND IF I COULD GOOGLE SOME STUFF TO FIX THINGS WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF MULTIPLE BEERS-THAN YOU CAN TOO FELLOW AMAZON FRIENDS! Great Tool Bought at a Decent Price

Certified Refurbished Fire HD 10 Tablet - 5 Stars - Superb I got this as a therapy tool for my stepfather who is in a skilled nursing unit. He keeps in touch with the outside world via Facebook. He was able to "attend" his granddaughters wedding via a live stream. I added an app for the bible version of his choice. I set him up with $25 in coins to buy apps. Playing games "exercises" his synapse and improves his hand/eye coordination and dexterity. It relieves the boredom of being confined to a single building with the same people 24/7. He's really happy with it. After I set him up with a Prime account, he'll have access to a library of books, music and movies. Residents have minimal space and are discouraged from accumulating much in their area. Having a variety of entertainment venues come through a single device helps free his room of books, CDs and Disk Players. He doesn't have to depend on someone coming to his room to get him a book or help set up a player. He keeps his tablet on his side table. I got a heavy case for it, should it slide off his bed. Since the tablet is encased, I etched his name in the case w/o damaging the tablet should I need to return it. I probably have 'bout $150 in the tablet, the case, his bible app and the $25 I started him out with. As far as his mental health, I couldn't have made a better purchase.

Everything you want, nothing you don't

I purchased my Kindle Fire HD 10 refurbished a little over a month ago. I continue to be very happy with it. I am convinced the people who designed the Fire 10 sat down and said "OK, what do people want in a tablet?" Because they gave it a big high resolution screen, decent speakers, fast cpu, plenty of ram and storage, and garbage cameras. Because no one cares about the cameras on their tablet. Especially when they have high quality ones on their phone already in their pocket. The Fire HD 10 delivers on everything you care about owning a tablet for. Also I would like to comment on Amazon's refurbishing process. My tablet looks pristine and except for not coming in the retail box, you'd never know it wasn't brand new. Came with cable and charger as expected. Highly recommended if that wasn't obvious.

Long time APPLE products only user. Old iPad just too slow. New iPads too expensive. Decided to try the Amazon Fire HD 10 and so glad I did. Bought refurbished and it looks and behaves just like new. Great screen resolution, lightening quick speed, charges quickly, downloads easily and quickly. Purchased mainly to download movies for air/train travel but will also use it for web surfing, emailing, etc. Highly recommend this tablet.

This refurbished Fire HD 10 is like new!

Just received my/our 7th gen Kindle called Fire HD 10. I elected a refurb version to save some bucks and it is indeed a delight to behold. We're iPad users but the 4th gen iPad is no longer supported and is acting a little cranky, hence the new Android/Amazon tablet purchase with some really nice specs. To add some extra protection, dubbed EXTENDED WARRANTY I also purchased a 1 yr SquareTrade warranty. So, that's 1 yr warranty from AMZN and an extension to 2 yr with the purchase of the ST extension, right? WRONG! Despite a chat session with an AMZN rep last eve who confirmed I would have 2 full yrs of warranty, the ST rep says that's incorrect and the 1 yr warranty begins concurrently with the AMZN 1 yr warranty. Talk about obfuscation. I got my money back for the warranty purchase and advised the ST rep that I was NOT pleased with ST's marketing and sales tactics. How many people have done the same thing thinking they had 2 yrs coverage? Lots I bet. If you want 2 yrs coverage you have to pay $30 and the 1st yr overlaps with the Amazon warranty. Paying nearly 1/3 the cost of the device for an extended warranty is a really bad deal. Don't be fooled folks.

Fast, slim, and lightweight

Excellent reader/tablet. Silk web browser is fast and I am able to save apps that are not available in Kindle store. Reader is large and easier to read than my original kindle. Good job on this product. I like it better than my wife's I Pad
