I am not sure what people are complaining about. This thing works flawlessly as long as people read the instruction carefully. However, it might be a little bit challenging for kids who don't have patience.

It is a good lock. If someone really wanted to take if off and had time they probably could but is a nice deturant.

I invested in a MacBook Pro last year, which as everyone knows, is a big investment. I have insurance on the machine for drops, spills, fire, hardware failure. The one thing insurance does NOT cover is theft. I decided to purchase this lock, as a deterrent to someone who might think about casually trying to lift it. The lock is easy to set up and use, and it came at a perfect time as I am traveling for a few weeks at the end of August. I don't leave my valuables laying around, but I love how this gives me that extra layer of security for a high dollar item.

TESTED. It worked. (Remember to insert it properly.)

Today somebody ran into the cafe I was sitting at and literally tried to yank it off my table before giving up and running away. If you use it properly (insert it with the right side facing up, push whole thing in all the way, and secure it properly by pushing the button in all the way) it works. IT REALLY WORKS.

Love this lock. Gives me such piece of mind. I don't have to carry my lapptop everywhere I go. I can now just lock it and know that it is safe and sound.

Works as expected.

Easy to use and install. Wish they had a combo version of this.
