I gave this item to my 4 year old daughter for Christmas and it is definately her favorite gift! She likes to play "store" with random household items and pretend to take money and give change, so we had a hunch she would like having play money to use and the little grocery items are a fun touch for her. The scanner beeps like a real scanner would and the speaker works too! She loves making announcements to her shoppers! Highly recommend!

This is the perfect cash register for my two year old. She loves the buttons and scanner and is OBSESSED with the microphone. I am so very happy with my choice. It isn't too large and the calculator works for real.

I ended up purchasing more!

I first purchased one then ended up gifting another as well although they are Christmas presents and i don't know the kids reactions yet i do remember getting a cash register as a kid and having so much fun playing shopping and checkout with my sister. It's hard to find toys that are interesting to kids and actually give them something fun to do besides sitting in front of a TV or game!

Works great.

Yes, it is pretty small but is perfect for my 3 year old. This is exactly what she wanted for her birthday and was excited to open it up. Her older sisters like it, too, since it is a functional toy that came with lots of extras like money and a credit card. It was dropped on a hard floor a couple of times and the sound wasn't working. My dad opened it up and was able to fix it, though.
