Great mic @ great price

First and foremost, the customer service for this company is top notch. They emailed me within a week or two of receiving the mic just to make sure I was happy with it! Not many sellers on Amazon do that in my experience. I use the mic to record for YouTube videos. I record directly into my phone using Voice Memo app and then sync audio with my video through a movie editor. About the mic, this thing is amazing! The voice-to-background audio ratio is great and everything sounds natural when talking through this mic. The standard foam tip is perfect for when you clip the mic to the outside of your shirt. I personally like to use the mic UNDER my shirt with the dead cat to eliminate any kind of shirt rubbing noises. As you can see from the photo, the dead cat is a little big but it is easy to hide. When under a shirt you can’t even see it. Everything is great so far and due to this excellent customer service, I know that any issues I do have will be resolved. Buy this mic people. You will not regret it.

Great Experience!

I would order from Purple Panda again! The mic is perfect for vlogging,family vids running around and my son loves it as well.It comes in a pouch which I actually really like and I can easily carry it around in my purse and they send a pdf of instructions in case you need to know how it works.It would make a great stocking stuffer for xmas or for teens running around on snap chat! I LOVE Amazon because I always get great sellers that you can communicate with and will do everything to make sure you are happy with your purchase and get everything on time.

Excellent Product Even Better Customer Service!

Let me start off by saying that Purple Panda's customer service is prompt and above the competition! I received my first kit without a TRS adapter and contacted them just asking for the adapter nothing more and they sent me another kit with no hesitation with the TRS adapter! I am very satisfied with the sound quality of this lav mic, I've used it directly to my gopro hero4 and with my zoom h1 and I couldn't be happier with the sound. The gopro has a little bit of white noise, but not enough to be a fuss and with the zoom h1 that white noise is completely eliminated! Sound good is good for the price range

Sound good is good for the price range, comes with all the rpomised accessories in a handy drawstring bag. One useful feature is the TRRS to TRS adapter that's included. It lets you plug the microphone into a standard camera or camcorder mic jack. This makes for a very flexible solution, the mic will work with smartphones/tablets and devices with a mic input like cameras, audio recorders, and camcorders. If you're a new filmmaker you can pick this up and record audio into your smartphone, or use the extension and adapter to plug into your camera.

Value v. Cost - Two Thumbs Up on a quality product

1. Very easy to use - just plugged it in and set my Cinema FV5 app to use external mic and that was it 2. Standard foam mic cover and the additional windsock which others do not provide is a big plus in this kit 3. Extension cord to add alot more length for videoing is another big plus 4. Adapter included with compatibility chart for quick reference 5. GoPro adapter included 6. Extra lapel clip in case you break or lose yours 7. Nice draw string pouch to keep all the extras in for easy use I have used this many times now and I think this is a very good product and it will add great audio to your videos if you are using it like i do to record off my smart phone - I have done video with and without to compare and the difference is awesome for my videos. Works with my GOPro Hero 3+

UPDATE: 01/07/2017 Seller contacted me and gave me compatibility guide and advised me on the proper connection method for GoPro Cameras. One thing I would recommend is for the seller to include the connection instructions in the package and make them abundantly clear, which they did in the follow up e-mail to me. Kit now works with GoPro, will report back on sound quality during use of the microphone. Would recommend it at this point. Update 01/08/2017 Microphone quality is good so far, would recommend the kit for anyone looking to do any kind go pro work with external microphone.

Plug and play

I got this thing to try to get more clear voice recordings with my GoPro Hero6. Total setup time from unboxing to recording audio was minimal. The audio quality of the recordings exceeded my expectations. Basically, I was trying to get a good enough recording that I could hear what I was saying in order to re-record it in a studio voice-over. With this thing, if I can work out how to lower the background noise to suitable levels, I won't need to do the voice-over. Either way, I'm sitting a lot better than I was, and my first impression of this is very favorable.

Came with everything I needed regardless of what device I was using. The quality of the mic and cords were great. I only wish the clip had a way to spin to make it easier to clip to your shirt (is easy for women but I have to spin it around since I am a man and the buttons overlap the opposite way.

a funny little wind muff

Came with a bunch of accessories, clear instructions, a funny little wind muff, and a long extension section. Right from the start I was hugely impressed with the audio quality. Given the price range, the range and fidelity is unmatched. Most budget lav mics suffer from clipping or very low audio reception. This suffers none of that whatsoever. If you need a budget lav mic, you can't go wrong with this one!

Why buy a crap microphone when you can by the best for less than $10 more.

I think the purple panda mic set is great! I do my own video footage from my phone for social media communications and the Purple Panda has helped my professionalism greatly. You can pay 12 bucks for the competitors that give you one mic and 1 adaptor. OR you can get this Purple Panda product for a couple more bucks with many more capabilities! Why buy the cheap crap to just barely get you by when for a worth while investment, get an incredible product that gives you the confidence that your tools are the best available. This is a great company. Obviously as previously stated, I absolutely recommend this company and product. If you believe what you are saying into the microphone is important, invest in a valuable tool to help you be heard much clearer!
