I liked this glass so much I bought a second as a gift!

I get a lot of beer glasses at tastings, etc... I've been keeping an eye out for some of these nucleated glasses for quite some time... after trying one glass for a bit I liked it so much I started purchasing more as a gifts. It's a really good glass!

I bought this to replace a tulip style glass that took a swan dive off my kitchen counter. Since I haven't dropped this one, I can't speak to the durability, but I can say, this is the first beer glass I've ever owned where I could just drunkenly dump a beer in it (I typically know how to pour a beer correctly, do that with this glass, and you'll end up with zero head) and have it not overflow at all. The head stops right at the rim of the glass, even if you just dump it right in there. This is the glass to offer your friend who has no idea how to pour a beer at all. I will say that it does also FEEL solid, but I somehow doubt it would still survive the fate that befell my poor tulip glass. Overall, we've had some pretty good times together so far. If I broke it, I'd order another right away.

Perfect, sturdy design

This really is a glass you can use and will love to use. It has a fantastic design, I particularly appreciate the "tulip" style lip toward the top, as it makes drinking and sipping very enjoyable. Very smooth rim. The "Be Hoppy" logo is so stylish, as is the fantastic looking hop on the front. It really is quality, and will stand up to normal wear and tear. The body is just really symmetrical the entire way, wider than you'd expect, and thick glass, making it a high-quality glass you enjoy drinking from and holding in your hand. I'm drinking some Pseudo Sue from Toppling Goliath to get the pre-July 4th party started, and it tastes fantastic. I do really believe it enhances the flavor of the beer. Incredibly smooth and clean - you can really get a true flavor from it. I really can't overemphasize how easy sipping becomes. It gives you such control over the pace of how you drink your beer, as little or big of a gulp as you choose. So great for sampling the taste in each and every sip. The wide body and rim means you get a true, balanced, consistent flavor in each and every sip. I truly recommend this glass to every avid beer drinker. Get it and see what you're missing. I was choosing between this and the another style of glass, and I do not regret picking this one whatsoever (happy I did). Also, very easy to pick up and walk about with, as it fits so nicely in the hands when you hold it. This should be your IPA go-to.

A perfect gift!

Wow! My sister and her husband are really into craft beers. They mentioned they really wanted some new glass for Christmas, so the search began. I saw these and instantly new they were the right ones. The shape is perfect, the little "Be Hoppy" etching is so cute. I know next to nothing about nucleation, but the bottom of the glass is definitely etched as well. Hopefully that works! I would also like to mention how these came packaged. No plastic, anywhere. These cups have a little cardboard box. Maybe most people don't care about that stuff, but I like to be eco-cautious. Definitely will recommend these cups to anyone.

I bought this thinking it was a little gimicky, but it's awesome!

I have another glass with the laser etching on the bottom, so I know that's actually something that works and does what it is supposed to do, but I thought the shape of the glass was just a gimick. After using it though, I really enjoy it! The shape is perfect for taking a smooth, long sip of good beer, and allows you to get your nose in the glass which adds to the flavor. It is almost impossible to have a 'bad pour', you don't have to be as slow and careful as you normally would pouring a beer, and it always seems to have the perfect amount of head. This holds one 12 oz beer and head perfectly. At first I was kind of annoyed that it isn't a proper 'pint', but then again, most beer I buy comes in 12 or 24 oz increments, so a 16oz glass wouldn't really be that great.

New Favorite Glass!

My husband and I are just getting into the craft beer scene. We are enjoying it so much I thought this glass would be a great gift for him. Boy was I right! I have never heard of nucleation points prior to this glass. Basically it's the bubble or "head" as we call it in Virginia. When you pour a normal glass of beer you get a little bit of head and it dissipates within a couple tastes. This glass, thanks to the etched hop leaf in the bottom creates a steady stream of small bubbles through the whole glass of beer, without ever making it go flat. It also does trap the smell of the beer in the glass so you get a great aroma every time. There are other glasses of this design but I have none to be etched on the bottom. Try this one and you will be blown away at the difference of taste in your beer. I will eventually be purchasing the entie set.

The perfect pint? I think so.

I am an avid craft beer fan and drinker. I have many, many types of glassware for beers and this one has to be one of my favorites. The hop design on the side is very cool, the etching in the bottom is also really neat. It's a very wide mouth glass so you get the aroma and flavor you are looking for. It's easy to hold in your hand and holds a good amount of beer. Definitely 5 stars and is now my everyday glass.

Unique, quality glass - great for enjoying good beer!

The first thing I noticed is the glass is thicker than it appeared to be in the picture, so that was a nice surprise. The bottom is sturdy and weighted. I've already had a few types of beer out of this (lager, wheat ale, IPA, stout), and it was really cool to see that the nucleated etching at the bottom actually works. It creates a nice little stream of carbonation that constantly rises to the top, keeping the head for much longer than a normal glass would. The edges on the rim are rounded and smooth, so it's very comfortable to drink out of. Easy to clean, I just hand wash it. I definitely recommend it. Also, the customer service seems great. The follow up emails are polite and charming. If I had a problem with anything, it seems like it would be easy to resolve.

Next Great Beer Glass for Your Collection

If you're a craft beer drinker like me, you probably have a collection of beer glasses (or at least you should). I have my favorites, and this glass has now entered that list. When I look for a good beer drinking glass, I need to have the following: Wide open mouth Thick Construction Nucleation Sites (little things at bottom that makes continuous bubbles) Cleans Easy This glass has all of these characteristics and a cool logo that says "Be Hoppy". Why not? Everyone should be hoppy especially when drinking beer. I've yet to try this beer on other beer types, but I believe it will not let me down. I've washed it several times, and it cleans easy. The nucleation sites on the bottom are in the shape of a hop leaf and continually release bubbles while I drink to help maintain the head. The bottom is thick so not much heat transfers to your beer from your hand. The mouth is wide so you can let those hop-heavy beers open and breathe. The glass fits the hand well unlike other beer glasses I own. I've listed all the pros, so I must head to the cons. Cons; Have to buy another to match Have to buy more beer to continually test glass Overall, this is an awesome glass, and I highly suggest it if you are looking for a great beer drinking glass. Replaced my Spiegelau IPA glasses

I used the Spiegelau IPA glasses for about 2 years, and I loved them. The glass on the Spiegelau is thin, but it's more durable than most people think. However after two unfortunate drops, they both shattered. I decided to try something different, and I've been very happy with the Ultimate Pint glass. It's similar shape, so still promotes a good beer head and maximizes flavor (or so they claim), but it also has a more durable feel in your hand, not so delicate. My favorite difference is that I can reach the sponge all the way to the bottom of this glass when washing it, something I could never do with the Spiegelau, and it felt like it wasn't ever getting completely clean at the bottom.
