This is the solution I've been looking for. I've got three tight closets which all have the old acorn standard fixtures. They hang 10 inches below ceiling level and make the top shelf useless or at least limited use. I wanted a simple fix without removing the existing junction box and having to install a retro fit can. This fixture is perfect if you are replacing a fixture with junction box as it replaces the old light remarkable well. Shut down the electric at the fuse box, remove old fixture and replace with the light disk. Same connect as previous light and mounts with the same hardware as old fixture. The whole process took all of 30 minutes and we now have a flush mount, LED 5000k, super clean light. And, access to the top shelf of closet. Instructions are clear and have drawings to help with proper connect. It seems well built and sturdy. The lens that covers the LED's is removed by twisting counter clockwise, I wish I could say it's easy but it's not, there is no good way to apply enough pressure to twist lens, but keep trying and it will eventually come off. Putting the lens back on is a little easier but it is built to some pretty tight standards. Beautiful bright white light, easy to install and priced right. I'm buying two more... Item comes with all the hardware you will need and shipped double boxed.

We were planning to install recessed can lights. The handyman cut holes before measuring and hit roof trusses that would prevent us from installing the recessed cans. These really flat LED fixtures saved us from patching holes and retexturing the ceiling. You need flat pancake boxes that pretty much have the thickness of the drywall. Then these led mount on top. They look almost identical to can lights. Ideal for situations where you simply don't have the space and access to put cans in. The nice thing is that they come with the light socket screw in adapter and the spring loaded arms so that you can use them as a remodel for the old incandescent cans. In our case that was good so we could fit the existing fixtures in the adjacent room with the same LED lights. It looks now coherent and no one knows that we had a mistake happen. I am glad I found them. I will use the rest of the ones we had not used in my living room to add some light. I would order them again in a heartbeat and will do so. One side note. They are daylight color so the light appears cooler than the warm light units that I typically use. But that is truly a matter of personal preferences. Update: We started using these on all our installs and I even use them on the conversions from the incandescent light bulbs. With these we dont have to use the large cans. On new installs we simply use round remodel boxes that are easy to install. When space is tight we continue to use the flat pancake boxes. When we have existing can lights we simply use the screw in conversion adaptor.

Awesome value, with a high-end look! I installed over 60 of these lights in my new construction home. Much more efficient than cans, and saved thousands of dollars by installing simple cheap gasketed lighting boxes instead of can fixtures. I installed the 2700k warm white in the house, with a 12 pack of 4000k bright white in my 3-car garage which lit it nicely. Definitely happy with the result. Yes, the light is a bit concentrated in the center if staring at it, but who cares, and who stares right into a bright light when its on? They look clean when turned off, and it spreads light very nicely from my 9ft ceilings.

As I had read previous reviews about this product I was a little sceptical concerning the arrangement of the LEDs and the opacity of the plastic cover. But upon receiving the product, Parmida must have taken these reviews into consideration. The LED arrangement is much wider than I was anticipating and thus the light dispersion is great. I have used a variety of LED disk lights and these are by far the best deal I have seen. I would highly recommend these lights to anyone.

A great option if you don't want to install an entirely new recessed light and housing. I used 5 of these to replace contractor dome lights in my hall and laundry room. Took about 5 minutes total per light to remove a dome light, connect the new light, and affix this light on a standard 3" circular junction box. Well made with a series of holes to fit various junction box sizes. Looks like a standard recessed light at a fraction of a recessed light cost, and way easier to install. Very bright, good light tones (3000K was warm, the 4000K was brighter/truer color). I'd recommend a dimmer switch if it's for a living area versus a utility/hallway area. Excellent product, already recommending this to a couple of coworkers who are doing some remodeling. Very fast shipping, great seller. Overall, definitely recommend the product and the seller.

After installing (which was very easy) 3 of these 4K LED lights, I wrote an email to the seller and got a very quick and complete reply. I'll post both my email and their reply below. Your 4K LED lights are very nice for the price! However, there are 3 Improvements I'd suggest: 1. Your directions say to remove the lens by turning counter clockwise, but that would tighten them, so you should delete the word counter! Also, your instructions also say to replace the lens by turning clockwise which also should be corrected. 2. Your directions say to remove the 2 stickers on the back, but I found that if you leave the stickers in place and simply push the screw through the correct hole that the sticker will hold your screw in place as you are trying to get it started to thread into the junction box. 3. The extra internal diffuser lens inside the fixture makes the light dim and grayish. I had to remove them to get acceptable light. In my opinion, these should be left out of the manufacturing or you should mention in the installation instructions that the end user may want to remove them. I can't see that they would really be needed or that they make the lights better in any way. 1. Thank you for bringing this to our attention! Our 4” disk lights require the lens to be turned counter clockwise for removal hence the oversight. We will have this corrected in our instructions ASAP- thank you again! 2. We have found previously that when the sticker is not removed remnants of it get stuck on the screw, making it difficult to thread into the junction box, so for ease we advised it to be removed. But of course- we will discuss including this option into the installation guide! 3. This is a very good point and has been an ongoing topic of discussion for us, as we previously manufactured these lights without the diffuser. The intended purpose of the diffuser lens is to provide a more dispersed flood light instead of a spot light effect achieved when the diffuser is not in place. We will definitely review the wording of the installation instructions (as suggested) and note that it is optional for the end user to remove them!

Our life before PARMIDA.... Like most consumers, we went to the big box store and purchased LED flush mount lights ranging in price from $30-$80, supposedly high end and worth the price. Turns out, they were difficult to install, required more installation parts, awkward mounting, and maxed at 4000k which cast a very yellow hue on everything. We tried to talk ourselves into liking the "high end" lights. We tried to convince ourselves we'd get used to the yellowish light. We tried to feel like the product was worthy of the price. Despite our best efforts to convince ourselves otherwise and brainwash ourselves into a different reality, we failed. We hated the lights. We hated trying to install them. We hated the way they mounted against the ceiling. We hated living in a yellow world. So, as is typical of home improvement projects, we were frustrated and we returned all of the lights to the big box store. After regrouping and doing a bit of searching, we unexpectedly found the PARMIDAs. We read the good and bad reviews, we read about wiring issues, we read about less than even light diffusion. We wanted the 5000k daylight and we wanted the flush mount LEDs, and PARMIDA was just about the only game in town. So, we went all in. What was there to loose? A whole lot less than what we had already spent. We were already discouraged and skeptical. What's one more disappointment or difficulty when doing home improvements. And then, rather quickly, something happened. A box was delivered. And from there, things were very different in our DIY world....we experienced PARMIDA and things haven't been the same!!!! The ease of installation was shocking. We kept checking and double checking the box and simple instructions to make sure we didn't miss something because we couldn't believe it was that easy. But we didn't and it really was that easy! No extra hardware, no trips to the hardware store, no modifications, no instructions lacking in actual instruction, no difficulty. And if that wasn't shocking enough, retro fitting our old can lights were even easier than the flush mount if that was even possible. When we flipped on the lights we were bathed in beautiful white light at 5000k. These little lights have some serious range and illumination. They might be little, but you wouldn't know it by the light they put out. This is an outstanding product for an unbelievable price!!! We couldn't be happier. It looks like the company is responsive to customer comments because any concerns raised in past reviews were completely resolved in the model and style of light we purchased. The PARMIDAs are without a doubt well designed, sleek, understated, and down right impressive. We've replaced 24 lights, 8 of which were retro fit canned lights, with the PARMIDAs. We sat down and ran the numbers. If we had replaced 24 lights with the ones we had previously bought and then returned to the big box store, we would have spent between $600-$1400. How foolish would that have been!?! When does this happen in life....when does a modest $8 product of equal or better production quality, easier installation/set up, out perform the high end products by a mile? Well, this is one of those times in life. And, it feels incredible!!! We keep running around the house turning on and off the lights just because we can't believe how great they are and how bright the rooms light up. And, we're going around our house trying to find any other fixtures to replace because we get such a kick out of the little PARMIDAs. Needless to say, our closet lights are going to be replaced with PARMIDAs, the garage will be getting PARMIDAs installed, the gimbles in front of our fireplace, the light in the storage room, and any other light we can find. I'm sure you're thinking we were compensated for this review. We weren't. We really are everyday people, with everyday jobs, doing some DIY home projects with a modest budget, and we're truly this excited about a home improvement product being better than expected, at nominal cost, with no installation hassle, no extra trips to the hardware store, and out performs the far more expensive products. We've been living with our PARMIDAs for two weeks now...and we're still in disbelief!!! This was a big WIN on all 24 lights, for DIYers, and for the pocketbook.

These lights were exactly what we needed. We recently finished our basement and installed 7 of these LEDs as overhead flush mounts, and they work great. We have low ceilings and wanted something thin and discrete- these are VERY thin lights that look recessed (and have adapter to fit into recessed cans if needed). They are plenty bright, and we got dimmers to adjust as needed. They dim very low and have no issues with flickering or strobe. There is a list of compatable LED dimmers to choose from. It's nice to have the option to choose color warmth- we went with 4K warmth, which is a bright light between yellow and daylight. Price was great, and the install was easy for someone without much electrical expertise. At 15 Watts we'll be saving a lot of money, 22 year estimated bulb life, rated for damp locations, energy star certified and completely dimmable. Overall great product, and would highly recommend.

Many poor reviews from as recent as 8 months ago were complaining about a screw protruding into the black power cable causing a short or failure. Another common complaint is the light was not diffused properly. The batch I got has longer black wire length therefore avoiding the protruding screw. The screw is also no longer a pointed screw but s flat end screw, alleviating the possibility of cutting through the black wire. The manufacturer also added a diffuser between the lens and the LEDs. It is not perfect but it does show the manufacturer is monitoring feedback and making product improvements. Well done!

These things are great! I installed 20 of them yesterday in a garage celing (junction boxes). We originally were going to do recessed lighting but due to living space above and the fire code requiremts for can we decided on some surface mounts. We originally found one at a home center but they were much more expensive. I had some aprehension about these as in the photo they looked a bit odd (compared to the one at the home center). These are actually much better looking! Very low (thin profile). The best part is the manufacturer includes everything you could possibly need to install them. They come with 2 lengths of screws to attach to your junction box, as well as the hardware if your using cans. The ends of the wire are coated with solder to make them easy to insert with the included quick connects. Great value and they look great and the box says they have a 5 year warranty.
