good product

I have not really had a chance to really break it in. I got it earlier this week but have been working. but when i have used it the cooling on my laptop as drastically improved. before it was running really hot and since while playing a game on my Alienware 17 R3 the temps have gone way down.

I have tried three other cooling units. This is the only one that cools my 8 year old laptop which generates a lot of heat.

Quiet Cooling Pad

I love this cooling pad. It does the job of keeping my laptop cool and the fans are quiet. Being able to adjust the speed of the fans and the pad itself are pluses; although I don't use the height adjustment. The USB plugin is also convenient. I recommend it.

Works terrific so far!

The Good Stuff: The Klim Cyclone cooling pad is better in most ways than I anticipated. It is quieter by far than I expected, and with varying fan speeds, you can reduce the noise to a degree. This is probably some of the best fan-cooled tech out there--I never even get slightly warm left-hand keys, let alone hot ones. And for a cooling pad that works this well, you can't exactly beat the price. The Less Good Stuff: For my personal desk/computer configuration, this cooling pad isn't exactly ideal, and there does get to be some fatigue in long sessions. The pad is fairly thick at the front edge, which coupled with the thickness of my computer leads to some forearm and/or wrist strain--however to be fair I don't *think* there's anything the manufacturer can really do about that (unless they want to include wrist support), and most people are probably not using it in the confined space that I am. Overall, after using it for a couple of weeks, I'm pretty happy with the product and wouldn't hesitate to buy from this company again if they maintain their current apparent standards.

Keeps it cool

Bought for my Grandsons gaming laptop which was putting out a lot of heat. This really, really helped.

An awesome product!

What a difference. A drop of 10c right off the bat, in the middle of a game too! Can feel cold air moving around the room! Holy crap I'm impressed! Well priced, and very stylish cooling pad. The bonus USB port is a nice feature. The legs are great to get the pad off the ground. Next update: please add non-skid feet to the pad, they slip pretty good on glass desks.

Impressive

I have been very impressed with this cooler so far. I have a dedicated gaming laptop in a desk cubby, I noticed that the CPU was throttling. Seems obvious now but the laptop was over heating. The cooler has helped with temp issues, and I am impressed at how quiet it runs, plus the dials on the side to control how many fans are running plus fan speed is a nice feature.

A cool laptop and happy customer

I bought this laptop cooler because my last cooling pad really just wasn't very effective and it was loud. My laptop was constantly overheating and almost daily it would reset to cool down. So far the KLIM Cyclone has solve all of my problems. All the heavy tasks that would cause my laptop to reset before are no longer an issue since I have been using the Cyclone and the sound level is great. I can barely tell it is is running as the volume on the fans is very low. Overall a very good purchase and it is doing exactly what my previous cooling pad could not do. I am a happy customer.

Well Designed, Solid, Quiet, & Delivers As Promised

I ordered the KLIM Cyclone Cooling Pad for my 17-inch HP ENVY laptop. It took just a few minutes to unpack and setup this product. I first tested the device by plugging it into a USB wall outlet. The two wheel, located along the right front side control separate banks of fans and blue LED lights, and the fan speeds. I like the solid design, feel of the cooling stand, and whisper quiet, barely noticeable sounds coming from all 5 fans, even when operating all simultaneously at maximum RPM. As others have reported, there is a long channel at the front of the unit, towards the bottom edge, in which to insert a folded paper card that is provided and serves as a safety stop for one's laptop. I first tried using the paper folded card, and then replaced it with something more substantial, three expired plastic gift cards, that were more sturdy and less flexible. Together, all 3 of these cards fit perfectly into the channel, but I noticed a slight increase in CPU temperature when I moved my laptop higher to accommodate this feature. For my purposes, because I use the lowest angle of incline, and since my HP laptop has several anti-skid rubber cushions, on an all metal heavy case, and it is always use it at a fixed work area, I decided that it was not necessary to add any safety barrier to prevent slippage. For anyone who wants such extra security against, I suggest using old credit or gift cards that can easily be cut and trimmed in a paper cutter, to provide more added support. Also, I noticed that once my laptop is placed on the stand, these is hardly any visible blue LED illumination, even at night with all room lighting turned off. Other than these minor issues, I like everything about this product, which I bought to replace a popular cooling stand that I purchased over 4 years ago on Amazon, and which has just started to operate erratically. I also like this vendor's policy of reaching out to each customer with a message that is friendly, very humorous, and also contains a very useful eBook guide to maintaining optimum computer performance. I added an image of my computer's temperature that was generated by a separate App while using this KLIM cooling stand product. I think that anyone who is considering either a new or replacement cooling stand can buy this product with confidence, knowing that the seller stands behind it, and wants users to be completely satisfied. Great Product

I love this product. It arrived on time and everything has been working just fine. The center fan does occasionally squeak from the spinning, but that is probably just exclusive to my machine and needs some oil. If you are looking for something to cool your laptop while you work or play, this is the perfect product.
