• Universal coupler lock fits virtually all 1-7/8", 2", and 2-5/16" trailer couplers.
  • Bright red finish discourages thief's from messing with your trailer.
  • Resists rust and corrosion. Simple installation and removal.
  • Advanced locking mechanism resists picking and prying.
  • We can NOT key two (2) of these locks the same. The similar 379KA coupler locks are available keyed alike. The only difference between this one (389DAT) and the 379KA is the color.

So I bought 2 of these for my trailers. I put them on about a week ago. Yesterday I needed my trailer and even I couldn't get it off. The lock was FROZEN after one night of 32 degrees. Ugg...go get the heat gun, go get an electrical cord and drag it out to the trailers. I couldn't get the key in the lock, then I could not turn the lock and the lock was frozen to the trailer. So FYI, if you know your going to need your trailer, be prepared to thaw it out. Other wise, great lock to keep good guys out. Bad guys will find a way.

Having used the hoop style locks to secure my trailers in the past I often found those difficult to use in cold conditions, so I was looking for an easier and more robust option. This lock is easy quick to secure, adjustable (2” ball in our case) and the side orientation of the lock helps to keep weather from direct contact with the lock mechanism. Eye catching red color to serve as a visual deterant as well.

Beefy hitch lock; heavy duty and should hold off the bad guys. All steel and not aluminum like some of the others sold here on Amazon. Using it on cargo trailer.

The benefit of any doubt goes to Master Lock on this anti-theft trailer lock. I think it's worth the money and worthy of five stars--although if I could lower my rating 1/2 star, I would. I am just a little wary of the cheap feel and weight of the key. Seems like it could very easily break if the lock sticks or gets dirt inside that would make it difficult to open and close with the key.

Fits my 2" coupler. Easy to install. Be sure to slide the ball on the lock all the way forward before removing the key from the lock. You want as little play as possible in the lock to be sure it can't be removed.

Very strong trailer lock. Park at ATV parks and ride all day. Hate to leave a very expensive trailer all day without any protection from theft. Gives you peace of mind.

Works great and gives a little extra piece of mind leaving my trailer parked. In no way shape or form to I consider this device physically impassable. Security involves several systems working together to deter, not prevent, thievery. Nothing can really stop a determined criminal...but time and exposure are a criminal's main enemies. I have not had to opportunity to see it tested yet, but without locksmith skills a thief is going to have to make a lot of noise trying to hammer this thing lock my rig. Making things loud and inconvenient for a thief is often more important than making them absolutely secure...and this little red lock is a warning for how inconvenient my trailer will be to steal...because it is the tip of the iceberg in regard to my security traps.

Bought this for a dump trailer. The thing I like about it is the design. My old lock required you to achieve a contortionists pose while you unlocked it from the under side. This has a key that turns from the side, easily locking or unlocking the coupler. Great rugged design. Bright red discourages scoundrels from messing with my trailer.

Made from forged steel, fit well and covers the hitch. Easy to put on and take off. Anything can be broken or taken off if someone wants something bad enough. I looked at many other options, this one seems to be the most secure and difficult to remove without the key.

Put it on my little 5x10 trailer. Nice deterrent and at least they'll have to work a little to get it. I like it a lot better than the Reese tow power hitch locks I've had in the past. I had two of them jam up and all it took was a small tap with a small hammer to break them off. I have a heavier duty lock on my more expensive car hauler.
