These are easy to use and make great poached eggs. I don't use vinegar as I don't find they need it. Yes, a bit of egg whites will leak out but it is so minor. I like that I can crack the egg into them, set a timer and go about other business. I found them and my pans easy to clean.

These are fantastic! I love poached eggs but hate adding vinegar to the water to keep the whites from spreading too much. These solve the problem without the need for vinegar. Just keep water to a gentle boil. Easy to use and clean.

We love making poached eggs and these little cups make it extremely easy to poach four eggs in one pot without any fuss. I highly recommend this item for anyone who loves poached eggs, but is not the most adept at doing so. We put four of these into a pot of simmering water (and white vinegar). We crack the eggs (one at a time) into a small bowl and gently slide the egg into an egg poacher. They slide down into the lower section and poach perfectly.

This is fantastic. I have been trying to make a real poached egg for YEARS. Best try was with Julia Child’s trick but that takes a few more steps and this is easier. I prefer to buy kitchen tools that have more than one use (good advice from Alton Brown) but this is my exception. Few pointers. First, try just one egg first to get your preferred time down. I set a timer at 2 minutes and 50 seconds for a runny yolk and large egg. Gives me a few extra moments to get it out of the water. They give you recommended times but it varies. Secondly, add a splash of vinegar to help keep the egg white together. Thirdly, make sure the water is a rolling boil and not a rapid boil. And lastly, spray the bottom of the pan with nonstick spray before adding water in. My eggs stuck to bottom a bit first time so that helps it. I’ll be using this on a regular basis and so happy to found this great tool. Not sure why anyone gave this a poor review because if you use it correctly they should come out pretty perfect. And if you don’t like the tiny strings on the top edge just snip them off. No biggie.

This gadget makes poaching eggs the "old school" way possible even for a toddler. It does require a bout 4" depth (eyeball measure); I used them in a cusinart large skillet. Before you use these you need to understand the mechanics of poached eggs; you need water, vinegar, patience. The water must be hot but not boiling (as little movement as possible, really), after you've achieved this (~170 degrees; I keep a laser thermometer in my kitchen) place the cups, dump the eggs; START A TIMER. Your perfectly poached eggs will be ready soon. I'm buying 4 more of these as gifts to people that I know, like me, lack the patience and skill to make a poached egg the traditional way.

These work! Simmering water, 1 tablespoon white vinegar, cover and set your timer. Perfection. My daughter is a professional chef and will undoubtedly laugh at me for needing a hack--but these WORK! Recommending them to friends!

A word to the wise: I did boil the cups for some time first, disposing of the water, to clean the surface and eliminate the chemicals that might leach out (as I do with other products). I then followed the really simple directions by reviewer Ernst P. (2017). "The water must be hot but not boiling (as little movement as possible, really), after you've achieved this (~170 degrees; ....place the cups, dump the eggs; START A TIMER." At 4.5 minutes the egg was absolutely perfect (for my taste). A bonus for me is the ease with which I can fetch just the yoke from the water with a slotted spoon: (OXO 1191300).

So many of these OXO silicone products are hit-or-miss, but these egg poachers are definitely a hit! I've tried several egg poachers over the years and these are far and away the best. They quickly and easily create perfectly poached eggs. What I found works best is not exactly the instructions that come in the box though. For best results, fill your pot up to the marked line as instructed and bring your water up to a rolling boil. Then, drop your eggs into the poachers and immediately remove your pot from heat. Let the eggs sit for four minutes before taking them out. The residual heat will cook your eggs to the perfect poach and the silicone poachers will hold them together. Fast, easy, and infinitely repeatable for as many eggs as you want to poach.

FINALLY! My long search is over for a solution that really works! The eggs poach perfectly! The process involves simply dropping an egg into the poacher and waiting a few minutes for the desired level of firmness - no stirring the water to create a vortex or messing with the egg during cooking! This means that when you need to cook for several guests, multiple poachers can be used to prepare as many eggs as needed at the same time! There was even a handy chart with suggested poaching times which is dead-on accurate. Cleanup is a breeze! I am ordering another set and won't poach any other way than with Good Grips. My only negative comment is that I will probably eat way more Eggs Benedict than I should now that it is so easy to prepare the eggs!

We are fans of poached eggs, and these little cups make it all so easy. Just pop into simmering water & drop your eggs. I found that it helps to crack the egg into a small cup to better slide into the poacher. The eggs bubble away & you can pull the poacher out with tongs, when the eggs are done to your liking. Then just fish the eggs out with a slotted spoon.
