Helps with my pain
This is my second pair. I also have the greenish/gray pair purchased at a department store and available on Amazon as well. I developed heel pain and plantar fasciitis wearing sneakers that had a minimal arch and were too wide for my narrow heel across the whole back of my foot. I basically had little support. The heel problem developed slowly until one day my left foot let me know time was up for the shoes I was wearing. One day OK, next day, Yikes!! I researched my problem then went to a store carrying lots of brands of shoes to try on while my foot was painful. Was so pleased to find these. There is an approval seal from the American Podiatric Medical Assn on the box. I hoped they could help and they have. They are tight and narrow across my heel and have lots of support. I held up all my pairs that caused this problem to compare the backs with the ASICS. Unbelievable. The old ones were at least twice as wide. Inside I also slide in an orthodic with a great arch and bottom padding right on top of the arch in the bottom liner that is built in there, although with a good orthodic maybe you wouldn’t need the liner and it can come out. Lots of places have inexpensive orthodics as does Amazon to try. They are worth a try. They all are a little different and I tried four different brands. Found the one I liked the best. Mine have a deep heel cup and good arch. I think using an orthodic will be trial and error for everyone or maybe you wouldn’t need one at all, but I have to say these shoes along with the orthodic insert have really worked. It will take a while to heal so my research says, but at least now I’m not limping, I’ve resumed my normal activities (I’m a daily walker), and along with some easy exercises for this problem and occasional recommended ice packs in the evening, I feel that I’m on the road to recovery. Things are definitely better and with two pairs of these shoes now I have a choice! Hope my experience helps someone else. Remember though it’s a slow recovery.

Great trail runners
Another great pair. I've been wearing Asics for years and like the fit for my flat feet. Roomy toe box and well-fitting heels means zero blisters for me. These Gel-Kahanas have rugged tread for navigating rocky trails and uneven roads. The long stabilizer in the sole gives me the support needed to power up and down hills without making my (lack of) arches hurt. Love the color combos, I want them all!

These are too good to last long so I'm buying an extra pair now
Ok, these are the most comfortable sneakers I've ever owned. I'm a mostly neutral runner (very slight pronator) with average-to-wide feet and arches that are neither flat nor high. After getting burned on some of the most recent Gel-Noosa versions that made my hips hurt after a run, I tried the Gel-Kahana 8 not expecting much. Wow, was I surprised. Some have said the shoe runs small; it does, a bit, but in my case at least, my usual size fits snugly and feels great. It feels like my feet are being massaged as I move, which makes me want to walk, run, and take the stairs more often. No pain after a run. I can't wear my very thickest socks with these because they are too snug, but I can still wear a decent running sock with them. My only concern is that these are so good they'll disappear soon. So here I am buying a backup pair less than a full week after the original pair—which I've been wearing nonstop—arrived.

Great laces, nice color, good support
I had a knee strain and my doctor said the floppy slip-ons I was wearing to walk the dog, go shopping, etc. was the cause. Get some good supporting shoes with ties on top. This had great reviews. Unbelievable. From the initial day I could feel the difference with every step. Within four days I no longer had to bind my knee, and within 2 weeks the knee wasn't waking me up from sleep every time I rolled over. I wear them 15 hours a day. I hate pink and am not into loud colors. I happen to love both grey and turquoise--or light blue. What's surprising is in the past the laces would come untied 3-4 times per day unless I double-knotted them. These do not. I tie them once per day, single knot, and they are the perfect length. I bought the 7 medium. The toe box on these is nice; sometimes the toe box is too tight for me on size 7. I do not run. I have a high arch, and on these I was able to lift the existing inside liner and place my arch support underneath it. Now I can slip the shoe on and off never worrying about dislodging the arch support or have it move when the glue weakens. It stays put, and never looks like I have arch supports.

Good looking and amazing fit!
Love these ASICS! Especially the bottoms because they grip better while walking through the snow. I would definitely purchase these again! Also I like the fact I can take the insoles out and put my orthotics in these shoes. I stand in a pharmacy approx 8-9 hours a day. Walk miles and miles, I get a new pair of ASICS every 6 months or so! They always hold up very well.

I love these shoes
This is right around my 8th pair of Gel Kahana's. I love these shoes. I wear them every day and they last and look great for at least a year. I buy one pair every year - the old ones get to be my gardening shoes and I wear them another year or more. Highly recommend them.

Perfect for fussy feet!
Love these shoes! So much cushion between me and the trail or road, and they fit like a glove. I have high arches, and am prone to plantar fasciitis, and these shoes are perfect to keep my feet in good, working order. Also, they have a great, grippy sole that is perfect for dirt and gravel trails, and also fine indoors. I am about to order another pair to have as a spare.

Wonderful shoes with excellent support for trail walking!
After wearing these a few days, I am happy with my purchase. I ordered a 9 instead of 8 1/2 as many commented that these shoes ran small. I sometimes have to use orthotics so needed room for them. The arch support and construction of the shoe is excellent, so no need for orthotics for me. I do not feel stones or roots during trail walks. They are roomy enough for a heavy sock and have plenty of room in the toe box . I have a narrow hee,l but am able to tighten the laces to avoid heel slippage. I love these shoes and highly recommend them

Happy Feet!
The shoes seem to run small...so I ordered 1/2 size up...perfect for me. I like this shoe because it is a little wider than some others and gives my toes plenty of room. The sole seems to have a good "grip" and will give firm footing. The colors are nice as well. I plan to wear these on an upcoming trip: expect lots of walking around town and on easy trails.

I am an Asics fan!!!!!
I am a true Asics fan and this shoe is no exception! I love this pair the fit is great, love the price and wild about the color combination.I buy the Spencoe insloes at a great price on Amazon and I can walk comfortably all day. I do not drive so I pretty much walk everywhere and often log 45-50 miles per week and these shoes really help me to do that. Also, I am no spring chicken but these shoes help me defy the odds. They are super comfortable and supportive so I can be active and happy thanks to Amazon,Spencoe and of course my beloved Asics. You will not be disappointed if you purchase these honest!!! I have bought at least 35 pairs of Asics over the years and loved them all.
