I purchased this for my Galaxy Note 8 and it works perfect for what I purchased it for which is a mobile observatory app that has a 3D model of the solar system. Pros: It is comfortable to wear with prescription glasses. It is very inexpensive to purchase. It is quality made and appears to be very durable. It is very easy to adjust to fit both your eyes and your head. It is very portable and collapses and folds into a nice little case. Cons: These cons apply mainly to the Note 8 and possibly any large screen phone that you try and put into this headset. First off I had to remove my phone from my OtterBox case in order for it to fit correctly. The next problem I had was the Bixby button being pushed by accident when the phone was in the headset causing me to have to open the headset pull the phone out and cancel the Bixby function. Eventually I just simply disable the Bixby button entirely to solve the issue. Some of my VR apps allowed me to rotate the phone so that the Bixby button was on top which worked very well but some of my apps did not allow me to rotate it and the Bixby button was forced to be down and would be pushed if the headset was jostle too much. The next issue that I had was because of the large screen of the Note 8. A couple of VR apps used my entire screen and disabled the back button and home buttons so that the entire screen could be used. When this was done then the separation between centers could not be handled correctly by this headset and I would get double vision that I could not resolve. Some VR apps allowed me to shrink the two images and then I could Center the phone correctly and get a good clear 3D image. Conclusion: Even with the issues that I had with my large screen Note 8, that in most instances I could resolve, I would definitely recommend this inexpensive headset over the more expensive ones because it is very comfortable for people who have to wear glasses and it is cheap enough to be a great value!

So 8 bucks... Read a little bit about the Google Cardboard and Daydream VR platforms that have been out for a few years now. I'm not rich, so this was my pick. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this pair. Don't expect to feel like you are watching a 3D 200 million dollar movie in the theater. But pretty cool! Reminds me of the old SD Imax from 20-30 years ago but you can watch just about anything you want! They don't fit the best, a little light leaks in. And even with the lenses all the way maxed out to the sides, it seems like it could use just a mm more push. The capacitive feedback button (enter or home basically) takes a firm but gentle press to click, but some of the goggles I was checking out that are 4-5x more didn't have this button. So all in all, 5 stars all around!

Headset works perfectly and as expected. Video looks sharp, straps are secure, weight is minimal, comfortable to wear for a reasonable time. My only issues are with the "cardboard" headsets in general (not the Spectre in particular), which ALL have more or less the same issues: 1 - Phone attachment is thin, so most phones will not fit with any kind of protective case attached. This is not unreasonable, but I wish they would state this specifically. With a case attached, even if you can get the back to latch securely, the focus will be off because the screen is a bit too far from the lens. 2 - Once the phone is installed you can't reach the screen for any screen controls like pause, fast forward, next video, etc. Unlike many headsets, at least the Spectre is open enough to allow access to volume buttons and headphone jack (on most phones). In summary, this is an excellent product at a great price, just be aware of the universal limitations.

I had to take out the head straps because they did not fit/hold well with the design. I am fine with just holding the device to look around as I use this for short amounts of time. I liked how the device was easy to pack/unpack into the storage box. It was a little confusing at first to unfold for the first time, but it is pretty nice. I use this as development/testing of my simple Google Cardboard apps on my Samsung Galaxy Edge 7 Phone. There is a capacitive button on the VR headset which my phone magically detects when using a Google Cardboard/VR compatible app. For the price, it was a good value and it stores in a pretty case. Seems better than cheap cardboard!

This is so awesome! I bought one for myself and one for my grandson. Highly recommend. Over 1000 be videos on Amazon and utube

I use this item for exhibitions related to my job. In the past I used Google cardboards and would just throw them or give them away after a while. This one is cheaper that the cardboard, and way better. My young son also gets a kick out of watching 360 videos with my iPhone. This is portable, works well enough for minor use, and the price is unbeatable.

After looking at all of the cardboard headsets that have to be assembled, and most with no straps, my granddaughter and I discovered these. Made from plastic and silicone, they’re collapsible and easy to take along. We’ve found they work very well with the “side by side” videos on YouTube (some are better made than others, so that limits our choices), but with the full-screen 360 ones (which we love), I’ve found that I need to close one eye, or get the feeling of being cross-eyed. They also come with an adjustable 3-way head strap, with one strap for the top of the head to carry the weight of the goggles - the cardboard versions that I’ve seen don’t have that. The lenses are adjustable with buttons that slide them from side to side, and there’s another button which from what I can tell just pauses the video. That’s another thing - the videos usually contain ads, so I wish the pause button would allow you to also skip the ads, but doesn’t seem to work that way. The goggles themselves are 5-stars, just wish there were more videos that worked well with them.

My 15-year-old son bought these since he couldn't afford the electronic versions. He is super science-y whiz kid, so he enjoys figuring out how to connect the headset, and make it work just as well as the more pricey options. He's been enjoying for about two weeks now, and still holds his interest.

Much more comfortable than the last pair I got of a different brand. Eye relief is great, and greatly reduces the headache feeling I've had in previous vr headsets.Has an adjustable strap to hold into place on your head. It works well on adult heads, meet the nreds of each user. Feels secure on my head during use. Doesnt feel lile they are sliding everywhere like some vr headsets do.they work great. Would highly suggest this set,

The build of the thing feels good, nothing about the thing itself was faulty or damaged (though for some reason a corner of the box was a bit smooshed, but like I said, the product itself was fine) and for what little you could do with Phone VR, these goggles are a great use over anything made of cardboard. Granted, if it was higher in price, it probably wouldn't be quite as worth it. All in all, I got what I paid for, and I'm happy.
