I've been a long-time user of "regular" Brita filters, not realizing for a long time that - contrary to what I'd assumed - they actually were filtering out harmful particulates like lead, and not just (mostly) making your water taste a bit better. Once I learned that recently when shopping for new filters and seeing these longlast filters, I hesitatingly pulled the trigger on a pack of these. Seeing all the same reviews on this page I'm sure you do about no drainage, problems, etc, I was 50% sure I just bought useless trash that I was going to have to throw away. To my pleasant surprise, I've had absolutely no issues with mine. The only thing I can think of that might of made a difference is that after pre-filtering a few Brita's worth water, I shook my filter up and down a bit hoping to 'loosen' the filter stones a little bit, and then I've just left in in my Brita since. Don't get me wrong, it definitely is a bit slower than my old filters, but it's nothing so crazy as what reviewers here have described, and i've never had a situation where I needed water but am waiting for the filter to do it's work. Maybe I was lucky and got one of the few non-defective units, but for now, I'm happy that I have a working filter that is actually improving my health and filtering out bad contaminants, and have no complaints. Recommended.

I’ve been using Brita products for many years and have always been a happy customer. These filters are an update to the old design. They filter water really well and are super easy to use. They are advertised to fit all Brita pitchers. Although I cannot comment on this as I now have a new style pitcher. They fit right in and stay put until they need replacement. They’re rated up to 40 gallons, but that is relative to where you live and that water you have. I usually replace mine every three months with two people using the water pitcher. It’s recommended that the filter is rinsed under running cool water for 15 seconds before installing it in the pitcher. I then discard the first two filtered batches before using it. I’d recommend rinsing the pitcher and wiping it on the inside during the filter replacement since microscopic sediment settles overtime. I got the 3-pack here through Amazon and it usually averages around five bucks per filter unless there’s a sale or a coupon available. I would recommend buying these directly through Amazon as some third-party sellers do sell fakes. Trust me, I’ve run into this with these filters and shaving razors. Generally if these are purchased through a trusted seller or a brick and mortar store, then it’s the real thing. I’m very happy with these filters. The filtered is clear, clean and tastes great!

The quality of water that comes out of these filters is fantastic, but they clog within a couple weeks for me. I live in New York City, which is known for having darn fine tap-water, so it's not like I'm shoving lake sludge through these filters. Fortunately, Brita has been generous enough to replace the filters as they know there is a problem with them, but the solution to that problem has been delayed repeatedly. Bummer! EDIT: Brita eventually stopped replacing their faulty Longlife filters so I'm downgrading the review to 1 star. The filters are too expensive to replace every 2 weeks, especially since they ought to last 6 months. I hope Brita gets their act together with these. SECOND EDIT: Brita finally fixed the filters and sent me a pair of the new version free of charge. The filter I installed has worked perfectly for over a month now. THIRD EDIT (April 5, 2019): six months later, the new version of the Longlast filter continues to filter at a good clip. It is slightly slower than when it was new, now about 15 minutes per liter.

So, Brita filters are great. I was testing these baby’s out the other day. Unfortunately, I sometimes hate how slow the water comes out and all, especially on a hot day. Sometimes you just want cool refreshing cold water. So, filled some containers this summer, with filtered brita water, right? I put them in the refrigerator. Friends came over on the weekend. They all drank water from these fancy glass containers I have. They were all like, dang, where you get your fancy water from? I was like, its Brita baby! They were all flabbergasted. I think Britas got some new customers.

These fit perfectly in our Brita filter (as claimed). As far as I can tell, they're filtering the water perfectly. I haven't run any scientific studies on it though... One thing I can say is that with our previous filters, we had to "soak" the filter in water for awhile before use. These ones did not come with that instruction. Which was a welcome improvement! No more soaking! I got these things out of the box and filtering within seconds. Now that's the kind of instant gratification you would expect of your water filter. Also, this might just be subjective...but I feel like they filter faster than previous Brita filters.

I love these filters. I drink over a gallon a day and buying water bottles was getting a bit expensive and annoying (having to buy 2 cases a week and then running out without knowing). These are the 2nd set I buy. The first set of 3 lasted me about 4 months. So I would say a month per filter which in my case is great considering I was spending over $20 in water bottles each month. It is very convenient and inexpensive. And I can have cold water everyday without having to remember to put more water bottles in the fridge after I take one.

I bought 2 longlast filters at the end of Oct. 2018 and replaced one after 4 months. My husband and I drink at least 80 ounces from the container every day, so I guess the filter lasted a long time. I don't have the container with the digital indicator so thought the filter would last until May 2019, but one day it just stopped filtering water through so I knew it was done. :) Plus, I had begun noticing that the water didn't taste as good. Thought it was my imagination, but no, it wasn't. The filter make a a BIG difference in the taste of the water. I have no complaints. One thing to note, however...when you put the filter in the container you MUST get the filter good and wet and really push it down into the hole and maybe even hold it there as you fill the pitcher. Otherwise it comes loose and pops up and you have to filter the whole container of water again. Not a big deal, just something to keep in mind.

Bought a new Brita for someone in our household who's convinced tap water is officially the worst thing ever, even if where I live is *renowned* for its tap water ---- so, needless to say, I wanted to make sure I wasn't spending crazy amounts on the filters when I was happy with my tap water to begin with. I hadn't comparison shopped them before, beyond what was available on Amazon, but felt like the 3 pack was a decent price online... so went for it. Let's just say I went to the supermarket recently and saw how much a pack of three replacement filters were there.... and got total sticker shock! Needless to say, I'll continue to buy my replacement filters on Amazon. (As for the quality of the filters: they're official Brita, and Brita really does make a difference -- especially if you don't live in a location with tap water as good as mine. But if you have good tap water, then I really don't think it's necessary -- but your mileage will vary!)

Very easy to install/insert. Filtering process is not fast, as it is filtering your water from contaminants. It is NOT going to be fast, as some of the 1 and 2 star users have complained. It is doing it's job - making clear, clean, tasty water by filtering, but it does not take long (less than 4 minutes to fill a pitcherful). Have purchased this 3 pack four times (each filter lasts around 90 days). Very inexpensive for the job that they perform - and these are the OEM Brita filters, so the fit and finish is perfect. Going to buy another 3 pack as soon as I finish this review (had to comment on the 1 and 2 star users that just don't get it).

I used to buy my Brita replacement filters at Costco, however, I discovered that Amazon Subscribe & Save was a better option for me in terms of convenience and price. I really like the newly designed sleek tops of the filters that make it *much* easier to insert and to remove them from the pitcher. You simply hold onto the top, which acts as a handle, and place them into the pitcher. Similarly, you just hold onto the "handle" when you need to remove the filters. Previously, I would struggle to place the filters in and I needed to tip the pitcher sideways in order to replace the filters. I also think that these new filters work better than the previous filters. I've found that I have a lot less black particles in the compartment where the filter is located in the pitcher. It also no longer "pops out" when I tip the pitcher to pour out the last drops of water, which had been an issue with the previous filter model. In addition, the water seems to taste cleaner : ) The two filters arrived packaged in a small brown box labeled 'Replacement Filters.' I was surprised that they weren't sent in the usual Brita branded packaging, however, upon opening the package I realized that this was a more efficient way to receive the product. I can also store the smaller box more easily in the kitchen drawers.
