The remote came yesterday and it worked as advertised. It learned the codes from my existing TV remote and was plenty powerful enough to work from across a sizable room. It came with the two AAA batteries it runs on. I hope they will last a year or so. I use this one in the bedroom at night so it would be handy if it has some kind of button illumination but it doesn't. I just had to keep the order of the buttons straight and go by touch. Power is at the top so that is easy to use by touch but the input button is third from the bottom so that was only slightly harder to keep straight. I could have used the "B" button for the input button since its at the bottom and I did not assign it a function yet. Its hard plastic so I miss the rubbery grip of my old case but not a big loss. The remote feels wide in the my hand now but no problems reaching the buttons on the far left side or any buttons/touch pad on the apple remote. The remote sits snugly in the device, which is nice. I am happy enough with it that I bought another one for my Family room ATV. This is definitely not a required product but for me I love not having to deal with two remotes anymore and for $30 it doesn't break the bank.

Mee Maw Loves it!

I was so mad when I bought this because I thought I was buying a new remote.( I did not say I was smart.) But I ended up easily resetting my apple remote and started using this as intended. I LOVE IT. Now we do not loose the remote because it is not so easily drown between small cracks and objects. Plus I can now adjust the volume and turn the TV on and off from the same remote. This old lady is SUPER Happy. If you are tired of looking for that skinny apple remote or tired of having to find a second remote to change the volume,life just got super easy.

BEST PURCHASE OF 2018

I purchased this January of 2018. I can say with 99% certainty this is going to be the best thing I buy this year. Setup - EASY Functionality - AMAZING Works just as advertised. Better even. They undersold it. I have the Apple TV 4th Generation with Siri remote. Holds the remote well, doesn’t obstruct the lightning charging port. Makes it harder to lose! This thing, within 2 days, I could not ever live without again. If I were homeless, I’d still want my Sideclick (which, by the way, is marketing gold and whomever dubbed that name deserves a capitalism Medal of Honor or something). Add in the fact that my Apple TV remote has Siri, with HomeKit integration. I have a remote that controls all my media electronics AND with Siri can turn my lights on/off amongst other things. I’m living in the future and boy let me tell you, the future is bright as **** thanks to Sideclick. BUY THIS THING

Best universal remote, and possibly electronic device, ever!

This might be the best device that I’ve ever purchased, how can’t every other universal remote be this simple. 8 buttons that you can individually program to as many different remotes as you like. And it couldn’t be more simple, once you figure it out, each button takes literally 5 seconds to program. I went from 3 remotes to control the Antenna channels/input source & receiver volume to just this with my AppleTV remote, a Godsend! And I like that it makes the Apple remote a little more natural to handle and less likely to lose. Now to buy 2 more for my FireStick and FireTV!

Life-changer

Life-changing for me and my roommates. We used to have 3 remotes, one for the apple TV, one for the actual TV, and one for the soundbar. Constantly keeping track of all 3 remotes was very annoying. This universal remote is easy to program and has enough buttons for all of our daily TV functions. Only negative thing I have to say is after it fell to the ground (after many other falls) it broke and there was no way to repair it. But I liked it so much I just bought another one! The size seems strange at first (remotes aren't usually wide like this) but you get used to it quickly.

Great solution for too many remotes

This is great. My tv setup requires 3 remotes- stereo receiver, tv and Apple TV. Too many considering two of the remotes are primarily used only for minimal function- on/off and volume. Wanted a universal remote, but don’t want to lose voice and touch capabilities of Apple TV remote. The sideclick has been a great solution. Easy to program and easy to use. Only issue I found is the power button on the sideclick could not be programmed to turn vizio tv on. However the power button works fine with my receiver and the vizio power was programmed to a different button on remote. Weird glitch but not a big deal. Side benefit: makes the Apple remote a little larger and harder to lose in the cushions.

Super simple setup, and fantastic to use.

Sideclick is a godsend! Not only does it add a little size to my AppleTV remote so my kids don’t lose it in the couch cushions, it’s also amazingly simple to program and use. I love that you can program each button to a single button on many different remotes. I have the following. 1. Receiver Power on/off 2. Receiver Volume Up 3. Receiver Volume Down 4. Receiver Media Source (AppleTV HDMI output) 5. Receiver Game Source (Gaming Console) 6. Receiver Sound Source (Dolby, Stereo, etc) 7. TV Power on/off I love only needing one remote instead of three. It’s so simple to program and it works like a champ!

Nice and handy!

The Sideclick remote does a good job filling in for the Apple TV Siri Remote which lacks a simple option like a mute button to work along side the included volume buttons. Being able to program any of the Sideclick’s buttons to do whatever you’d like and not necessarily what is printed on the button is rather convenient. Right out of the box it was easy to install the Apple TV remote and program the buttons. Having something to make the Apple TV remote larger isn’t a bad thing since it’s small enough to be quickly devoured by your favorite chair or couch cushion only to never be found again. Worth while purchase!

Super easy to set up 👍🏻

I desperately needed this. Sometimes my Apple TV remote wouldn’t turn on the actual TV and then I would have to look for the TV remote just to power it on. I got this remote to solve that issue and it works great. Setup was super easy and now I can control the TV without keeping a second remote around. It also is super handy since I have a game console on the same TV and I can easily switch inputs and adjust the volume without looking for that second remote or even turning on the Apple TV. Highly recommend and will probably buy a few more for the other TVs.

Perfect fit, and comes with both size remote adapters. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to dig through the side of my chair looking for the lost AppleTv remote. The Sideclick solves two problems. I only need one remote, and the added girth makes it harder to lose. The price is high, but hopefully it will come down over time.
