Better than a a west strap... safe and secure

Loved this strap! It was perfect length and very secure for both land and water. When in the water I attached a clip to it and clipped to my suit so if it came off, which it never did, it would still be attached to me. Loved how could I lip camera separately without taking off... cake in handy when scuba diving so could just hand off my camera to someone else!

Worked great

Worked great. I used it with our Rox camera on a recent cruise. My daughter and I had a ton of fun jumping in the pool and snorkling in St. Thomas, and the strap kept the camera safe and secure around our necks quite well. It has a quick-release clip that allows you to take off the camera quickly, and the clip is very secure. I felt that it would not easily/accidentally release at all. The strap material is thick and comfortable, and the metal mounting U-bracket and screw stayed very secure. I was more afraid we would break the camera's case than the strap.

Best lanyard for action cameras

I hate all those strap thingies people use for action cameras. I'm more used to the hand straps or lanyards of Cannon and Nikon DSLRs so this was perfect for me. I had it on my bag and a bottle of silicone glue exploded, oozing glue all over the metal parts of this lanyard. Fortunately cleanup was a breeze using some pure acetone to wipe it clean, I'm sure the plastic locks on the straps wouldn't have fared so well against pure acetone.

Works well for me

I like the lanyard style around my neck when snorkeling. Keeps camera available to hand. I recommend you keep some twist ties available to secure the barrel pin to the hasp to keep the pin firmly seated and screwed in tight. Mine had a tendency to work loose over time. A touch of WD40 on the threads every once in a while is also a good idea.

Perfect way to always be ready to get the shot!

This is a great way to have a Gopro "at the ready" when you are hiking or at an event where you want to be ready to grab video quickly. This is a very simple but effective system. Quality metal shackle to hang the camera from, quick disconnect so you can set the camera down on a table if you need to. If you want to walk with this and shoot video while it's hanging it's not going to give you the best quality- you will get a lot of noise from the camera rubbing against your shirt or jacket. Works excellent if you fire up the gopro and just hold it in your hand as you walk.

Great inexpensive lanyard for GoPros!

Great inexpensive neck lanyard for my new GoPro Hero 6 Black! I love the attachment to the GoPro skeleton case, it's a simple hook and screw pin; which holds it very securely, but is extremely easy to take off. The detachable end also makes this lanyard very easy to access, which is necessary when carrying a camera around your neck.

Much more useful than I thought it would be

I took this to sixflags yesterday, and it was perfect. Originally I thought it wouldn't be of much use, but I was very delighted. I wasn't planning on recording the rides at six flags, so I didn't bring any body mounts or anything to hold it other than this. It made it fast and easy to record, if I needed to record right then and there it was much easier than storing it in a bag or a pocket, where I would have to search for it. It was on me at all times, other than the big rides where I left it in my bag. I did end up recording on some smaller rides and coasters, and it made me feel better having it attached to something. I wouldn't recommend it for recording on rides, but if it's all you have it works great, and it's better than nothing. It's easy and fast and a good way not to lose it. It screws on very secure. This is a go pro MUST!

Quality and nice to keep GP at hand

Sturdy strap with quick disconnect. Long, which I like, but easily adjustable with a quick slip knot tied behind the neck. Metal swivel clip is nice with and large enough to easily unclip it from the strap as desired. Used this on and off for a week vacation in the TN mountains, hiking, etc. and was nice to have the GP so easily at hand.

This is my go to “case” now. It’s convenient and reliable. I’ve worn it in in the ocean and on roller coasters and so far it’s been great.

Great for GoPro

I bought this to use with my GoPro while on a cruise. I loved it. It was so handy because it freed up my hands when I wasn't using it but was right there when I wanted to use it. For times like wading around in the ocean, it was perfect!
