Versatile and quick cleanup

My husband loves this medium size blower. He has a large, more powerful electric blower for the whole driveway, but grabs this one more often for quick work of the deck, patio, front walk. Being battery operated, it has a little less oomph, but works so well when you don't need to get out the heavy model and 100' of extension cords.

Think of it as a broom and not a rake

Arrived slightly battered as Amazon had put the B&D box into a too large Amazon box with almost no packing material, just a small scrap of brown paper. Luckily B&D had in in a well crafted box with padding that survived bouncing around inside the useless Amazon box. The sweeper was ridiculously easy to assemble and charge. It is very lightweight, fairly quiet, and easy to use. I got it to clear daily debris from my sidewalk and driveway. In this role it excels. It is clearly NOT a leaf blower, but an excellent sweeper. Think of it as a broom and not a rake. If what you want is a light, easy to use way to clean you hard surfaces, then this is perfect. It is not designed as a heavy duty leaf blower and you will find it severely under powered if you try to use it for moving leaves off of the grass in the autumn. I use mine daily to clear the porch and sidewalk; for that it is exactly what I need. I would recommend this sweeper without hesitation to my friends and family.

Perfect for light duty

This does a great job getting the leaves and acorns off our ~500 square foot pool deck. I'm very much against gas powered lawn equipment, as the two-stroke engines are noisy and account for a disproportionate amount of harmful emissions, so I'm happy that electrics are finally becoming powerful enough to handle most jobs around our house. As others have said, this isn't the *strongest* blower you'll ever use, but unless you wait until the leaves are 2 inches deep and wet from rain, this blower will work fine. Would only recommend for flat surfaces, not blowing leaves out of grass. Battery life is good enough that I can do both decks, the roof, then switch the battery into my Black & Decker weed whacker to do the trimming. Much less weight and fatigue than with a gas model, too

Love this blower

Very Lightweight, Runs a long time on a full battery. Strong enough for most things like blowing out the garage, blowing grass clippings etc' Perfect for someone who does not want to mess with gas units or an electric cord. Well worth the money. I would buy another one fin a flash if needed. If you ar buying and expect it to be exactly like your old gas unit, it not going to be, but for the size and ease of use it is wonderful.

Perfect for keeping area around outside doors clear of leaves

Live under a LOT of oak trees...we were constantly tracking them in. Have a plug-in blower, but a pain in the A to keep setting it up....NOW? with THIS blower, can clear three doorsteps in less than five minutes...Wish I had purchased it years ago

I love this leaf blower for being small & lightweight it is very powerful and you will not go wrong with buying this item .l have LUPUS and have pain in my hands and this product is great for anyone who has trouble with their hands.

First things first: This is NOT a leaf blower. It's a lower-powered sweeper. I use it to clear leaves from sidewalks, driveway, and deck. THEN I get out the rake or leaf blower. Battery life is pretty good, perhaps a half-hour (more if you don't run it continually), and charging doesn't take long - less than an hour. Mine came with a extra battery & charger, which made things easier. If you have other B&D products, such as the weed whacker or the hedge trimmer (which is awesome!), you can swap batteries among them. The latest generation of batteries is much, much improved over the old Ni-Cad style. I'd recommend this product, especially if you're not into lugging a heavier electric (or worse, big & heavy gas) leaf blower for the smaller jobs.

Light as a feather. Charge the battery before you use it. Does exactly what it says. Blew out my three car garage and patio and still had a strong battery. This light blower/sweeper is so handy without plugging in my big blowers. Very useful and effortlessly blew leaves and small twigs out of my garage. Big value with a three year warranty. Buy with no hesitation. 100% satisfied. Arrived a day early, too. A winning product and worth the money. UPDATED Sept 2, 2018 Disregard the negative reviews. It works just fine and charges quickly. Though not a 200 mph blower, it does do the job and does it well. Have multiple patios and I cleaned and blew leaves and dirt with very little effort. I still highly recommend and still worth the price. Battery is the most expensive part and can be used on other Black and Decker cordless tools. Still give it a solid five stars!!!

Little Leaf Blaster

After getting input from a friend on his black and decker40v sweeper, he's had for several year i bought one. Where it gets my 5 stars is it light, easy to charge with included charger and no cord to pull around. Its not as powerful as my big corded leaf blower, but its convenient and quick to clear a patio or front sidewalk and steps and vey quiet. No need for ear protectors. It compliments my other high powered blowers. The fully charged battery lasts me around 30-40 minutes.
