Just need sun to charge
This thing is so compact and perfect for travel. Be great to keep in a car or for camping. We bought the solar only model. It blows up kinda like a beach ball would.

DESIGN
One of the coolest inventions to make camping easier. Low upkeep (no need for batteries). There are other options for this type of lantern for sure but there are a couple of reasons why I like this particular lantern. First, is the design consideration for when you are not using the lantern (deflated), other lanterns pack up in a very clunky manner, this one however is a simple twist and everything is protected for longer products lifespan. The second thing, for me personally, is that it is very cool that the company participates in humanitarian efforts called the "give light program" and at least for me, is a nice notion that I would like to support.

Lightweight and hold charge
Purchased this for a backpacking trip. Low weight was perfect and was able to secure at the top of my pack, so it can recharge as we hiked. It produces a lot of light, and when tried at home, kept the charge for 2 days. Liked it so much, we gave as gifts to fellow campers.

Pleased thus far.
This is a great light. Solar charged, collapsable, light weight, water resistant, LIGHT! There isnt a huge difference btween low setting and high but low setting is plenty of light to fill an average living room. Dont expect stadium lights lumens but its better than batteries dying and being in the dark!

Obsessed
This product is fabulous. Super lightweight, can hang off your pack, sit on your dash, stuff in your pack, and will be ready to rock when the sun goes down! This is my third one(ex took the other two) and I will be buying another! They provide great light in or outside your tent, there are a few brightness options and a flashing option. Charges fairly quickly and inflates with pretty much one breath!

This thing is awesome
I found this using the Gift Finder when I was struggling to find cool Christmas gifts for my husband. He loves it and has never seen anything like it. He has already used it around the house but he's also excited to take it on an upcoming hunting trip since it's so lightweight and small yet produces a good amount of light. It will be easy to attach to his pack and carry around with almost no added weight. Everyone that I have shown this to thinks it's the coolest thing. I am definitely going to buy more of these for gifts in the future!

Great for backpacking!
Love these little lights! We intend to use them backpacking in our hammocks. We've done a gear check. Charged them up outside and they ran all night! They'll hang on the outside of our packs while hiking and be charged up for campsite use by evening. They'll hang nicely on a ridgeline in a hammock for reading or off a tree branch to light up the cooking area a little more evenly than a head lamp. No fuss lighting. Lightweight, too.

Great Solar Lantern
This is a fantastic product! Purchased this for my son for Scout camp and for the World Jamboree. We tried it out this past weekend. This is a pretty phenomenal little lantern. It is super light-weight and collapses down to almost nothing. It also puts out plenty of light to read by in a tent at night. The solar charger is great as well, and works pretty great. Although, it does take a while to bring up to a full charge when you first get it. I chose this particular lantern over other similar designs because this one seemed better designed and was specifically designed for rougher treatment since it was designed for use in disasters.

Great for emergency or camping
I gave it five stars for several reasons. First the light charged very quickly in the Texas sun and so far it has lasted for 14 hours of continuous light on low setting. This is longer than I will ever use it camping. Second, the battery indicator is great and it tells you where you are in the charging session. Lastly, the light on/off switch works great and cycles through the bright settings effortlessly. The only complaint i would have is the air valve is a bit difficult to open and close. This may improve the more i use it.
