Sturdy, quality flag pole bracket

Bought this near-exact replacement for another Anley flag holder, which we've had for at least ten years, and probably more. We forgot to bring our flag in before an overnight storm where wind gusts were over 60 mph. No fault of the flag holder, it snapped off right at the flat part at the base of the holder, where the tightening nut goes through. So we bought this one. The screws are at least 1/16" larger diameter, and about 1/4" longer than the old holder, which is good--one of the older, thinner screws rusted and despite taking care with it when removing, the head snapped off and I wound up having to drill it out. Don't think that will happen with these screws. Another nice feature is the plastic knob to tighten the screw holding the flag in the barrel. The old one had a small wing nut there, and this is much easier to use when removing or inserting the flag.

Flag Holder

I live in a high wind area. It is important that my flag holder be strong enough to withstand the heavy winds. I installed this about two weeks ago. We had heavy winds a couple of days ago. My daughter said my flag was on the ground so she put it in the garage. Today I went to put it back up. Guess what The bracket was broke straight across at the wing nut. Revised: Anley is sending me a replacement after I sent them a picture of the break.

Good Quality

This is a very solid product. The only complaint I have is the screws that were included. They seemed like they were sturdy, but they stripped very easily. I just replaced them with typical exterior screws and it fixed the problem.

Instead of me having a indoor flag pole base, I purchased these and attached them to the baseboard in the passage. It keeps the flags from being brushed by and stands being knocked and kicked by accident. These mounting brackets allow for the pole to be upright and tight against the indoor. wall

The right bracket for multiple uses

Sturdy enough to hold a large (3x5) flag in a brisk west, southwest wind. However, only wood screws were included and this was to be mounted on a brick house. Therefore, longer masonry screws were needed, along with a good power drill. Nevertheless, this mounting bracket is perfect to position flags beneath a gutter overhang or to lower it in honor of Veteran's Day or any other "half-staff" occasion. I'm very pleased with the purchase and can recommend it to anyone wishing to firmly secure a flag.

Very nice, very sturdy flagpole holder. Completely adjustable - large screws (hollow wall anchors included if needed). Good product.

Great item and heavy weight.

Item arrived quickly and easy to install. I've been using it for over 2 months with no issues and I've had some high wind days, without issue. Easy to change out flags and easy to adjust the height. Item is heavy weight and looks like it will last a long time. Highly recommend.

I previously had a similar flag holder that was unfinished metal. It turned ugly after years of use. This flag holder has a very nice enamel finish that will last against a long time against outside elements. The use of knobs and wing-nuts will definitely make adjustments easier. Mounting on the outside was easy. My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to put a small drain hole in the base of the holder so that rain water can drain instead of building up.

Not great.

Metal with gripping screw or flag pole. Sturdy and stands up to winds. Good product. Disclaimer: It broke in the wind and is for the most part plastic. not worth the money - AT ALL.
