Cat proof!
I have 2 filtered fountains for my 3 cats and one of them loves to play the game "spill water all over the new floors"! We agreed that stepping in a lake of water as we wake up for work at 5am had to stop! We got these and they work perfectly! It doesnt stop her from splashing her paws in the water but there isnt water on my new floors so its perfect!

Would Buy It Again in a Heartbeat
This was an impulse purchase, courtesy of a lightning deal. Unlike many impulse purchases, this turned out to be a smart buy. We have wood laminate floors--not easily ruined by water, but it's hard to keep up with Ox and Bailey, the two beagle boys at our house. Ox drinks like a horse, water all over the place. I keep an old bath towel a couple feet away from the favorite water bowl in a little basket--a decorative, feeble effort to make up for having an old, beat up towel in plain view in my living room. To protect my floor, I had been using one of those little cotton-synthetic mats you can buy at the grocery store or drug store. Not terrible, but not great; every now and then I would find one of them soaked clean through and have to rotate another one in, once I had dried the floor with the towel. I expected, frankly, for this mat to come with a whole different set of problems. Maybe it would be too small, and water slop over the edge. (I could have gone down and measured the old one to compare, but the lightning deal only gave me 15 minutes, and for a product sold for under ten bucks, I probably would have taken the easy way out anyway.) I also wondered if Ox would yank this thing out from under the bowl, spilling a quart of water onto the wood floor, so that he could run off with it somewhere and chew it to shreds. (He considered it, and I had to be vigilant for a week or so, but now he has accepted its permanent role in his life as something that isn't a chew toy.) I am really pleased. Water doesn't spill over the edges; I dab up extra sloshed water from the top of it one or two times daily, but I rarely see the water leave the confines of the mat. I haven't washed it because I haven't needed to. It hasn't warped or been damaged, and we've had it over a month. With Ox the Oversized Beagle Pup in the house, this has got to be some kind of a record. The upshot? I would buy this product again in a heartbeat.

Great product
Easy to clean. Catches all the crumbs and mess my furball makes. Very satisfied with this product.

I have 3
Love these! I have one under my cat bowls, one at my parents for when my cat comes over, and one underneath my humidifier if it were to leak. Definitely more than one use for this! Soft flexible silicone doesn't let liquid through. Perfect neutral gray for anything.

Not just for pet food :)
I feel funny telling you this... This Hiki silicone pet food pad didn't fit the space I had for my cats food and water and not wanting to let it go to waste I found a really great use for it. I drink all through the night, soda, juice, water and dang if I can get my glass back without spilling it all over my glasstop nightstand. It is hard to clean juice from in between glass and wood, you have to take the glass out... now I don't have to :) and it wipes clean easily. I'm happy!

Nice doggy placemat
This floor placemat works great! It’s bigger than I expected after reading some reviews. It fits 2 large dog bowls and matches nicely to decor. It’s a pretty gray color and does have the logo name printed on it, but that hasn’t bothered me. It helps prevent the dogs water bowl from spilling all over our tile, & that’s what I needed.

Great water bowl mat
Great for my purposes for a dog with a serious drinking problem. The breed, Eurasier, is known oddly enough known for it. The mat is not intended to be picked up and drained into the sink. It is super flexible. So if water accumulates to a point that I want to get rid of it, I use a micro cloth to absorb it. If you picked it up a I would clearly go everywhere. So if you're looking for a firm, stiff mat, this would not work. There has been no leakage on the floor with it just in use. Mine is black and unobtrusive. I have a pretty good sized ceramic water dish plus my little dog's small food dish.

Great Mat!
This is the best pet placemat out there. I have six other placemats and after buying one of these, I am replacing them all with this mat. It is large enough to hold big bowls and has a lip around the edge to contain spills and splashes. Easy to wipe clean; doesn’t have to be put in the washer like fabric mats do. The material doesn’t slide no matter what you put it on. I have them on tile, hardwood and carpet. You cannot find a better mat; especially at this price!

Really nice ... especially for wooden floors
This mat works fairly well. It is pure silicone, so it sticks fairly well to the floor and your bowls also stick fairly well to the mat. That grip prevents spillage and mess. So the mat doesn't slide on the floor and the bowls don't slide on the mat when an especially hungry pooch dives right in. And the slight lip holds food and water on the mat so that it doesn't get on the floor. That's especially important for those who have wood floors in the kitchen. One small suggestion is to put the mat in the sunshine for a day or so before using it for the first time. The outgassing of the silicone is just a bit strong right at first. So I put mine out on the deck for a day just to get rid of that initial smell. After a few hours, the smell was gone and the mat was just fine.

Works great for sloppy drinkers in combination with a deep water bowl
We have a lab that is a very sloppy drinker. The other three dogs do not have issues but whenever the lab drinks, the water will drip from his mouth and get on the floor mat that the water bowl sits on and it would just stay there. It would have trouble evaporating because of the amount of liquid there. I didn’t want it to start to get moldy, so I purchased this silicone mat after reading other reviews. The silicone mat by itself did not fix the problem. I got a random idea one night that if the dog bowl was deeper, perhaps the water would stay in. I took one of my Pyrex bowls and used that as their dog bowl for a couple days and my theory worked. So I purchased the largest water bowl available and in combination with this mat, I no longer have issues with the water soaking the rug and sitting. The little amount of water that he still drips outside of the bowl is caught by this mat so I keep a hand towel near their food dispenser and I wipe up the water from time to time. So I definitely recommend this Matt, I think it prevents a moldy situation happening under the water bowl of a sloppy drinker.
