So far this has been very accurate. I have tried it 4 times at the same distance and then used my tape measure to double check the measurement, all came out exactly the same. That is better than my more expensive name brands and it measures greater distances.

this thing is dead on. I have hit almost 160' easily with this thing and it maybe only off by an 1" at that range. closer readings, its dead on. the red dot is huge and super easy to see in broad daylight actually. I have hit trees, curbs, signs, metal siding, and even office cubicles with out any problems yet. super easy to use and way better than the bosch the company uses and my old craftsman that struggled to hit anything within 100'. and its cheap too

I got this because I am going to be doing some floor covering replacement soon, and wanted a reliable way to measure rooms by myself. I've also taken it to work to measure office space when I am moved, so I can plan how the furniture will be set up. Love the range, the ability to switch between meters and feet, and auto calculation of square footage. The pets like the laser dot that is used for aiming. Very happy with this!

This so-called entry-level laser distance measuring device performs beyond my expectations. When I shopped around for this kind of tool, I was disappointed to note that many models did decimal measurements only, as in 12.3 feet. Indeed, from what I could tell by the description, this one was the same, but I decided to get it for its other features. Long story short, the TackLife 60M reports distances in six ways. You can do a measurement and then click through for the reporting style of our choice. For example: 26' 11 9/16" or 26.97" or 8.219m or 8.22m (rounded) or 323.6" or 323 9/16". Unlike some other models, the 60M remembers the reporting style you chose last, instead of defaulting to meters each time you turn it on. The 60M means that it will measure up to 60 meters. It includes a four-line display for showing the dimensions as you measure for area or volume. A memory button saves your entries. If you want a powerful, inexpensive, homeowner or semi-pro laser distance measurer, I highly recommend the TackLife 60M.

Very handy, will display fractions such as 1/8, 3/32, etc., which is so much easier for those of us that live in the USA. Yes, the metric system would be so much easier, but that isn't going to happen in my lifetime. This device will agree with the scale on your tape measure, table saw, etc, and make measuring and cutting much easier than converting from decimals, like some laser measures require. Battery life seems good so far, I'm still on the same set.

The Tacklife HD60 works like a charm and is perfectly accurate. It is an affordable tool that eliminates having to find a second person to hold the far end of the tape. All you need is something at the other end for the laser to get a reflective 'fix' on, and you're good to go. You can use either end of the Tacklife as the zero reference point, which makes it nice for all different applications. A very handy and useful addition to your toolbox.

This little device was a great purchase. Everything works as advertised and it's truly accurate to 1/16" over long distances! The automatic area feature is great and saves a ton of time. My biggest regret is not getting one of these sooner. The price can't be beat for the features and accuracy this packs at any local box store. The only con that I've found is that it's a bit tricky to change some modes. You have to turn it off, then back on again to switch certain things. Once you're aware of that, it's very simple to operate.

first laser measuring, been loving it. really good in terms of one-man measuring vs a tape. seems very accurate. the levels have been semi useful but they could be larger. i find myself getting my big one out normally. these small ones are hard to read from more than a few feet away.

This is a vital new tool in my tool box. I work in a warehouse and had to do some measuring and layouts for several systems upgrades. This made life easier than using a small tape measure to get the dimensions and layout of the warehouse floor. Was easy to use and would recommend to anyone that is looking to purchase a laser measuring device. I liked the nearly 200 ft distance, clear and easy to read display, and compact size.

A gift for my Engineer son, we immediately set about to determine the accuracy of this device, using a metal yardstick to gauge distance to a wall. The results were within 1/16 of an inch, and that was to textured wallboard. The texture varied that much! This thing is accurate. The zero baseline can be adjusted to coincide with the top OR bottom surface, allowing for inside and outside measurements. Displayed units can be changed from metric to the actually useful units of feet, inches, and fractions of inches. Their new puppy loved to chase the laser, so be careful around animals.
