Very nice quality melting dome

Very nice quality melting dome. I like that it is SS and not aluminum. Does exactly what it is suppose to do. Would not mind if it was an inch or 2 bigger in circumference to make it easier to cover say 4 hamburgers, but that doesn't detract from the quality. Would buy again.

The dome for your kitchen dreams

I didn't really think this would work but since it is so inexpensive, I thought I would give it a try. It works great! What a surprise! I started it with an omelet. After I flipped the omelet to make it a half round, I put this on top and WOW, it puffed up like crazy. Then I tried a hamburger. I really like a medium rare burger but when I try to melt cheese on it, the meat over cooks. This makes the melting fast work. Then, of course, I had to make a tuna melt. Yummm! Who woulda thunk it!

Here's why I like it so much

1) my wife thought is was (so cute). 2) I really like the size, as in not that big. I can melt cheese on my burger and not take up more space than I need. I like cheese and my wife doesn't so the size is perfect and gets the melting done pronto. 3) I can tell it has quality manufactured in it through and through. Summery of my thoughts of this product are: good looks with the engraved bellemain name, easy to handle due to proper sizing and the feel of something that isn't cheap. Bellemain Stainless Steel Cheese Melting Dome

I was tired of allowing my burgers, steaks or anything else to get over done so I picked this up. It is made of heavy stainless and feels quite durable. The handle does not get hot while cooking with it. It covers a large burger so the size is great. Allowing a burger to sit and wait for the cheese to melt often causes it to be overdone but with this, it takes less than 30 seconds to see it to perfection. I will be ordering at least two or three more of these. I've yet to try it on my grill but I'm sure it will work great. Clean up is very easy.

This thing is AWESOME!!!

I have a small little cantina inside of a resort next to a pool, so its cooking at a fast pace in a super small space(as shown in the pictures) everything is so easy to execute and this works like A CHARM for melting cheese on burgers fast & evenly or making grilled cheese sandwiches or just keeping food nice and warm. If you have a food truck or a small restaurant, you will love this! I can safely fit 2 8oz burgers under the dome.

Works fine

It works! I used it on a non-stick aluminum bottom pan on stove and did speed up cooking chicken. The only thing is the edges got 'stained' quickly so don't know how good the quality of the SS is, but washed off for the most part. It might be because on an outdoor grill the grease wouldn't pool around the edges like on a pan, so I still gave it 5 stars. It has a nice weight to it, just right. I always use a little mini holder for the handle but honestly it shouldn't be a show stopper regardless if a handle gets hot. The end result is what counts - sped up cooking time and meat was tender. I doubt I'll be using it to melt cheese on anything, that's not why I bought it and not qualified to comment for that use. Plan on giving one to my brother who BBQs all summer using outdoor grill since he does cheese burgers, etc. I think it a niffy, inexpensive gift to give people who BBQ or grill on stovetop! PS-got a large one (another brand) for grilling steaks and love it too.

Very Well Built!

Even though this dome is a little on the small side at an overall diameter of 8.75” (see pic), it is very well built and worth the price. I would not hesitate to buy one again and still can’t figure out why they don’t make a 12” and 15” model. If they did, Bellemain would own the market on melting domes!!!

Dome Dome on the Range........

I love this Dome. Not only does it melt cheese on sandwiches and warm up sandwiches better on the griddle, it fits like a lid on my small stainless frying pan. By allowing the steam in the moisture to come off when I'm cooking and mix thoroughly Under the Dome, the flavors are magnificent.! Is stainless steel an excellent quality. It also has a good solid weight to the stainless and should last indefinitely! Delivered promptly properly packaged.

I wished & Planned = now have wonderful pair to make my meals more enjoyable -- 77 yr old widow.

Received today ... beautiful & everything I expected. I wanted something to help keep my food warm as I take a while to eat. No problem , Just do not want to rush but HATE having cold food. This dome will be used for that combined with: the mug warmer-- 8" plate with smooth bottom @ dome. Wow, how often do you actually get what you plan. Also will be real handy while cooking -- Much better than my SS small lid. At least prettier!
