Never used a multimeter before, but wanted to tackle an espresso machine that was giving me trouble. The Neoteck seemed to have everything I was looking for, and I liked the feature of the extra alligator clip probes at an amazingly low price. While awaiting its arrival, I learned how to do what I wanted to thanks to YouTube videos. It arrived one day early and worked perfectly right out of the box. Ran continuity and resistance tests on a solenoid valve and switch and diagnosed a failed coil! Thanks Neoteck for providing such a sophisticated tool at such a reasonable price! Now, I’m almost looking forward to the next project!

All functions work as intended. Included battery could be better though (I'd recommend using an ALKALINE 9v battery from energizer or duracell for the absolutely maximum battery life.) The battery included is most likely an old style zinc chloride chemistry which is very weak especially in 9v form. since it says "Heavy duty" on it You could also use a rechargeable 9v NIMH rated 8.4v (which has resting voltage about 9.4 to 9.5v) which would last a good long time as well. only thing I could wish for is to be able to measure hz range around in 60hz so I can measure modified sinewave inverter frequency to calibrate it

This meter works so much better than the little $4 dollar one I had used previously. One of the reasons I bought it was because it came with alligator clips (I didn't want to buy $5-$10 clips for my $4 meter, so I figured I would just upgrade a bit and kill two birds with one stone). The clips were perfect for what I needed (they were a bit bigger than I expected, though--I doubt they would work well for smaller projects), the meter worked very well, and the auto-ranging feature was really nice. I used it for resistances and voltages in many ranges, no issues. And, a pleasant surprise, the battery that came with it actually had a decent amount of juice! Wunderbar!

It seems I'm too frequently looking for my trusty CircuitMate DM25, a Beckman Instruments multimeter that I've had for more years than I can recall. Most recently I had left it with my son-in-law when I really needed it. So I decided it was time to buy another meter so I'd have a better chance of having one handy when needed. After a little scanning of the options available at Amazon, I decided to order this Neotech model. My primary uses are AC, DC, resistance and an audible continuity function as most of my tinkering is no longer at the circuit board level where I might want capacitance measurement capability, and this meter seemed to do everything I needed and looked like a good choice even though the latter is an extra function I'd probably not use. Upon receipt, a quick check determined that the audible capability wasn't working. Since I frequently have a need to trace and identify wiring, this function is extremely handy, especially in low light and awkward locations where viewing the meter while testing is inconvenient. I contacted the supplier, and a new meter was in the mail that day. I received it a couple of days later, and the replacement works as advertised. You can't ask for better customer service than that! I really like the fact that it comes with two sets of leads... having a set with alligator clips can be really handy where there's enough room to use them as they essentially provide another set of hands. The auto-ranging capability is nice, although all it really does is minimize the number of switch positions needed since you generally know the order of magnitude of whatever you're measuring. The lighted display is a really welcome feature... I'm not sure LEDs even existed back when I purchased my other meter! Not having to break out a flashlight in tight spaces is definitely nice. Even with minimal light, the display is large enough to see at a distance. And the little fold-out stand on the back is another truly handy feature. The texture of the body and the shape of the meter also make it easy to hold. It's a little thicker than other meters, but for me the size is ideal as the minimal controls are easy to manipulate. Comparing the voltage reading capability with my Beckman, it seems to be as accurate. The only minor con is that the response time of this meter is a tad slower, especially when measuring smaller values of voltage and resistance. It often takes a few seconds to settle on a steady state reading where the Beckman was virtually instantaneous. But for me this really isn't a problem. For my purposes, this is a really nice meter for just $20 and hopefully it will hold up well. And with the responsiveness of the supplier, I'm confident they'll address any problem that may arise during the course of their 18 month warranty period.

I love this little meter. I'm always a bit skeptical when buying brands i haven't heard of (translation: probably a Chinese clone... No offense, China!), but this meter quickly became my absolute favorite. The fact that it includes the alligator clip leads in addition to the standard probes is amazingly useful, and the auto-ranging works quickly and very well to eliminate any "guesswork" for a beginner/learner like me when compared to the cheaper manual ranging units. One tiny complaint I have is that the "hold" button is a little sensitive and it sometimes (relatively rarely, though) double-presses, but this is really the only "problem" I could even come up with. Again I absolutely love this unit and my dad already wants one for himself. Wouldn't hesitate whatsoever to recommend this unit. (I PAID FULL PRICE FOR THIS UNIT AND WAS NOT ASKED/INFLUENCED IN ANY WAY TO WRITE THIS REVIEW!) :D figured that was worth clarifying...

Great meter. Comes with battery and banana clips that open wide enough for most applications. Used it to test alternator voltage on my boat engines.

I've only used this multimeter once, but so far so good. The price was, I felt, reasonable and the device is easy to use. You honestly don't need to know much about electronics or electricity to operate this; of course besides not to let black and red touch and that red is positive and black is negative. I used this to test my power supply unit for a 3D printer, to verify the power cable was hooked up correctly and getting juice. I used the clips, placed them on the corresponding wires, flipped the dial over to voltage reading, and got a reading. Problem solved in seconds. It was a faulty power supply unit.

This multimeter works like any other multimeter but its just plain simple to operate. No complex interpretation needed, the LED display tells you exactly what units your dealing with and the measurement. The selector for the range and function also is very straightforward...no translation of trying to figure out what color or symbol blah blah blah corresponds to what. For someone who just needs basic voltage and amperage measurements, this does the trick and the "clip" cables are what sold it for me. Alot of the multimeters only give you the metal probes, but this one also includes the cables with alligator clip ends. This is really great so you don't have to try to hold one probe against something and have it sliding around while you get the probe on the other electrical ending you want to measure against. Nice big readout as well. Highly recommend...

I’ve had it a few days now and am using it for my Raspberry Pi build projects. It’s working great. The last time I bought a multimeter was over thirty-five years ago and I’d hate to think what I’d have to pay for one, back then, with this functionality and ease of use.

Although I’m a novice in electrical component repairs. I started off with a Simpson meter back in the 60’s which was quite expensive then. This unit does a lot more and very reasonable cost. I’ve used this new unit a few times and love the auto ranging. Built in stand is nice when your reading multiple components. I need to use it for a loner period of time and if my opinion changes will update then. Hopefully it will continue to meet my needs and expectations. PS the extra alligator clips are heavy duty and a welcomed feature at no additional cost. UPDATE July 2018: I've used this meter for AC, DC, resisters, diodes but when I tried using it on some capacitors I couldn't get a reading. Since I loved this meter I contacted the seller asked what they could do to fix the problem and they promptly sent me a replacement with in a couple of days. I tested the new meter and it worked great with correct capacitor readings. They are definitely a service oriented company.
