Excellent quality, helpful staff, wonderful product!

We purchased this chalkboard for our booth at the farmers market and the look is just perfect. We wanted a more refined look, less rustic more urban, and it was exactly what we pictured. The wood stain is a great neutral color, and overall it's a good size. The chalk markers glide smoothly and cover evenly. It stays put until you wipe it with a wet cloth and then it comes off easliy and cleanly. We haven't used the stencils or the clips yet, but the stencils are thick and sturdy and the clips look great. We were mostly after the chalkboard and markers, so the other accessories were a nice bonus. Also we had a slight hiccup in the transaction -- Amazon had sent the "delivered" email when it had not yet arrived; upon contacting HBCY, Nick was incredibly helpful and prompt to resolve the issue. Although it arrived a few hours later (still not sure why we received the email from Amazon), we were very pleased with such great service.

Excellent Chalkboard Sign

I am a chalkboard artist and one of my clients, a chef, requested that I put her logo on an A-Frame chalkboard sign to display at farmers markets and with her outdoor mobile kitchen since other lightweight signs were blowing away in the wind. This is the first A-frame I have worked on and it is very well constructed and very attractive... and heavy enough not to blow away in the wind! My client requested the one with the Torched appearance which is very nice. The chalkboard surface is very smooth and was a pleasure to work on and easy to clean. I highly recommend this product and will definitely purchase another if the need shall arise.

Good product for good price

I bought this for a historical society. It is a good size and has a nice rustic look to it. Wipes clean easily - even after leaving the chalk markers writing on it for over a week. I will probably get another one. It is not a real chalk board, so you would have to be careful getting it wet. But I don't know if anyone sells "real" chalk boards. Overall I think it is great

FABULOUS CHALKBOARD!

I am using this chalkboard for craft fairs and farmers markets. it came securely packaged and arrived on time and in great condition. It looks beautiful finished and the wet chalk that I ordered to use on looks fabulous! I also love that it is magnetic...the flowers and embroidery thread that I added really give it an interesting dimension. I'm ordering another one to use at church. It's first class and I highly recommend it!

So far so good

Chalk board arrived on time and in perfect condition. I haven't transported it to any venues yet but I have written on it with chalk markers and that works great. I also erased with a damp cloth and it camp off with no shadows left behind. It seems very well made and sturdy. I think it will work well when I have events where I set up tables of display for my health coach and cooking classes. I don't have a picture of my "art" work yet because I found I need stencils because I am not artistic at all!! lol

LOVE!!!

Seriously love this chalkboard. I used it for my first farmers market table and got lots of compliments. It's sturdy but light enough to transport easily. Love the markers that it came with, the colors are nice and vibrant and they are easy to work with. I even used them on some small chalk signs I got at Target which worked great. Magnet clips and stencils nice to have too! Will definitely continue buying the markers and any more chalkboards from them if I need any in the future!

Great product. Very well made. We are using it in our store and have gotten many compliments on it! FYI- it's vinyl chalkboard, which I LOVE because I can use the chalkboard markers. Some people may not like the chalkboard vinyl but I prefer it.

Incredible, Gorgeous, Love It!!!

So not only is this a-frame chalkboard beautiful, the customer service with this company is phenomenal. I ordered the a-frame, liquid chalk pens, and restaurant stencils all from HBCY Creations. The next day I received an email from the company (not amazon) saying they received my order and if there were any problems at all to reach out. My packages arrived right on time and I opened them up. The chalkboard a-frame is so incredibly well made and just gorgeous. Down to the oiled bronze small HBCY metal plate on the front and matching metal chains between both sides. Very high quality product and STURDY. I flipped the board over and it had what looked like a metallic mark on the chalkboard - like something had rubbed against it in transit. It was close to the side of the board near the wood frame but still noticeable. I emailed Nick (the one who reached out after I ordered) and just asked if there was something I could use to buffer it or diminish the appearance. He responded the same day and not only expedited a BRAND NEW a-frame free of charge, but told me to keep my original because he didn’t want me to deal with the hassel of boxing it up and returning it! The “damaged” frame is still completely useable just has a cosmetic defect. I am blown away by the incredible products I ordered (the chalk pens are AMAZING), but am also a customer for life with their phenomenal customer service. Love this company, love their products, and WILL be ordering again.

but I felt like I had to share

I am not one to ever write reviews, but I felt like I had to share. I absolutely love the product, but love Nick B and this company even more. I ordered a chalkboard and it was delivered with a pretty noticeable scratch in the top piece of the wood. I contacted Nick and HBCY Creations letting them know that I really was satisfied with the chalkboard but disappointed it got delivered with a scratch and if there was anything they could to do to send out a new one. Nick emailed me back in the same day apologizing about the defect and let me know that he already processed a replacement order that would arrive in 3 days. He also told me to keep my original chalkboard and to not worry about returning a bulky item since that would've been a hassle for me (which was super nice)! Moral of the story is that this company has terrific customer service, it was so easy on my part and hassle-free to get a new chalkboard. I will most definitely be ordering from HBCY Creations again. Highly recommend this product and company!!

Vibrant Colors & Erases with Ease!

Love this chalkboard A Frame for many reasons compared to past chalkboard purchases. The frame is really beautiful. It's not just dull wood but has the look of reclaimed wood. It's not too heavy but not too light either. You can carry it with ease, but it's not so light that it will easily blow over. The markers are super bright and I was able to erase my mistakes with a sponge and water. That was my biggest and best surprise. All the other chalkboards and markers I've used stained, but erasing on this was a breeze. The best and most surprising thing is that even with the markers, stencils and magnets included it was still almost $20 less expensive than the model I've bought at least 10 times over at Restaurant Depot. And the magnetic clothesline style clips were great for attaching a large index card to advertise a special event which totally stayed put and withstood the weight of the card attached. I highly recommend this product.
