My class LOVES this game!
This game is great! My Kindergarten class LOVES it! It's a fun fast paced way to build sight word fluency. The materials seem to be well made and are holding up to daily use after a few months.

Fun and motivating game for new readers
I have been having trouble getting my five year old interested in learning to read even though he knows all of his letters and letter sounds and loves being read to. This is a fun way to introduce sight words. He loves "racing" to hit the word faster than myself or my husband. I can make it as hard to easy as it needs to be while he gets familiar with the words. We started with just a couple and have slowly added more. There are many words and they are color coded by difficulty level. All in all infinitely more fun than flash cards.

kids love this
they love the fly swatter only complaint I have is you cant really sort out the colors they are all different on the back since there are 5 colors for levels in other words if I sort out the purple I cant sort out red or orange because its all mixed in on the other side,,, By the way picture is not accurate both sides are colored no B&W

Great game to start early & advance sight words!
I have a 1st & 4th grader and they LOVED playing this game!!! It's nice that the levels are color coded and the fly cards & the swatters both are made well and are not flimsy. I sent this to my daughters 1st grade class for a few weeks and the teacher & kids enjoyed it and everything came back still intact!! I just wish I had found this sooner but we still have 2 more grade levels to work with. Great game for the price & a big help with learning sight words while still having fun!!

Great for a 5 year old boy just learning reading concepts
So far we are enjoying it. I play this effectively on ‘single player’ with my son. Because he is so prone to just guess I quickly came up with the rule that he goes first but if he guesses I get the turn to swat. With each word we quickly talk about clues ton sounding out the word. He’s pretty excited about hitting the cards. I think I may include some kind of prize box for successfully beating me 10 times - just to keep it rewarding for him. We enjoy it and it’s built well.

Great game!
Students really enjoy this game. Great for stations, small group etc. Each color is a different level, so to help 7 year olds remember is to actually color code the word SWAT!

My Kids are Smarter Already!
This game was a brilliant idea! We've only played it twice (in one day, since it arrived today), and already my kids have increased their sight word knowledge! I have a 5yo and a 7yo who are close to the same reading level. I got this game because they're both great at phonics but need some sight word practice. It's doing just what I hoped. Why is it working so well? Because they love it, of course! They can learn anything if it's fun. We casually/accidentally added in an important and fun step. After each word was slapped, we came up with silly sentences involving it. For example, when one got the fly with the word "big," we said things like, "Wow, that's a BIG fly!" I actually tried to make sure each word was repeated a few times instead of just slapping it and moving on. As they get faster we might not repeat the words so much, though. It's important to keep it FUN and POSITIVE.
