New lease on life for Nintendo NES-001
Prior to ordering this replacement kit, I had an NES with the red-blinking light. Tried cleaning the OEM connector and also bending up the contacts... which didn't make any difference. This new 72-pin connector unit fit perfectly. I then used the special screwdriver to open each of the game cartridges and clean those contacts with 400 grit sandpaper and then rubbing alcohol. Wow... my NES unit then booted right up with each game cartridge. Happy Camper here! Thumbs up. Hope it lasts a while.

Works great
Works great and easy to install. The only thing that made me uneasy is that the cartridges are a tight fit when you put them in and pull them out.

Yup.. this definitely fixed that blinking red light issue for me
I bought an NES from a shop and had mixed success with getting it to work. I used alcohol to clean the pins of the game and the cartridge slot. Sometimes it would work but soon after cleaning it, it would start to blink again. I ended up looking up some stuff on how to fix the issue and came across this replacement cartridge slot. One thing i'll say... don't be intimidated by the repair. It's super easy. You're just taking screws off (remember the placement of the screws), and then just sliding off the old cartridge slot and installing the new one. Booted it up and it worked on the first try. Kept trying soon after and it kept working. You don't have to buy a "brand new" NES just to guarantee that it works.

Straightforward replacement but did not fix the display issue (ti
I bought this to try to fix the display on a Nintendo NES. Replacement wasn't difficult and there are lots of how to videos on line. The security screwdriver is also handy to clean the games. Don't do a halfway job! Alas, this didn't fix the issue. I suspect that the graphics chip on the motherboard is faulty. It was worth a try for the cost, though.

Works very well!
After installing this into my very old and rusty nes i cleaned up my games and inside the nes and most of my games instantly came on with no blinking light. Nes runs smooth as the day it was made now. Not really anything i can say that i dislike about this pin connector.

New life into old NES
This was relatively easy to install. The only "downside" of the product itself is that the cartridges fit pretty tight in it. I would rather have tight cartidges than loose. I'm guessing it will lighten up with use.
