- A GREAT VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY!!! Don’t let the price fool you, this is a fantastic sommelier-inspired, premium quality and durable 3 in 1 multi-function waiters friend. This corkscrew elegantly blends the features of a wine corkscrew, bottle opener and foil cutter all together in a stylish and DURABLE 420 STAINLESS STEEL body with comfort-grip wood handle. It inspires confidence and offers the satisfying, solid heft of a fine tool and feels good in the hand, like a well-balanced kitchen knife.
- SPECIALLY DESIGNED WORM made of strong steel is guaranteed to cleanly remove any natural or synthetic cork in only 5 turns with no breakage. The precision-cut notch along the worm grips the cork firmly and also reduces the drag as it cuts through the cork, making it less likely the cork will crumble.
- DOUBLE-HINGED FULCRUM provides extra leverage and smoother pulling of even the longest corks. The two piece hinge makes opening wine twice as easy by allowing for a nice, 2-part removal that offers a significant mechanical advantage over older-style single-hinge devices.
- LONG, ROUNDED AND SERRATED FOIL CUTTER makes foil removal quick and eliminates the need to purchase another gadget. It is also specially designed to reduce the risk of slippage and minimize any tearing of the foil or plastic. NOTE - IF THE FOIL KNIFE IS DIFFICULT TO OPEN, SIMPLY APPLY A LITTLE BIT OF OIL AT THE KNIFE'S HINGES TO LOOSEN IT UP. THIS WILL USUALLY DO THE TRICK!
- A HIGH-QUALITY PRODUCT BACKED BY OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE - We'll let our reviews and seller feedback speak for themselves. We are so confident in the quality and durability of our products that we stand behind them 100% with a FREE LIFETIME WARRANTY. If something breaks or if you don't absolutely love your new waiter's corkscrew we will OFFER A REPLACEMENT and/or REFUND YOUR MONEY, no questions asked.

Gives Achimedes a better place to stand! Would have loved this lever corkscrew
This performs better than most cork screws we have used. Bought one years ago to replace a metal-and-plastic Rialto, which introduced us to the two stage, split lever action that makes it easier to pull stubborn corks. We had seen it used by servers at local vineyards and bought some for ourselves and for gifts for friends. But the plastic on the Rialto eventually breaks after years of use. Several years back, we found the HiCoup on Amazon and ordered one to try. Then went back and ordered more, as our friends' old Rialto's began showing their age. And, now convinced over the years that these are "bullet-proof" durable, finally got around to writing a review after buying another this year! All lever action corkscrews depend upon the mechanical advantage provided by leverage. With a single action lever cork screw, the upward leverage is least at the beginning of the pull, when the cork is being held most tightly in the bottle. At the start of extraction, the lever handle is nearly parallel to the screw in the cork, most of the force is wasted by pulling sideways on the screw, not up. The two stage, split lever action solves this problem by allowing the lever fulcrum to be lower, closer to the rim of the bottle, when the pull starts. The handle then starts out perpendicular to the screw, and all the force on the screw goes into extracting the cork upwards, out of the bottle. One of the "tricks" with this corkscrew is to realize that you want the handle to be perpendicular to the direction of pull, in order to get the best leverage. This means don't screw in the corkscrew all the way at first. We like to leave about half a turn of the "pigtail" still showing outside of the cork for the first pull. Then screw into the cork a bit further before starting moving the fulcrum higher up and starting the second pull. Two easy pulls: out comes the cork!

Beautiful, compact, safer alternative for me
I came to this product after a Google search for the "best wine opener" and having now received it, I can see why so many have reviewed it well. I had been using an "Ah-So" cork remover. It has two prongs that one inserts on either side of the cork, then turns to remove the cork. The Ah-So is unusual, compact (which I prefer to bigger openers that take up too much drawer space), and fits nicely into a sleeve. But recently, and to my surprise, it shattered the neck of a wine bottle that had a tight cork and the shards cut my hand in several places. I'm experienced opening wine bottles and can do it quickly. I never suspected something like that could happen. The HiCoup opener is nearly as compact as the Ah-So opener, feels good in my hand hand and promises to be safer. It also includes a knife to cut the foil, which the Ah-So opener lacks. So I look forward to this improvement and to using it for decades.

I love the weight and different finishes
I am a career server and I have at least 6 of these bad boys. I love the fine serrated edge of the blade, although I do wish it were a smooth blade for more elegant foil cuts. My one gripe is that it's a two-handed tool- I have to use my other hand to pull out the blade, instead of being able to flick it. That being said, a little retraining of muscle memory on the floor solved the problem. I have the wood and moonstone finishes. The weight feels awesome and pulling the cork is smooth. This is my go-to wine opener both at home and at the restaurant.

Awesome Opener...best I've owned!
I normally wouldn't write a review for such a simple product, but I have to say this is an excellent corkscrew! I've owned many over the years and never had a good one I guess...this thing is great! I was watching a wine show on TV and noticed they appeared to be using a fairly nice looking opener so I went to their website and saw the type of opener they used on the show. This one looked close so I ordered it...the reviews were pretty positive. Well, I couldn't be happier! It proved that I was using cheap, crappy openers in the past where there were times I thought I was going to either bust the cork or part of the opener was going to go through my hand! If you're looking for a new opener this is the one for you...it's heavy and feels great in your hand!

What a little lifesaver. Fast and efficient!
I work at a wine bar here in California and the place is always packed to the walls with people. I am constantly busy and we net ~$30,000 a night on weekends just in wine sales. My boss told me I needed to start buying my own wine keys (another name for a corkscrew) so I went online to Amazon. I didn't know if I should take my chances on this corkscrew from HiCoup based on all the 5-star product reviews. How could this simple little tool garnish so many raving reviews? It seemed unreal to me. I also didn't want to drop fifteen dollars on something that I go through so often at my workplace, but I took a chance and bought it anyways. I'm very happy and I do not regret my purchase at all. First day using it was spectacular. The tool itself has the perfect weight. It really feels like you are holding something of quality and craftsmanship. With a nice finish on the wood and a comfortable grip, it works perfectly in a high paced work atmosphere. The double hinge is fast and strong with the first lip usually doing the job if I'm not being lazy. The serrated blade is the best! It cut through even the thickest necks of wine bottles and just *works*. The 'worm' is very cool, with an inline groove running along the corkscrew down to the point. i do not know what this feature is for but it makes my open bottles quickly and efficiently. I would recommend this tool to anyone! I would not spend $35+ on another competitors corkscrew since this one works so well. I plan on owning this for a long time and since the company offers a lifetime warranty on the product, I don't think I'll ever need to replace it. Very happy with my purchase! *TIP* When I first received the item, the hinge between the bottle opener and the handle was very stiff and opening the corkscrew was difficult and annoying. I dabbed a little bit of olive oil onto a rolled paper towel and rubbed some into the two hinges, thus reducing the friction of the metal and fixing my one and only problem. I would recommend doing the same if you're experiencing the same issue.

good, quality item at a good price - seller goes above and beyond
I was just looking for a basic wine bottle opener to replace the cheapo one I had (I had to bend that one because after screwing it in all the way, I couldn't get the lever to press against the top of the bottle). This one has a spring-loaded lever that works great for starting to take the cork out when screwed all the way in, and then finishing when it is just about out. I initially had picked a similar one that cost more, then stumbled across this and gave it a shot. Glad I did, better than I expected! Seller also really goes above and beyond (sending a nice thank-you note, with link to product info, after the order; and checked in again after the delivery to make sure everything was good). Packaging was also good, also including a nice thank-you note). I don't write reviews often, but this was a better buying experience than usual, so wanted to show my appreciation.

Feels great in your hand, and the mechanism works flawlessly.
I, and my wife, were a bit skeptical about the quality of this corkscrew before purchasing it on line. We even looked at multiple options at our local culinary store, however, once I received it and used it I was sold. The craftsmanship appears first rate! The feel is great in your hand, and the mechanism works flawlessly. I have only had the tool for a week or so, but have opened at least four bottles of wine, and this tool is now my go to for all wine corks. I even went so far as to tell my wife I may buy a bunch for Christmas gifts to hand out next year to our friends, instead of the annual wine giving.

does a very good job
I have never been a wine lover, and do not know any thing about the stuff. I know about RYE whiskey. I have a lady friend who enjoys a glass of wine once in while, so I recently joined a wine club and bought three bottles of award winning wine. Wine that I had never heard of won awards that I had never heard of. I needed a way to get at the wine, so I went looking; the add said this is the choice of professional Sommeliers, so I thought it had to be a good one. I had never used one before, and it took a while to figure out how to work it, With a whiskey bottle, you just unscrew the cap, throw it away and drink. The Professional Wine Opener by HiCoup is easy to use and does a good job of getting a cork out without tearing it up and leaving pieces of cork mixed in the wine. Also it looks good and impressed my girl.

I really like this wine key
I really like this wine key, I’m a server and bartender in a restaurant that sells a lot of bottles of wine so I wanted a wine key that would make the bottle opening process quicker and smoother. This wine key definitely satisfies what I was looking for; however, after two days of using the wine key, the moonstone handle broke. I can’t recall how it broke or at any point being super aggressive with the wine key for it to break so I was pretty upset. I gorilla glued it back together and it’s fine but it does have chunks missing in the stone handle now and I worry about it breaking again. UPDATE: Since posting this review, the company has reached out to me in multiple ways to work with me on either replacing the wine key or at least refund me for the broken tool. When I said I would give them another shot, they expedited a new wine key to me and still refunded the item. I haven't used the new wine key yet but I wanted to update this review because the customer service from this company is amazing and some of the best service I have received in a long time.
