I would recommend it with his eyes closed

Small but very important and very useful for my work in photography. I would have liked him to bring something like a keychain to hang it on my camera so it won't get lost, even so I would recommend it with his eyes closed.

Hot Shoe Level Can Protect Your Camera’s Hot Shoe!

A few months ago I picked up a Hot Shoe Level for my Sony a6000 since it did not have a Hot Shoe Cover. I figured that a pack of four Hot Shoe Covers for less than $10 was a good investment to protect my camera. Plus the built in bubble level will help level my shots on a trip or shooting from the hip. The Hot Shoe Level fits any standard Hot Shoe mount and is a fit is perfect for my Sony a6000. It easily slides into place but once seated, you can’t accidentally bump it out. You will have to give it a little pressure to remove it from the mount. The bubble mount is a little on the small side. It could be a little larger but it works for quick adjustments. After some testing it looks to be pretty accurate. I now have both my cameras with the Hot Shoe Level. Because of the price and that you get four covers for about $8 it’s worth it and I recommend that anyone that has an unprotected Hot Shoe Mount, you keep it covered with this level tool or with another cover.

Simple

I bought these simply to protect my hot shoe, but the level has been very useful when calibrating lenses. For the price having a few of these around is nice.

Level shot each time

I purchased this to get level shots for some commercial inspection work I have to do. Often I have to hold my camera at an odd angle and I cannot see what I am photographing as I am shooting through a confined space. This three axis level has allowed me to get a level photo the first time instead of having to take four or five pictures and pick the best one to fix in post.

Quick leveling

These are very handy items that help you quickly level your DSLR, they fit in the flash shoe and protect the contacts, popping out easily, when you want to hook up your flash foot. They are inexpensive, easy to use, and are delivered rapidly at a very, reasonable price!

A great add-on if

A great add-on if, like me, you have trouble keeping the camera square to the horizon. Why they had to make it in day-glow green is beyond me... it attracts unnecessary attention

Pretty cool and pretty cheap

I really just needed something to protect the hot-shoe on my Sony A6000. There are lots of contacts in the front and I could see that dirt could accumulate and potentially a cable could get stuck in there an damage the pins. This little device fills the gap and protects the physical and electric connections very well. As an added bonus I got a level that will help me make sure my tripos shots are level. Thank you for a great product!

It's perfect

I love this because it's small, about the size of a die, and doesn't take up much space in my camera bag. It stays put by attaching to the camera's hot shoe, so I can maneuver the tripod all I want without dislodging it or dealing any kind of sticky tape.

Adequate for my photography

I am going to keep and use it. Not as precise as I had hoped, but still within expectations. I've had (and lost) a few of these cubes and they are truly not precision instruments. Still, it should be adequate for my photography. Give the vendor 5 stars and the product 3 stars or less.

Base thickness is uneven

My reason for one star is the molding of the base. In the attached image of the base it slides on the camera left to right. Notice the right side of the base wing is thinner than the left and the center is thicker than both making it impossible to fully seat on the camera accessory shoe (hot shoe). See the attached images of it in the camera shoe. Though I already I have a dual axis level that slides on and off all my cameras I wanted a three axis spirit level. The best I might be able to do is sand the bottom making it fit, but then I must be extremely careful making sure it is indeed level. EDITED 2017-11-01 Over the past few days this vendor contacted me about my review. Their concern was my dissatisfaction, their goal is to make it all good. In all correspondence they have been exceedingly helpful, cordial, and to make things right they have gone out of their way. Though the product had manufacturing flaws out of their control their customer service is above reproach. The important thing in any transaction is how well does a seller handle issues; their attention to their customers is above and beyond what would be expected. Would I again purchase from them, yes. The reason for five stars is their customer service. They have contacted their manufacture about the manufacture's poor molding. With molding issue resolved this should be an outstanding product. Again, it is important the manner problems are addressed, and FOTYRIG seems very sincere about correcting issues brought to their attention. Edited 2017-11-06 Today I received a replacement three axis bubble level. This replacement perfectly fits 100% of my cameras. My cameras are old film cameras, Pentax K1000, K1000 SE, and K2, Minolta XG 7, Canonet G-III QL17, and Leica IIIf. Folks I have shot for request film not digital. FOTYRIG I am commending you for your customer service, followup and follow through. Very much impressed with your company; well deserving five stars. From me a heartfelt thank you. NOTE: Because the base molding anomaly is resolved I removed the original three images.
