Can catch even silt!

Excellent! We were battling some gunky water after leaving it all winter. I was getting pretty frustrated. I started using these with a pool vacuum. Catches so much gunk---even silt! I am amazed every time I run the filter. Use a flock agent, and it will get so thick with materials. If you have dirty water, make sure to check it often so you don't burn your motor out (it can get so thick with material that water cannot easily pass through). The elastic gives out after a few weeks of heavy use, so it is nice to get a pack with more than one in there. I would definitely buy this again.

Working great!

Skimmer socks are great for keeping so much junk from going to your pool filter. I’m constantly searching for the best price on skimmer socks because we go through them so quickly. We live in a wooded area and have to change these daily at this time of the year. This brand seems to be a bit smaller and have less stretch than most other brands I’ve used. However, they do still stretch enough to fit my standard Hayward size skimmer baskets, but don’t really expand to sit completely on the bottom of the basket...which I actually prefer. I use chlorine tabs in the bottom of the basket and other brands of socks would lay on the tabs and would end up with a huge hole in it. So far, these have not done that.

Will save your filtration system.

These filter socks are so great, especially in the Spring time when all the trees are opening up and blooming, and everything is falling into the water. I would need to backwash frequently to help the water move better. Now I check the basket every couple of hours, put on a new sock and rinse the old one. My pump circulates the water as it should and that makes me happy.

Wish I'd ordered them sooner!

These are fantastic. We have a DE filter, which does an amazing job keeping our water filtered, but the addition of these to our baskets keeps so much debris from even getting to the filter! I have to clean my skimmer baskets more frequently, but I expected that in lieu of backwashing the filter. I have also rinsed and reused these several times with no issue. Even added one to our Polaris vac to help keep some of the finer sand/dirt from just mixing back into the water while operating the automatic cleaner. Item as described, arrived timely, very happy.

Well worth the investment

I've used it for little over a week now and really like it. This is the first time I'm using the skimmer socks, so I can't compare to other products, but these were cheaper than some of the other products and it seems to have really good quality. They are easy to put on and catches everything... My pump debris filter basket is completely clean since I put these on the skimmers. Not only will these keep my filters clean longer, but my pool water seems much cleaner too. Well worth the money and the effort.

Love the skimmer socks!

I love these skimmer socks. I mostly use them in the spring during opening or during the season when vacuuming the pool. I don't recommend using skimmer socks all the time. If they clog up with debris, it'll restrict water flow through the pump or could possibly break the bottom of your skimmer basket from increased suction pressure. I love these for use when sweeping the pool. You don't have to vacuum to waste. You can keep the valve on filter or recirculate. These skimmer sock catch almost everything. I've left them on before and it'll be clogged with insects and scum (oils and dead algae).

Great product and amazing customer service

I've been struggling with a slightly cloudy pool for months and haven't been able to figure out how to clean it. I'm using chemicals, cleaning the filters, skimming constantly, and I STILL couldn't get it crystal clear UNTIL I added these. I had thought I was going to need to invest in a new DE filter, but I've at least put that off a while. You DO need to clean these a little more often than a normal plastic skimmer, but that's just because they're picking up so much more organic material. I can say that the pool looks better than ever. I also got great customer service - I reached out to ask if I could wash the socks, and got fast, easy answers for everything I asked.

Very Positive Reaction. These are the best skimmer socks ever. They are easy to install. They are a bit wider than the ones I used in the past which is very good. The material is a bit thinner but did not cause a problem in the life of the product. After literally nine weeks of use, I have not had a run or tear and have a lot of debris that comes into the two skimmers. The warranty the company gives suggests a lot of confidence in the product.

Fits well catches small pollen

I have not had these socks long enough to see long term effects but the first one I have used stretched around my skimmer trap and did not impede flow. After 2 days the sock was completly coated in very fine pollen which would be inside my filter without the sock. Very pleased with that result. The sock was easy to rinse off without having to remove it from the filter basket and showed no signs of degradation or rips. I waited until I cleaned out the filter canisters before using the sock so I can see the difference next time I clean the filter but that is 6 months away. If they continue to keep out the clogging pollen I normally get I should be able to reduce my cleaning schedule to just once a year. Seems to be worth the cost so far so we'll see next next Fall if they work as expected but I can see already they do what they are advertised to do? Good porduct and great idea!

Keeps sand in my filter cleaner than ever

I've had an above ground pool for 15 years. Last year was the first time I used these. I have a very small Hayward skimmer basket and these socks fit it well. In 3 months I used 4 socks. I get a lot of white pine needles and etcetera in my pool. In addition to a skimmer, my pool has a bottom drain. The skimmer sock won't let anything go into the filter. Some needles get into the filter from the bottom drain (because there's no sock between that and the filter). I use the filter sand for more than a year so It's nice that it stays cleaner. Before I purchased these I emailed the company a question and they promptly replied. I would buy these again.
