I purchased the SumpMarine UTP water pump to help me drain an outside fish pond for cleaning. It is of high quality and did an excellent job emptying the pond (about 100 gallons). A great feature is the hose attachment that goes in the water to keep debris out of the pump (and fish). I highly recommend it. Just remember to put some water in the pump before you plug it in!

Used pump to empty a fiber filled king size water bed. Reading through the reviews I had some concerns but purchased it regardless based on mixed reviews and price. Arrived quickly Ran great, primed easily and was quiet. 35 minutes later the pump had managed to suck the water out of all the fiber matting in bed, stayed cool and didn’t get any louder. Could not have been happier.

I was very impressed with the quality of the pump. It was designed and built to be repairable. It performed flawlessly in emptying our fountain for the winter. My only criticism is that the instructions say to pour half a tablespoon of vegetable oil into the inlet prior to use. The inlet was covered with a sticker telling you to pour water into it prior to the first use. The oil filled the inlet, precluding adding water. That should be made more clear in the instructions.

For a little pump it pushes the water. I ran it for a couple hours to drain the water out of my yard. update: i have now ran this pump off and on for a couple of weeks and it did a great job of clearing the water out of my yard when i had a busted pipe under my house.

We were skeptical that this small pump could move the gallons of water that accumulated too much in the winter months out of our inground pool. We set it up and let it run for over an hour a couple of times so far. It has worked great. We did add vegetable oil and also had to prime it with water which info was not clear in the directions, but it worked.

Works well so far. I am running the pump to supply water at a construction site from 55 gal drums in my truck bed. I plug this into a 300W inverter connected to the battery and it seems to pump at full volume without issues. It would be nice if it had an on/off switch on the pump so you don't have to run back and forth to your power source to start and stop it. It does need to be primed if it has dried out completely but leaving the hoses connected with some water in them can avoid the need to prime the pump.

This is basically a better version of the cheapo unit that burnt out on me that I got from a discount tool supply company. Runs nice, is much quieter and even comes with a rebuild kit. I used it to drain my coolant tanks and it did not take very long at all. I do recommend putting some water into the unit the first time you fire it up, and also running some clean water through it when you are done to flush it out, maybe a spray of WD-40 as well before storage.

I used this pump to empty a water bed. It did the job in a little less than 30 minutes. It was very easy to set up and to start, make sure you follow the instructions about putting vegetable oil in it prior to using. The short hose that came with it was perfect. I was really impressed that they sent an extra set of brushes for the electric motor and an extra impeller for the pump. They also send an extra gasket for the pump cover incase you do need to change the impeller. These are vital parts, that will over time wear out over time.

It's small, it's portable, it has a great attachment to suck up low level water. I use it mainly for aquarium maintenance and it really simplifies the job. It's more efficient, and given the quantity of water needed to provide the necessary suction is more cost effective, than the Richter style systems designed for aquarium use.
