Best Kindle so far!
I love this reader so far. Text and images are amazingly crisp and the device is very comfortable to hold. Accelerometer quickly flips the page orientation when you flip the device around which is nice. It's worth paying the extra $20 to remove ads in my opinion, as the screensaver images are beautiful and definitely add to the overall appeal of the device.

Very happy with the Kindle Oasis and with Amazons customer service ...
Very happy with the Kindle Oasis and with Amazons customer service who provided a great after sales service. Super fast delivery too, received it within 5 days and I live in Thailand. A little pricey but glad I made the upgrade from the Paperwhite, I find the new Oasis to be a much better reading experience and like pretty much everything about it. The build quality is solid and the bigger screen makes reading more enjoyable, it's flush with the aluminium edging, txt is nice and sharp and the even lighting ensures a crisp display. I prefer Kindle to tablets/ipads, or reading on the phone as they're easier on the eyes, better battery life and distraction free and in my humble opinion, this one is the best to date. Hope this helps.

Great size and excellent battery life, plus the screen now rotates
I love the new dimensions of the Kindle Oasis - much easier to hold and the rotating screen means I can lie it at different angles and have the screen adjust. The new Origami cover is also an excellent way to prop up my Kindle on a table, my lap or even reading in bed. The extra storage means I don't have to delete so many classic books from my collection. I just wish there was an easy way to manage how they catalogue, store and sort on my Kindle.

Amazingly impressive!!
Received mine in South Africa in 4 days!! Absolutely loving the 'Invert Black and White' function, much easier on the eyes. I tried out the Text-to-Speech function and it's so good it's all I have used so far. The TTS works while the cover is closed. The voice is impressive, even does intonation for questions. I was listening and doing the housework and gardening: great multi-tasking. Makes a nice change from sitting at the computer and reading for 12 hours a day for my thesis!!! I used the TTS for about 8 hours yesterday and drained half the battery. I bought the material cover for it and it makes it much easier to hold. The cover doesn't easily come off but it can, so would be nice to have a clip to fix it permanently at the back, but that is the only little critique. Also glad I bought the 32GB version as there is only 27GB of free space available on the device. The automatic brightness setting is also great. I borrowed my friends entry level PaperWhite before and the battery was terrible with no lights, but this is the Rolls-Royce!!! The screen is nice and big with better clarity (pixels), the page buttons are much better than tapping the screen while reading and the TTS sounds like an audible book and the lights are worth having. For me, the best features are the black and white inversion and the TTS.

I really love reading and initially thought I didn't need or want ...
This is my first e-reader. I originally wanted the kobo but convenient shipping swayed me to buy this kindle instead. I really love reading and initially thought I didn't need or want an e- reader but now that I own one, I dunno why I waited so long to get it. Yes, nothing can replace a real book; the smell, the texture of paper, the contentment of seeing your library.. but when I thought about it, the real reason for buying a book was the content. Plus points if it had a beautiful cover and was hardbound. Anyway, reading on my ipad and phone was totally wrecking my eyesight so for me, this was totally worth it. Plus points for being lightweight, kindle books that are cheaper than print, eco friendly and free from distractions. Will update this post once I figure out exact battery life span and stuff or if I notice something else.

Great reader
I like the automatic light, and I love having the choice between buttons and touch screen to turn pages. Have already read a ton of books on this since March and loving it.

Pleasant to hold, touch and read
I love kindle a lot. Use it everywhere and at the moment I have a time to read. This one is very comfortable, user oriented and just cute. Furthermore it has great technical characteristics.

... two days before my birthday and I am enormously happy with how it revived my love for good reads
Just got mine all the way here in the Philippines two days before my birthday and I am enormously happy with how it revived my love for good reads. The fact that I can carry along all the books I have read previously makes it appealing all the more. Now I can shut the world out and immerse myself in the pleasure of reading. The only regret I have is that I took a long span of time to decide and buy. Five huge stars for you! I'm going to turn into a mermaid at this rate.
I got my oasis as a preorder after having used a paperwhite and a fire. By far, it's my favorite device. There are a few things to keep in mind: If you plan on taking this puppy where it might get wet, *you need to get the screen protector.* It makes sure the water doesn't register as a 'touch' on the screen. Though I just reach over, grab the edge of my towel, and give the screen a handy swipe if I get it wet while reading in the tub. Also, reading in the tub. Yeah. I've been doing that a lot lately. In fact, I've never been so clean in my entire life, and I'm pretty sure my husband would like a chance to use the tub, too, but I'm really not sure I want to give up my bubble bath book reading time. It works really well, page flip is fantastic, and it blows the fire and paperwhite out of the water. It's expensive, but so far, it's worth its weight in gold for me. So far, I haven't turned into a mermaid yet, but I'm working on it. P.S.: I totally recommend turning off the bathroom light while reading, waiting for your partner to come home and head into the bathroom. Then you can scare them. (The backlight is really nice on this device.)

Perfect for Heavy readers 200+📚 📚📚 a year
Very sleek and light weight easy to use better screen size than the Kindle Paper White allowing for main menu to show entire book titles as well as being able to display book list in a larger format. How ever I think $200 to $250 Would be a better pricing as you dont get 3 times the book or feactures. But I do like it and as I read about 300 novels a year to me it is worth the money but if you only read a few books a month then the Paper White will be all you ever need.
