Absolutely love this hotspot. I was getting 8Mbps down max with my old one but I'm nwt getting 30+Mbps with this hotspot. I use this as my home internet connection.

Easy setup. Switched my old SIM card from nonfunctional jet pack. Works like a charm.

Bought this as slightly used for less than half the price of new. Product arrived looking as good a new and its woring great for my project. I would buy slightly used again if I ever need another Verizon Jetpack. The charger is included. This was not clear from the Seller's description on Amazon.

As a bit of background, I'm grandfathered into the now-defunct VZW Unlimited Prepaid Jetpack Plan. When I found out about it, I jumped on it like a cat on a bird. Good thing, too. They discontinued it a few months later. But I was grandfathered, undoubtedly because of my long, white beard and gray hair. I bought this Jetpack to replace the one they sold me when I opened the plan. The device they sold me was an older one with only 2.4 Wi-Fi and apparently lacking some of the newer bands VZW uses. This one has 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi and covers more bands. The Jetpack arrived in very good condition, especially for a used device. Other then a bit of very minor scuffing on the back, it looked new. I won't take a star off for the scuffing because it was, after all, sold as a used device, not a "renewed" one. It also didn't include any instructions; but the listing made it clear that it probably wouldn't, so that wasn't an issue. The battery appears new, but I haven't had the Jetpack long enough to comment on battery life. I also can't comment on tech support because none was needed. It automatically provisioned itself to my account. I logged into VZW just to make sure, and voila, there it was. All I did was insert the SIM card from my Unlimited VZW Prepaid Jetpack plan, and the device fired right up, connected, activated itself on my VZW account, downloaded two updates, restarted, and connected again. I'm getting both downloads and uploads both in the 20 Mbps neighborhood, which is pretty good considering I live in the boonies. As I mentioned, the VZW plan I have is no longer available. Existing customers (even those without gray beards) are being grandfathered, but VZW isn't accepting new customers for the unlimited plan. If you're in that position as well, I can tell you that for me, this Jetpack activated on my prepaid account without a hitch. Richard

This little guy is easier to use than the old ones. Plug and go was easy. It has a better battery life and holds connections better.

This is the best iteration of the MiFi hotspot concept that I've seen so far, and I've owned four or five generations. It works reliably, the touchscreen is a big improvement over previous MiFis, the display is clear and well organized... I can't find anything to complain about.

Great hotspot! Doubly out does my old one. Gives me 150+mbps consistently! And i live in a very remote area, cell signal is only 1-2 bars on a good day, but gives me good speed!

Bonded LTE. What's not to like? * This is the fastest verizon LTE hotspot yet mostly because of bonding. * It has an excellent battery run time * It has non-problematic WiFi as well as guest wifi: each optionally enabled * wifi range is surprisingly good. hotspot [wall powered, charging] in kitchen, laptop in the game room down a long hallway. * It sports USB tethering. Use far less battery connecting (with software) to the hotspot. Optionally disable wifi or let other wifi devices connect while tethering. * FDD LTE > TDD LTE :: CDMA > TDMA + vast improvement: forgetting the admin password no longer renders the hotspot a pricey brick like much older models + wifi clients can connect prior to on screen gui availability after starting a boot CONS: - mandatory firmware "upgrades" - slow boot time - LTE antenna is not awesome in weaker areas or inside certain buildings - cannot adjust tone volume of notifications. only enabled or disabled. - adding device to account automatically INFLICTS an "activation fee" with zero notification until bill is posted 20 monies monthly for 15gigs of verizon LTE is not too outrageous. Throttling to 3g after LTE bucket consumed is far better than TELLO throttling to "2g" (64kbits/s). I carry a backup Sprint Hotspot for use on Tello, a mvno of sprint. Its LTE is far more costly: 19 monies for 3gigs/mo, but it is pre paid (and can be purchased anonymously) I purchased this used, Very Good (described as like new), for 40 monies from third party seller: POWERBOOKMEDIC, LLC [&seller=A1512DZE0H120G]. I trust used more than "refurbished".

The Jetpack 7730L on Verizon network works very well. We do a lot of "off-grid" camping, and there is often weak or no cell phone coverage. We have cell phones with a different carrier, and were using one as our hotspot for Internet access. This works well for the most part, but there were some trouble spots. We went with the Jetpack to get Verizon as another carrier. So far now, wherever we go, we seem to have coverage on one or the other, and the Jetpack does a Great job creating WiFi access. It was very easy to set up, and worked right out of the box. This unit did Not come with a SIM card, but the folks at Verizon fixed that. I do have an issue with Verizon, as it seems their "Unlimited" plan isn't really unlimited. It's only 10 GBytes, and then metered to 3G, which by comparison with the 4G signals we've been getting, is painfully slow. Please note that the Jetpack device is not the issue, and it has worked very well. I recommend this unit, and I would buy it again if we needed a new one.

Great signal reception in a river valley. Enables us to work remotely on boat
