Generic vs. Glow Bowl

I just threw away my second Glow Bowl. So I figured, if they aren't going to last more than six months, then why pay twice as much for one name brand as I can pay for two of the generic! So here is the scoop. Like the Glow Bowl, these use three AAA batteries. These generally last 2-3 weeks. UPDATE: I have had the same batteries in this since I got it about 3-4 months ago, so for some reason the batteries last longer in this than they did in my Glow Bowl. This generic one is much smaller, but provides the same amount of light. However, I can't seem to get them (we bought the two pack) off the color changing mode. I prefer to set it on the pretty blue and leave it there. Instead, it comes on as red and slowly changes to different colors. This is the reason I lowered it to four stars. Otherwise, I love it. We rely heavily on these for safety at night. We are both in our 50's and I personally get up 2 - 3 times a night to go. My mother just fell while going at night, bumped her head and ended up in the hospital. I just wonder if one of these would have prevented her fall. I will update my review and let you know how long they last. So far I am pleased. If anyone has any tips on how to get it to the solid blue, please leave a comment below, thank you. ANOTHER UPDATE: I just figured out how to stop on a color of choice, so I have moved my rating up to five stars. While the color isn't as vibrant as the Glo Bowl, the batteries don't need changed nearly as often and these have lasted longer without dying on me. I wouldn't hesitate to reorder these again in the future. PHOTO shows the Glow Bowl on the left and this smaller generic one on the right. I like the smaller size.

My friend has one so i want one .its so cute.u can customize the color or stay as changing color...Its pretty neat and its cool to have one u dnt have to turn ur lights one as this one is motion sensor detected so saves u electricity that is if u just want to pee lol

Little things are Awesome. Bright but no blinding when you walk into the bathroom in the middle of the night. As far as cleaning we use cholrox wipes.

I absolutely love this product. Especially because with a husband and a son, they tend to sprinkle on the toilet seat in the middle of the night. With the color set to any bright color (like white, yellow, green, or blue) it illuminates every single sprinkle on the seat! You will no longer have a bottom wet with boy pee in the middle of the night! When I purchased this I bought a case of "AAA" batteries thinking I would have to change them often (with 6 people in the house they get used often). However I have not had to change the batteries once in a few months! Also the sensor is super sensitive so it turns on as your comin in the door, or even a little before. Just a great product all around. Definitely recommend for households with children, you won't have to leave your bathroom light in all night anymore either! #MomWin

Great little toilet light

We love these little toilet lights. We give them out for Christmas gifts. What we do is go in to our friends house and put it on their toilet when they don't know it and then call them the next day to see if they loved it. And they all do we have had so much fun with them and enjoy them so much. They change colors and are nice at night as you don't have to turn on your bright light. Kids as well as adults love these. Plus you get 2!!!!
