Better than the Apple Smart Case.

I'm not going to lie, I purchased the MoKo case because it was cheap. I had an Apple Smart Cover on a previous model of iPad,and honestly, I found it more an annoyance than useful - when I was manipulating it into a stand it would come off the iPad. Ugh, the pains of doing business with a company that values form over utility. So I went with the MoKo case. And as it turns out, MoKo makes a much nicer case than Apple. In MoKo's design, the iPad fits into a clear soft plastic shell which has the front cover that works the same as the Apple Smart Cover. Because it is a single unit that envelops the ipad - well, nothing detaches when the front cover is manipulated into a stand. And better yet, the entire ipad is protected - back and sides. There are cutouts for the back camera, buttons, jack, speakers, and cable slot. I dropped the iPad a couple of times on a tile floor - and zero damage. It is easy to slip the case off - and I do so for playing games that use tilt controls. But my favorite part of the case, I can fold the cover along the back and use it to grip the ipad when reading - much like the new Kindle reader has that ridge for one handed reading. MoKo case - buy it for the price, but enjoy because it is genuinely better than the Apple Smart Cover

I love this case. It looks like rich red leather. The clear back let’s my gold iPad shine through. I have the 2017 iPad and this case fits perfectly. It was recommended to me by the salesman at the Apple Store. He said he had one! Can’t get a better recommendation than that! I’ve had other covers with my older iPad, including Apples Leather Smart Cover and they just didn’t hold up. The MoKo still looks brand new after nearly a year of heavy use.

Don't let Apple rob you

Apple really likes to steal your money for no reason. Don't let them. MoKo has made a seriously nice clear plastic case with a built-in smart cover which protects my new iPad (Mar 2017 edition) perfectly while adding functionality to it. The outside of the case's cover is a rubbery material and the inside is a very sheer (albeit a little rough) microfiber fabric material. The plastic shell is lightweight but sturdy to the point where I feel like if I dropped my ipad from 5ft off the ground, it'd end up totally ok. The holes for the headphone jack, microphone, camera, power button, volume buttons, and lighting port might not line up perfectly, but they're fairly accurate and provide plenty of space for function without leaving too much space for damage to occur. I want to stress that Apple's cover and case are sold separately at $40 and $60 respectively, costing you $100 to cover your ipad. In fact, Apple doesn't even provide cases for the new 2017 iPad yet. Moko has provided an $8 full solution that provides (in my opinion) even better protection. Buying this cover was a no brainer, and I couldn't be happier with the product.

Great and affordable

Just got a new ipad and I didn't want to pay the excessive cost of getting an Apple brand cover. Thought I would take a chance on this one and I am really happy with it. Great color and the ipad fits snugly into the case with no issues. It doesn't have the detachable magnetic spine so when you open this up and wrap the cover around the back it's a little awkward in that it doesn't lay super flat against the back side. The magnets could be a tad bit stronger. For the cost I'm willing to deal with it and I don't even notice it any longer as it doesn't really impede anything. The only knock I have against this is when you fold up the cover to use as a prop to hold the ipad upright it's not as secure as my old Apple one. Because it has 3 panels, versus the 4 on the Apple one, it doesn't feel as secure to me when you don't have that extra panel to tuck in. Edit: I see that Apple has 3 panels now, no longer 4. It's too bad my old one is cracked as I prefer that better.

there is nothing spectacular to this case but it is everything you'd expect from a great quality case

Every now and then you buy something cheap and are actually impressed how well built and high quality the product is. This case is one of those items. I bought this case for my mom's ipad and I just needed some kind of protection, nothing fancy and definitely nothing expensive. Then I bought this case for a couple of bucks and I gotta say I would be impressed even if I bought it at 3 times the price I paid. To be honest, there is nothing spectacular to this case but it is everything you'd expect from a great quality case. It looks great, it feels great, it's light, it's cut perfectly...in other words, just because it's cheap no corners were cut when it was being made. I definitely recommend this product!

EXCELLENT, but NOT for the IPad **Pro**

I originally purchased this product for my new 2017 rose gold Apple 9.7" Pro iPad. I discovered immediately that it did not fit properly, and I posted a review to that effect. However, customer service contacted me immediately and suggested that I had a 2016 model iPad, and this is only for the 2017 iPad. Since I bought my iPad in April 2017, I kept insisting that I *did* have the new iPad and that this product just didn't fit. I even went back to the Apple store, where they verified I had the latest (2017) version. Luckily, customer service sent me a picture of the differences. It turns out that it was not a matter of 2016 vs 2017. I had a 9.7" iPad **Pro**, and this cover is just for a 9.7" iPad (NOT Pro). I honestly had no idea there were two different 9.7" iPads. Even the "geniuses" at the Apple store didn't catch this! That said, as soon as I realized my mistake, I let Moko know, and they were gracious enough to send me the correct version as a replacement. Now THAT is what I call excellent customer service! I did try this case on a non Pro 9.7" iPad, and it fit perfectly. The iPad and iPad Pro versions of this case are identical in materials - they only differed in fit and cut-outs in the back plastic cover. The back snaps on easily, and the cover is similar in texture to the ones at Apple (not quite as good, but not like some of the cheap ones that peel and smell funny - besides, you are paying a fraction of the price!) I actually didn't want a back cover at all - just the magnetic smart cover, but I haven't been able to find a vendor that just makes the front. After all, I went out of my way to get Rose Gold - why would I want to cover it up? Besides, I had just the front magnetic cover for my old iPad 2, which I had for over SIX years and there was barely a scratch on the back - and I take my iPad with me EVERYWHERE! It is always in my purse or laptop bag. In any event, the back cover of this one is not clear, but it matches the rose gold color very well, so it's not a bad option.

After trying other brands either for iPhone or iPad I’ve always been extremely disappointed. I searched for a few weeks for a case before I opened my iPad. (I’m horrible at not dropping my things) this is why I chose this brand, and company. Great customer service and great high quality materials! Absolutely fabulous at doing the job. I got a brand new iPad, and this one has protected the device better than I thought. I ordered 1 and received 2 as a sample. The color is true to the picture and perfect for the price. In fact, I was surprised it wasn’t higher in price due to high quality materials. After having this case for a few months, it’s still in tact, and love it! The left side where it snaps on the the device has broken off, only due to me dropping it. Other than that the material is sturdy! The soft velvet on the inside is my favorite part as it doesn’t scratch the screen and in fact seems to clean the screen off. Maybe by accident but I’ll take it ! The magnetic flap works wonders when I need to prop my iPad up. 10/10 recommend!

Great cover fits new 2017 ipad like a glove

Fits the new 2017 ipad like a glove. I don't know why a few reviewers insisted on it being "cheap". I don't think it looks cheap, unless those people expected fine leather and gold engraving from a $8 (including shipping) case. This cover fits perfectly and works really well. I got the navy blue color and it looks really nice and a standout from the usual blacks and grays. The back cover is hard plastic that protects the ipad completely and is translucent, so you can see the Apple logo (for those who insist on displaying their brand superiority). I am really happy buying this case. It's a gift and is very well received.
