Best Cat Door Ever!

We are in a temporary apartment for only 6 months, but wanted a pet door because the only place to fit our cat's litter box is out on our tiny, tiny balcony! This door is perfect. We wiped the doorway with rubbing acohol as suggested and then applied a layer of 2" blue painters tape (to protect the apartment's recent paint job). We wiped that with rubbing alcohol before mounting the new screen. We ended up putting the velcro on the side of the casing on one side and on the front of the casing on the other It works great! Our cat needed a lot of coaxing over a few days to get comfortable going under it instead of gently clawing at the screen when he saw us outside. The fiberglass mesh stood up to this gentle clawing with no damage (but I don't want to imply that cats can climb the screen without damaging it!). He used the outside litterbox last night (hurray!). We can now get rid of the temporary one inside. I bought this as a cat door, but it is wonderful as a people door as well. It is sooo nice to be able to bring an armload of food and dishes to our balcony table without having to fumble for a door knob. And, now, with the weather so nice, we just prop the balcony door open all the time. It helps set up a gentle breeze through our apartment that makes air conditioning and fans unnecessary. The screen isn't bad looking either -- but too bad the bright blue tape kind of ruins the effect. We used the tape due to the temporary nature of our residence here.

Fabulous product. We've installed three so far, two 36" wide and one 34" wide. Suddenly the circulation through our house is substantially increased than when we just opened windows. Here's a hint: buy these upholstery tacks Decotacks Upholstery Nails/tacks 7/16" - 100 Pcs [ Dark Antique Brass Finish] DX0511DAB. The included tacks are too small and bright brass. These work much better, and are easier to remove or reposition.

These are amazing. I bought the durable fibreglass version. Well, I know it's not the normal fabric. The Velcro and the thumbtack like nails when used provide a durable attachment and prevents bugs from crawling in the sides. Don't rush installing it. From the top, begin from the middle to a side. Then make put up the other side to the top checking to be sure the magnets will fall in place from top to bottom. Now begin attaching the sides from the top down, do not pull the screen to tight you want a slightly loose screen so that the magnets will easily attach to each other after you pass through. I would buy the brand again.

I bought 2 of the durable fiberglass mesh and they work great. I use them for the garage doors. Great in reducing the number of insects from coming inside. I have 3 large pit bulls and a cat that have no problem getting and out. I've purchased a few of these curtains before from other vendors and weren't very satisfied so this time I upgraded to the durable fiberglass mesh and it looks and feels better than the and regular mesh. You'll get your money's worth with the durable mesh upgrade. Customer service was also great. I had a problem with the stitching one of them and through email they asked my opinion so I told them they'r good except for the stitching on one of so they sent a replacement within a few days. This one is the best screen on Amazon hands down

I purchased this screen after a multitude of failures with other screens after a month or two (whether it was because of the dogs or the husband) the others got caught or tore really easy. Sometimes when you were installing them they were a royal pain but not this one, in fact I still have last seasons screen still up in a high traffic area and its perfect, I came by to buy another one just to have an extra one on hand. I live rurally and have dogs that go in and out, I always have a bad back and getting up and down is very difficult for me and so I use this at our doorway (with the door open) to allow them access while keeping the flying insects at bay, works beautifully. Really love this one. I will update if anything changes or if there were any bait and switches but I just had to come back and say something here, if you are looking for a decent door screen this has performed perfectly across the board.

how smart. Not ethical

UPDATE: The vendor contacted me and provided a free item (this time the correct one), and it works great. My review is not about the product, but it is about how I was cheated by the seller (either Amazon or Homitt). I made extensive research before purchase, decided on Homitt, and saw the upgraded version and since the new one is fiberglass instead of nylon in the older version, I decided to order the upgraded version. When I opened the zipper bag to install it, I saw that I was sent the old version (as seen in the picture, the granularity of mash and mash pattern in general tells very clearly that this is the old version). More frustrating I recognized that the label on the zipper bag that identifies this as the upgraded version, was stick on top of an older label. And when I scrapped out the top label, I saw that the label under was identifying it as the older version. So, this is really cheating on us as customers. Just put the new label saying upgraded and ship the older product which is cheaper, how smart. Not ethical, and I am hugely disappointed with both Amazon and Homitt.

Adjustable, Good Quality -Love it!

Heavy duty, worth the little bit of extra money.. holding up to my dogs running in and out constantly. Mine is mounted on a metal door frame and my main door is metal. I have very little trouble with the magnets sticking to the door or frame instead of screen closing. The screen and magnets are heavy enough that it falls back in place. Nice option if you can't get a screen door. The Velcro goes all the way around the frame too..it's not little pieces like the cheap versions, the magnets are sewn into the fabric so they won't fall off either like the cheap ones. For a screen door option Im happy with it! I've used the $5 version, this is worth the few extra $$.

Excellent quality with condense net, and extra magnet to closing the screen gaps

Excellent quality! I've tried so many different door screens becsuse I move almost every year. Homigtee is by far the best quality door screen I ever had. I love the condense net, and the material quality surpass other brands, I also love they have extra magnets to keep the two screens closing without gaps. I ordered the 36" wide( I could have drop it to 34") but it's still installable. I am definitely going to buy again in future and I'll recommend it to my friends and family. I am so happy to find a great quality product! Thanks!!

Just what we needed

So happy with the first one, we bought a second. Dogs and people go in and out, and the magnets seal the gap together quickly so mosquitoes and flies stay out. The cat hasn't figured it out, which is great. He sits there like a muggle watching the wizards dogs blast thru Platform 9 3/4. Follow-up: Cat figured out how to escape. Dang.
