I'm 33 weeks pregnant and my feet get really swollen so I was looking for a sandal that was wide fitting and also light. This material is like a croc material. Super light. No blisters from wearing them and I did not need to break them in. I was also looking for a sandal that would provide arch support and for as light as these are, they have great support. I purchased the copper and I think the color is a little lighter than I thought was pictured, I thought they would be more brown. I am a size 9 and I ordered a 40. Fits perfect. Definitely going to order another pair/color.

Most comfortable shoe ever!

In the summers, I only wear these Gizeh Eva style especially after I had an accident last year injuring my ankle very badly. They’re extremely comfortable that I can walk for more than 3 hours with this Birkenstock Eva without feeling tired. I usually wear size 39 in shoes but for Gizeh Eva size 38 fits perfect. Also, as a recommendation, when you first get the shoe, it may fit a little tight even though it is “regular” fit. But with time and usage, the shape of the shoe gets the shape of your feet. So, yesterday I had the neon pink in size 38. Last year I had the white in 38. You can see the little size difference between the brand new one and the one year old one in the photos. Worth the Price$$ and great quality

After reading reviews and having personal recommendations this was my first time purchasing Birkenstocks. I'm Im extremely pleased with the quality of the shoes. I have already recommended them to family and friends. They are very comfortable and supportive to wear all day long, I can stand in them for 8 hours and have no foot or back pain. I also love that they are waterproof, I wear them gardening then just hose them off and they always come clean. They don't stretch out and are always a good fit. I found them high in price but after wearing them throughout the summer I would say they are 100% worth the price. I can tell they will have a long life span. Will be buying another pair in the future.

I love these sandals

I love these sandals!!!!! I read most of the reviews before purchasing and they were all very helpful when it came to deciding on which size to buy. I've never bought Birkenstocks before but I for sure will again in the future! I'm normally a size 9 (40) but after reading the reviews I found out they run a size bigger so I ordered an 8 (39) and they fit PERFECTLY!!! They are a plastic material similar to crocs! Super light weight and very comfortable! I Totally recommend buying this product! You won't be disappointed!

They hold up great, water proof and very comfortable

I had hoped for a blacker color but it is more of a gunmetal. Took a risk because black was out. I have purchased the cork ones for years. Saw the Eva ones and have been buying those instead. They hold up great, water proof and very comfortable.

So, sooo comfortable!

Despite having both grown up in Northern California, and having a German grandmother, I am NOT, and never have been, a Birkenstocks girl. I'm not even a sandals, or much of a flip-flop girl (except, you know, around an actual pool, or on the beach). But I've developed some severe foot and knee problems over the past few years, including severe arthritis and a loss of most of the cartilage in my knee, foot and ankle joints. I've tried/been trying all the usual, including drugs, PT, and surgery, but it's increasingly difficult to walk - and I need to! I'm planning a trip this summer which will include lots of walking. Several people and travel websites recommended these shoes. I resisted as long as I could (and have been trying all sorts of others) until, late one night, in a sleepless fit of desperation, I ordered them. When they arrived (it didn't take long), I was surprised (I'd completely forgotten). I took one look at them, pushed the box to the side, and rolled my eyes every time I walked by. (I don't care what anyone else thinks, by no stretch of my imagination can these be considered even vaguely attractive.) I finally, finally, broke down and tried them on - and was AMAZED. They are so, SO, comfortable! I could walk - with no pain! But I only walked around in them (in the house) for a few minutes before I was overcome by the dorky un-attractiveness of them. (Every time I looked down, I cringed.) Back in the box they went. But my feet (and my knees, and my legs) remembered... and eventually, they came out of the box for another try. Again. And again. And again. Until I caved and realized that there was NO WAY that I was returning these because they are SO D-MN COMFORTABLE! The footbed is supportive, with a raised arched support, a depressed heel 'cup' that keeps my foot aligned and my heel from sliding around, and there's a ridge running just under the base of my toes that provides a resting place, support, and security--my toes never have to make an effort to 'hang on.' The raised edge all around the shoe means my foot stays in place - no sliding from side to side, like in most sandals or flip-flops. My feet feel secure, safe, and supported. I can walk without pain - and without thinking about my shoes, or my feet. For now, I keep them by my bed, put them on first thing in the morning, and can WALK (not limp, hobble, or tiptoe) from the very first step I take! I've been wearing them since - even when it's really too cold to. (My UGGS, which I usually wear in the house, are feeling abandoned and neglected.) I haven't worn these out in the world yet, but have walked in both the rain on the wooden deck, and in the wet grass on the lawn. When wet, these DON'T slip, they DON'T slide, and they DO still feel secure. They're very lightweight, and they have a good tread on the bottom. It's easy to rinse them clean. I haven't made peace with walking around in public in these yet, but I've come to the realization that there is NO WAY that I'm going to Europe or anywhere else this summer without these! At least for the beach, and in the hotel room at the start and end of every day. Yes, I'm still afraid that my feet will get wider, and I'll end up looking like a Hobbit. But maybe I don't care anymore! (much) I admit it: I'm a (very reluctant, but now fervent) convert. Highly recommend. You may not even know how much you need these shoes! I typically wear a 7.5-8 (more and more often an 8, esp. in boots and running shoes). I ordered a 38 and they fit perfectly. I still think they're funny-looking, but I'm getting used to them. I can't believe that I'm turning into someone who is seriously considering wearing Birkenstocks with summer dresses. (The 82-year-old grandmother, on the other hand, thinks they look 'nice.' !!)

The item is pretty. Although I am a 39 on all birkenstock, on this GIZEH EVA I am a 38. It only has wide so it's a size smaller than you will usually buy. If you're a 39, buy the 38 and so on ..

This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn

This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn, no joke. I have terrible heel pain when I wear anything other than Birkenstocks, and wanted something more water-resistant than my leather and cork Mayaris for summer. I actually find the EVA Gizeh more comfortable than the traditional cork! All of the arch support there, plus the deep heel cup. At first I was worried about the plastic straps being too stiff, as they rubbed at the base of my big toe nail. But after only 2 wears they felt completely broken in. Also, these have actually held up better to heavy wear than my other Birks, and they are a fraction of the cost. Plus, the inside doesn't get all gross and smelly. I highly recommend these shoes if you have heel pain and are looking for something you can wear all day, every day.
