Amazing customer service

This is my second purchase. Bought one for my son’s birthday (age 6) and one for my daughter (since my son loved his so much he wouldn’t share). Worked great. Sound was amazing. The CDs played way louder than the dvds for some reason (which is fine). Have to always turn down the volume for CDs in case the neighbors think my 3 year old daughter is throwing a house party by herself. This pink one (my second purchase) worked great until about 3-4 weeks in. Now my first one was bought a few weeks prior to this one and still works perfect, so I think I just received a lemon of the bunch with this one. Sound quality was still great but the picture started to have this crazy lag. I’m talking “am I watching the matrix where you can see the bullet move in slow mo” lag - for the entire duration of whatever movie is in. Almost kind of looked like a potential for picture burn happening soon as well. Contacted the company via amazon and the replied VERY promptly. A customer service representative named Dom quickly and pleasantly helped me through the replacement process after hearing about my issue. He requested a video of the issue to help their quality team and promptly initiated the process for a replacement without having to send back the lemon. This conversation (via email) with the customer servive representative Dom happened on a Sunday and I received the replacement on Tuesday morning. Lightning fast. I am more than impressed. Tested out the replacement device and it works perfect. Would definitely do business again with this company. Amazing customer support. Highly recommended.

Great kids dvd

OMG! I absolutely love this DVD player and I have had several. My young one loves the color pink so she was super excited. She was more inclined to watch her educational videos because of the color. I love how you can use it in your car or take it on the go. I would love to see how long it holds up. The remote is handy. I will say other companies include batteries but that is not a deal breaker. The DVD was packaged well and in great condition. The price point was reasonable too. It would be nice to have a pink one without the princess but my little one loves it.

Awesome Video Player & Service

Purchased the player for great grandchild and it has proven to be exactly as described by DBPower. It works wonderfully, crystal clear picture, easy to use and the ability to fold it flat while playing a DVD, to avoid "little fingers" pushing buttons is a huge plus. I contacted customer service to activate the warranty and was extremely impressed with the efficiency of Yna, who was pleasant and quickly activated the warranty. I chose DBPower's item based on prior Amazon reviews of superior customer service ... and my interaction with Yna proved that to be accurate.

Very happy with this purchase

This little device arrived better packaged than anything I’ve ever ordered. It’s a solid little player that has great sound and video quality. It makes a purring sound when the dvd starts playing but was not distracting after the movie started. I don’t know what the battery life will be like because we just charged it up and played 1 movie today but so far, so good. I ordered this for my granddaughter for those times when she is in the car for longer trips and I’m certain she will love it.

Great product! I was searching for a toddler friendly DVD player for an upcoming flight because my 2 year old constantly pushed pause when watching on a tablet and our car DVD players don't have batteries. What I love most about this DVD player is the ability to rotate the screen and hide all of the buttons from her little fingers but still control it with a remote.

We love this!!

Kids LOVE this DVD player, so much that they are fighting over it!!! I may have to purchase another one. We do a lot of traveling so this is going to be perfect for the airplane. They don't have their favorite movies on the iPad and instead they are on dvd. I did purchase a splitter for headphones so that they can both listen at the same time. It seems to be pretty durable and I love that the screen turns in all different directions. I really like that it is extremely easy for them to navigate themselves. I have 2 girls so they really like that it is pink and has a princess on it! This would really be a great gift for any kid. I would purchase this again and recommend it.

Better for kids entertainment than any tablet

I love this DVD player! I have some iPads and fire tablets, but this DVD player easily beats them at least for my purposes. I needed something for my daughter in the car. You do not need an internet connection or an unlimited data plan with this player. Also, when the battery dies, you can plug it in with the car adapter it comes with, no disgruntled children! Another thing I’ve found is that dvds are a dime a dozen at goodwill, and I bought all of those Disney movies on the PlayStation for full price. Sigh . . . Another benefit is that the screen won’t shatter into a thousand pieces of it gets dropped against the right hard surface like my iPad. For the cost to have the screen repaired I could buy three DVD players without the aggravation of waiting in line at the Apple store. I bought my daughter a fire tablet as well, but it also can’t match this DVD player because my daughter gets very frustrated when she inadvertently hits the navigation bar which is positioned to be exactly where you would accidentally hit it the most. This renders the tablet unuseable until she gets older. Meanwhile, this dvd can be kept out of reach and comes with a remote :). I was hesitant to purchase this because I have every fancy tech toy and have managed to resist buying one of these portable DVD player until now. However, this player fits the needs of my daughter better than all that stuff at a fraction of the cost. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this again.

Very Satisfied customer!!

My Granddaughter LOVES the DBPOWER pink DVD player and the customer service is AMAZING!! I ordered on Tuesday night and received it on Saturday, I immediately opened it and plugged it up for a charge as we're going on a family vacation soon. I found there was a problem it played wonderfully as long as it was plugged to a power source (wall plug & car charger) but would not take a charge... I emailed the company and they immediately e-mailed me back and sent a new one out overnight and I received it the next day!! I've never had such prompt service! So hassle free! I WILL use this company again for sure (maybe Christmas gifts for my little ones and, my teens just not pink Lol) I love that the player can be set to memory and starts back up where it left off at, its a major PLUS!! None of the children want their movies and shows starting from the beginning all over everytime we stop, sadly before I found this wonderful company we bought two other brands and they start over every time, thru all the commercials and ads... That can be VERY annoying especially for the littlest ones.. As an added bonus they've offered to send me a car holder for the new DVD player, I've read they do this very often with their customers and I know it's a welcome gift, because we've had several players for our cars and they really help if you don't have built -in players (as I've had those too) so I am one happy Nana!! ❤. thanks again Nancy. 🎀

great value

I am updating this review because of the exceptional customer service I received. Originally gave this player a 3 star because it did not come with a headrest mount and there is another player that looks very similar that comes with the mount. However, after reading the description again, I realized it does not state that it comes with the mount so the product description is accurate. The player itself is well worth the money. It is easy to use. It comes with several cords for various things (charger, aux cables to plug it into the tv, etc). It has a handy remote. The screen swivels. Kids LOVE it and they can work it by themselves. Just be aware that if you need a headrest mount, this may not be the best option for you as there is another one for a couple of dollars more that has the mount. This is not a huge issue for me as I really just plan to use it at home but it may be a deal breaker for you. They are fairly inexpensive if you decide you need one in the future though. Again, customer service has been exceptional (they have emailed me right away 3 times and offered to make things right even though they did not do anything wrong to begin with so I turned down their offer.

Great portable DVD player for the price!

I love this DVD player! I researched them heavily on amazon for a player that we could take in the car. I was pretty picky. It needed a remote. Because my daughters baby Einstein is a short 25min film and for car rides we needed to replay it without stopping the car. Remote included! It also needed to have a car charger for those car rides - also included. Then I wanted to be able to take it inside so she could have it going on in the background in her play room. A wall charger is also included! It also has usb and an sd card slot - although we’ve yet to use them this is an awesome little feature! Great for playing little slideshow projects on your usb. Or that’s what I’d use it for! I love the pink color - and honestly wasn’t a fan of the princess on it but it’s girly! I actually have two of these players that are identical. We now have one in the car and one in the house. And both we bought the additional car headrest mount holder. I use one in the car obviously. And I strap the other to her baby gate and mount the DVD player there. So she can look but not touch the player. This has seriously saved our sanity in car rides! Now she can be comforted by her movies! The pictures I’ve included are from unboxing our newest one. And I’ve also shown the swivel screen feature! But if anyone is looking for an affordable DVD player I’d definitely recommend this one.
