use 2 inch rule, 2" bigger in waist, 2" smaller in length. just like dress pants sizing.

After wearing commercial quality work pants as an automotive tech for 40 years these are VERY nice ! Excellent fit with room for movement along with some belt loops that are placed closer together and are extra wide and strong. I wear a wilderness survival belt everyday and it fits these loops like a dream. I will be ordering several more pair for everyday wear. They also wash and clean up just like I expected from this quality company !! No fade ..no tatters no loos stitching and no shrinkage. They may cost a few dollars more but to me are well worth it ! I am not easy on pants . I got new uniforms every year because mine were falling apart. Maybe our uniform company should have been using this brand instead.

Fits great and is surprisingly breathable in the heat. Passable as "business casual" dress work pant when paired with button down shirt. Flex fabric much more comfortable that previous version. Wish these came in more colors.

I purchased color Charcoal in my normal size 33Wx30L and it fits perfectly as the original one. The flexible fabric gives comfortably movement yet not stretch or sagging like stretchy jeans which I like.

Have worked in machine shop gear cutting for 42yrs. Always have bought Dickies work clothes. Always great quality The End.

Same look as the original but more comfort!!! The material is lighter and I assume not a durable but still durable anough. The flex is minimal but just enough so they are not hip huger. Will buy again!!!

I ordered these because I wanted a pair of durable and comfortable pants anywhere. I am tired of wearing super slim pants/jeans that have little to no space in the thigh. These can be dressed up with a button-down shirt for work, or worn with a T-shirt for a skate session. The pants definitely run small in the waist. I wear 32x32 in everything, however with these I ordered a 34x32 and they fit perfect. For some reason, I remember 874s being considered baggy but these are not at all. I have thicker than average thighs (pause) and these fit just right. The waist does come up high to your belly button (not low rise), but I find it's more comfortable that way with plenty of crotch room for your genitals. The length is just right, however I will mostly wear them cuffed for style. I ordered the dark navy and it is a very very deep dark blue, but you can still tell it's not black. The material is not super duper stiff like the 874 originals are, the flex seems to be a softer material but in no way do they stretch. This is THE classic pair of pants. Order a pair of 874s. The only reason you won't like them is if you want a slimmer fit. If so, try the 873 but there is no crotch room.

No one ever warned me years ago that some men are "HARD ON EVERYTHING". Yes, break tools, break their bodies and rip, stain and wear through clothes. Yes. One pair of farm and ranch heavy duty levi's, gone in one half of one day. I don't feels to bad about these work pants. I can use Dawn straight on them in very hot water and they come pretty clean. Gear oil doesn't count but everyday grease is fine. House paint, well it depends on how dry and days old the paint is.. Many times a good overnight soak and HD washing and it will come out. I am very happy with these pants. Reasonable in price. easy care, nary a wrinkle, and they last. The nice thing is they are cool to wear in the hot summer months but roomy enough for long johns in the winter. I think that I wold buy several more pairs. I have two pairs now and neither are torn up or stained to the point it embarrasses me. So, if you have one of those of those type of men or women in your life, these may work for you!

I ordered these for my husband who is an arborist and needs a lot of give and durability in his pants. He loves dickies but had a issue with them ripping fairly quickly in the crotch from all the climbing, squatting and lifting. These flex fit pants have changed the game. He is able to squat, stand, and climb very comfortably and they are holding up great. I'll update when they finally bite the dust to see if they lasted any significant amount of time longer then traditional dickies

I've been wearing different brands of work pants for the past 29 years. being an auto mechanic i have worn various brands mainly from the different Uniform suppliers. G&K, Unifirst, Cintas. All are si miller in style and all fit inconsistently. Dickies once you know the sizing I have found to be extremely consistent. Dickies also have the best fit, not too loose and not too tight. Just enough room in the legs and thighs to make all day comfort in a variety of situations be it sitting, standing, bending or squatting. A few year back i picked up my first pair of Dickies, the original 874. The original is a bit heftier in material that the uniform company ones. The key to the original to get them soft and wearable right away is to soak them in a bucket of salt water for 24 to 48 hours and then give them a wash or two.It is equivilent to about 20 washes which is basically what it takes otherwise to have the Original soft. With the Flex 874 they feel weight wise somewhere between the thinner Un iform company style Red Kap, etc) and the Original 874. They feel like the original at about twenty washed, nice and soft right off the shelf. Flex is just right for this style as any more and you would probably be looking and feeling like you were wearing athleisure stretch pants. The Flex maintains the exact look of the Original and you absolutely can't tell the difference by looks. The difference comes in comfort level. these are so much better than the original and that is saying a lot because the original is good. Durability wise i am not concerned in the least. Even the cheaper Uniform company ones i rarely ever had more than a hole in a knee after maybe three years of indiustrial washing service. The key to Dickies is that they run literally two sizes small in the waist. length is spot on but waist you want to size up two sizes. I am normally a 31 waist and depending on time of year might be as low as 30 1/2 to 31 1/2 because 30's are almost always too tight and 32's are generally require a belt. Dickies in 32 became too tight, they feel like 30's. I switched to 33 in Dickies waist and they fit beautiful.
