Moments of Joy and escape

Oh thank goodness for these. I couldn't stand the cushioning included with the Oculus, just felt uncomfortable and would have to take a break every 30ish minutes. These are so comfortable that I can play longer and escape the tired, mundane, slow march to death that has become my life.

The fabric on these feel a lot better than the oculus default padding

You will need one of these to keep your headset from smelling like sweat. In the the package you get two face covers and instructions on how to install it. The face overs themselves are kind meh but it does what it needs to to.

Very nice

Easy to put in, idk what the others seem to be having trouble with. I bought these to use when playing with other people. I did not intend to use them for just myself, but I will be. Added bonuses I wasn't expecting: 1. It's a 2 pack, I didn't see that in the description anywhere so I was only expecting 1. 2. It makes playing tremendously more comfortable. 3. When using the rift it will leave a mark in your face after playing. It goes away eventually but it was still annoying (looks silly). Waiting for the mark to go away is often postpone going to the store or the like. Not anymore. With this I receive no mark, even after 30 minutes or so (longest I play at a time is about 30 minutes).

Increases comfort with a couple of small drawbacks

I waited until I had played a dozen or so hours in VR with these on to really give a proper opinion on them. I'll get the positive out of the way right away; for me it really increases the comfort of wearing the headset. It feels better against my skin and deals with sweat much better than what you get with the Oculus Rift. So onto the small drawbacks -- small in my opinion at least. First they are a little bit tricky to get on and get the foam piece to snap back into the Rift but once you get the hang of it it's fine. Second, and perhaps the bigger drawback, is that sometimes it blocks my breathing and while the Oculus Rift lenses are pretty good about not fogging up it does occasionally happen. At the price I think they are great and hopefully a direction future headsets will go in.

Perfect Solution to HMD Mask Red Face

I don't usually don't leave reviews but felt this product was worthy. I bought my Oculus during the summer 2017 sale and after spending a few days with Oculus (in stock form) my face around my eyes and cheeks were noticeably red. I also found the stock mask foam to be uncomfortable after prolonged use. I decided to give this item a try. I don't know why people are complaining about this product but it accomplishes its goals (1) HMD mask red face syndrome is greatly reduced (2) it feels more comfortable to the face vs the stock foam. Not super amazing comfortable but comfortable enough where you don't really notice it, and (3) it's easy to install. Just take the stock plastic insert out, fit this on over the existing foam., put back into place. Done. No hassle or modifications needed. I really don't care about the hygene part since I don't sweat from wearing the Oculus but it's nice to know a 2nd backup is included in the package.in cause you have sweaty friends.

Good purchase. Little strange to get back into shape after washing, but works well, and helps a LOT with sweat.

They are a little awkward to put on, but work well. The challenge is after you wash it. They come out of the washer all turned in strange directions, and it takes some effort to adjust the folds to be back to the correct shape. Note that these DO NOT replace the existing foam on the Oculus, they are a cover that goes OVER the foam, making the headset more comfortable, and better absorbing sweat. They can end up occasionally blocking the sensor that detects if you ware wearing the headset, which results in it turning on the displays. This is not a big deal, and I can just put my finger in there and move the cover a tiny bit, and the displays then turn off. Minor issue. Kind of expensive for what it is, but, it's a good purchase that I'm happy I made, and if I could do it over, I'd buy them again. Especially good for those VR games that you get sweaty with.

Always wear protection!

The number one benefit is that it helps keep superfluous light near the bridge of my nose out while in VR! Comfy and I love it.

Here's how to decide if this product is for you or not:

Alright, I am going to help you decide if you should buy this or not. 1. Find a cotton t-shirt. Now put it on your face. Pretty comfortable, right? Not AMAZINGLY comfortable, but they make t-shirts out of cotton for a reason. So here's the million dollar question: is it MORE or LESS comfortable TO YOU than the foam on the Oculus? I personally found the Oculus foam itchy and mildly annoying. Other people love it. If it's worth $20 to you to have the cotton feel on your face rather than the foam feel, you should get this product. If not, don't. For me, it absolutely is. 2. I had no problem fitting this onto the Rift without any modification...the second time. The instructions are not great, and the first one (of the two it ships with) I ended up cutting to fit. They do fit, but after playing with the second one I realized I can fit them on without cutting it. My advice is to ignore the instructions and play with it until you get it to fit perfectly. You are now informed enough to decide if you would be happy with this product. Have a great day!

True Comfort

This cover fits my Oculus Rift perfectly! It adds to the overall comfort on the Rift, especially from the reduced pressure on my face after wearing it for a long while. It’s soft, looks great, and worth the investment. If you’re on the fence, know that this is a significant quality of life update to any Rift. Note: Check the VRCover website for a video showing how to apply this to the Rift. The included instructions are a bit vague, so the video clarified what to do.

Like a pillow for your face

As my title suggested, it's like a pillow for your face. The padding in this cover was just what I was looking for. My face shield has a dense foam on it that was digging into my face and leaving black rings on me. With this cover over my shield I no longer get the pinching or the black rings. I haven't tried to wash them yet but I assume it's as easy as putting them in the washing machine and then letting them air dry. Over all, great product. I highly recommend it for it's ease of use and reliability. Thank you so much.
