I am rating this 5 stars for what it is. I am not rating it against full sized, high-powered vacuum cleaners, as I purchased this without the expectation that it would work as well as they so. Honestly, I’m not sure why anyone would have that expectation. This is not the type of product I would use for heavy cleaning, so my review is not based on that sort of usage. Anyway, this Bissell stick vac is extremely quick and easy to assemble. It’s so lightweight, as well. My intended purpose for this product was to easily remove things like dust and hair from my upstairs bathroom floor and counter. I did not wish to have to lug my heavy main vacuum cleaner upstairs on a daily or near daily basis for this purpose. The Bissell’s quick and easy conversion from floor vac to hand vac makes dealing with both the floor and the counter very fast and easy. It quickly picks any hair, dust, baby powder, etc., helping to keep my upstairs bathroom in good shape between heavier cleanings. It conveniently does exactly what I hoped it would do.

It's so tiny and light and thin, you'd think it would be bad. But it's great! I bought it for work in a preschool classroom. We use it everyday over the carpet and tiled areas. It picks up really well and is so light its easy to move around, push, and swivel. My co worker liked it so much she bought one for her home. Need something light that works - this is it. Oh, and not having the brush has been great. We don't have to spend time every few days cutting all that hair out that would otherwise be wrapped around it. Wasn't sure it would work well without the brush, but it does.

This little sweeper does an excellent job of picking up literally everything, dog hair, dust, little pieces of debris etc. The suction is powerful gets into corners beautifully and the filter is very easy to change and clean. I am especially amazed at the amount of dog hair it picks up. The photo is from one floor, my living room floor.

This little lightweight vacuum is totally brilliant! Easily fitted together out of the box. And perfect for a quick and easy vacuum of tiled bath / kitchen floors and staircases! Cleaning the dirt tank is a bit awkward as just vacuumed up bits and dust can fly about unless you're careful (and then it still might). But it is SO wonderful to just easily grab this vacuum and go (versus hauling out broom and dustpan with a sweep/shovel here and there), which gets under tables and around chairs with ease. Also love pulling off the bit with wheels so use as a lightweight hand vacuum is very easy...easier in fact and more facile than the hose attachment on my big heavy standard vacuum. Finally thing I totally love, it's powerful enough to perfectly sweep my oriental carpets but so lightweight that it doesn't leave tracks in the nap or pull out tufts (as my other vacuum does).

This was a Christmas gift for my 2yo so she could clean "like mommy" but her neat freak grandfather and I have basically confiscated it. It works really well! I've owned other stick vacuums but this one is by far the best I have ever used. Super lightweight (like 2lbs). It even picks up rice effortlessly. Rolls nicely across the hardwood and manuevers beautifully. It has great suction where you can literally see it pulling in dust bunnies around the head of the vacuum. Its super slender and you can get under furniture with it pretty well laying the handle almost flat on the floor before the head of the vacuum lifts up. Not quiet but not very loud either. Bagless and easy to empty. The only complaint I have is that I wish the cord was longer. I would absolutely buy this vacuum 100 more times.

I wanted a vacuum cleaner for small jobs so I wouldn't have to haul out my trusty 30-year-old Hoover Spirit, and so I wouldn't have to bend over with the dust buster, because I have a bad back, and a bad shoulder, and I can't afford help. So I bought one of these solely on the recommendation of the agent who managed getting my daughter her first apartment. I figured that for $25, how could I go wrong? So the box arrived, and it sat around for a few weeks, because I'm a fantastic house cleaner, but a lousy house keeper. Finally opened it and used it today. First: Assembly is so easy! By the time you're finished reading the instructions, your two-year-old will have it together and be riding it around like an imaginary horsie. Basically, you put the handle in one end, plug the attachment into the other end, and you're good to go. Second: this really is made for small jobs. It's just a glorified dust buster with a long handle and two attachments. It does hard floors like a boss. I tried it on wood, linoleum, and slate tile, and it did great. It wasn't so great on my rugs. I have one with about 3/4" pile and one that's mostly flat, and it didn't pick up very well, and it was hard to move it. So I go back to the ceremonial Setting Up of the Hoover Spirit for the rugs. Not a big deal, to me. Third: the power cord is short, because this is made for small jobs. All of my rooms are small, so it's not a problem for me, but if you have bigger rooms (more than 12' in any direction), it won't reach all the way across. My house was built by some guy who really believed he knew how to build houses, and he must have really loved electrical outlets, because seriously, there's one about every 6-10 feet. So I don't have a problem figuring out where to plug in this vacuum. Fourth: it's as easy to empty as any dust buster. Fifth: like a dust buster, it blows air, but it comes out the front of the unit and blows at about a 90 degree angle to the vacuum, so it doesn't blow dust all around. It did surprise a few of the resident spiders who have webs in the corners of my ceiling. (They eat their weight and more in biting insects and house moths; they never bother me; they are more than welcome!) I don't think the exhaust contains dust, either, because I'm highly allergic and it didn't make me sneeze. To make a long story short: This device is good for small jobs, hard floor surfaces, is easy to assemble, easy to clean.

I was very skeptical about this little vacuum cleaner especially once I removed it from the box and put it together because it looks cheaply made. Based on other reviews, I thought I would give it a try anyway. Wow!..I was very surprised it worked very well! I ended up vacuuming my entire living room, kitchen, 1/2 bath, yes, it does floors as well. It didn't feel like a burdensome chore because I didn't have to Lug around a heavy vacuum cleaner like our other one we have. This was super light and easy to maneuver. I thought I would be selling my heavier and more clunky Bissell vacuum cleaner but I'll keep it because it has the hose that can reach my ceiling and tight corners where this can't. I have to agree with a few others that the cord is a bit shorter but not an issue hooking up to a closer outlet.

This little vacuum is small, lightweight but also MIGHTY! I actually purchased it for my son’s 2nd birthday because he’s always trying to vacuum with my larger, heavier Dyson and I don’t want him to break it and he struggles with it because it’s pretty heavy for a 2 year old. Well, I’ve now come to really enjoy this little Bissell. It’s so easy to use! It’s really light weight and so pulling it out to vacuum up things I notice here and there isn’t a big deal and so therefore I actually DO IT! Also, my son, believe it or not, vacuums up a lot while he’s “playing” with it. I simply don’t attach the longer handle while he uses it because it’s the perfect length for him without it. I recommend this vacuum for anyone with small children, anyone looking to take the hassle out of vacuuming up smaller jobs here and there and to those who perhaps have an injury or weakness that prohibits them from using heavier vacuums.

Where has this been my whole life?! It’s like a powerful Dustbuster with a long handle so perfect for little crumbs. I have hardwood floors throughout my house and only carpet in the kids bedrooms with 1 rug in the family room. I rarely brought out the vacuum because it was big and bulky. I would sweep multiple times a day and still felt like the floors were still dirty. I had a Roomba at one point but our dog decided it was an intruder and “took care of the problem”. Pros: -lightweight (3.4lbs) -works on all flooring types -easy to empty -bagless -turns into handheld -attachment for crevices like between couch cushions. -not as loud as regular vacuum -sucks up items as large as Cheerios Cons -short cord (15ft) -no hook or anything to hang it on a wall for storage -small collection chamber but it’s a little vacuum so it’s expected! All in all, this is great for a quick run around the house and picks up crumbs, dog hair and snacks left behind by little ones!

Perfect! This little guy is amazing, works great for dog hair and my small apartment. I have a doberman that sheds A LOT and it was always such a pain the try and sweep the hair out of corners and get behind the tv, but this little Bissell makes the clean up so easy. It's very light, so you can lift it to get those annoying cob webs and dust in the ceiling corners and hard to reach spots. I love how it can work as a regular push vacuum and a hand held. I would highly recommend for a small house/apartment and pet hair, may need an extension cord for larger rooms.
