We have two kids. Our oldest is three, and this is the fourth baby monitor we’ve owned since we became parents. We recently returned the Arlo baby monitor because it just wasn’t working for us. We immediately turned around and purchased this one! We haven’t had it for long, but we LOVE this monitor! This is absolutely everything we needed from a baby monitor. We haven’t had a need to test a large range, but we have had no issues carrying it around our 1400sqft home. Pros: - Simple and easy to understand and get the hang of. - Very big screen. - Good image and audio. - Very small lag. - Battery doesn’t drain fast when off the charger. - Large range for the camera to shift and rotate when you desire a better view. - Screen will auto shut off after a certain time to save battery, but you can still hear. (You can adjust the auto shut off time) - Ability for the screen to shut off means your own bedroom can stay dark during the night without constant screen light. Cons: - I think our temperature reader is off by several degrees, but I just keep this in mind when I glance at the screen. - Doesn’t come with a mount of any type. This is the only thing I would change! We are so pleased with this purchase! We plan to buy an additional camera very soon.

My first monitor was motorola which i was happy with that but after 2years of use i wanted to upgrade and get a new one with better night vision. Anyway i went with a different brand through amazon which had the best reviews ! (Which i regretted it because it turnt to be the worst monitor) after i returned the other brand i purchased this monitor and im glad i did! I decided not to pay attention to the bad reviews because i saw it doesnt really matter since the monitor i got prior to that was consider the best and ended up being crappy! Im glad i didnt pay attention to the reviews! Not sure why peoppe give bad reviews here.! Il planning to purchase a second camera also(actually its cheaper to buy the whole camera/monitor) plus side is that if my kids disconnect it it can work for fee hours being unplugged. The only thing i wish it had was the time like my first motorola! I love the big screen also

Have to have this. Loved that I can attach the camera and not have to put holes in the wall like with out last monitor. Motorola does a really bad job of advertising this additional product in its original packaging of monitors and I think they would make a killing if they offered a mention of it in the start guide as it took some research on my part to find out what I was supposed to use with my motorola video camera. This screws into the bottom of the camera and is completely adjustable and can be "wrapped" around a towel bar, coat hood, crib etc. Bought two.

I’ve had this monitor for about two years now and it is really good. Not sure why it doesn’t have more stars. We use in my pottery studio to monitor the temperature of kiln when in the house. It keeps its connection well and the zoom feature lets me see the kiln controllers little monitor really well. It also pans and tilts easily so I can look around other parts of the studio. The large screen is great. And the resolution is good for seeing details. Some of the workings to make setting changes could be better but we’ve figured out how to set everything as needed. If I needed another camera this one would still be on my list.

Very nice product. Wish they would advertise you could wall mount it. I've added pictures showing how easy it is to wall mount to get that perfect picture you need. Very sturdy piece.

We got probably 7 or 8 different monitors and we finally landed on this one! And I love it! Now it isn’t perfect but it had the least amount of cons of all the monitors we tried. We wanted on with two cameras (we bought the extra camera to hook up) for our twins. I had a lot of specifics when looking. I love that I can split screen and still have volume(one we tried had no volume when split screen). I think the screen is pretty clear (some we tried were pretty bad). One problem we have sometimes is one camera doesn’t switch to night mode easily but all we have to do is go in cover the sensor for a second and then it is good. Not a big deal and doesn’t happen all the time. Also I didn’t love that we couldn’t hang them directly on the wall. They come with these other things to hook them too. We ended up buying something else to hang them. It was only like $7 for both. Also the temperature also seems to be higher then the room actually is. But again not the worst thing. Full price these are expensive which I really didn’t want to spend that much but I’m so glad we did get them. I’ve been really happy with them.

When I was looking for baby monitors I came across this product. Reading the specs and looking at the pictures of the monitors I was a bit disappointed because the resolution and the picture quality looked terrible. However, after using it for about 18 months, I am impressed with the product. Thinking about it, I can understand why the screen resolution is what it is - it is to save power and make the monitor run longer. You do not need a HD picture of your baby sleeping. You just need to know what they are doing and if they are crying, but you don't need to see their beautiful face in HD. I would much rather my monitor have a long battery life rather than a high resolution picture. The rage of the monitor is fine. It works well in our town house. Sometimes the monitor does not connect immediately, but then I turn it off and back on and then it works. The night vision is good (the picture looks the same as a day picture). It serves our purpose well, and I have no complaints. I just hope it lasts many more years to come.

We have owned way too many Motorola baby monitors and indoor WiFi cameras through the years. We have 7 kids and have had all kinds of set ups (and issues). Motorola has seemingly put out gobs if video baby monitors (and home WiFi enabled cameras) all at the same time. Most had the same functions and were nearly identical, but they just kept making more and more without good engineering. It seems this company has been more interested in quantity of products over quality. That has been a disappointment because they DO have great concepts, but there seems to be lack of testing and quality control. Their Hubble App is a good example. We have paid it monthly for years with promise of improvement with shoddy results. The same goes for baby monitors. We long used the original MBP36, but we had to keep replacing broken cameras, cords and batteries. We then tried the Focus360 indoor outdoor bundle which was essentially the same product (bought on sale), but the near identical mbp36 cameras couldn’t be used. It had the normal flaws and I didn’t have luck finding a second camera and we really needed one again. I should mention we have also used the CONNECT85 WiFi only monitor in our playroom (major issues with connectivity, the Hubble app and the cord breaking). I still didn’t want to give up on Motorola (we have used them since 2011), and recently bought the dual monitor/WiFi setup with two cameras and that didn’t work at all and was returned. I decided to buy TWO of THESE systems from Warehouse Deals for $33 each (huge bargain) and just use one monitor with two cameras paired. So far, near perfection! I am loving the bigger screen and look of the new parent device. I like the sleek look of the cameras. They are responsive. I also appreciate that you can do a split screen and view more than one room at a time. I haven’t figured out how to have it in split screen mode and toggle between sound on both cameras? You are able to take it off split screen mode and it will toggle both picture and sound every few seconds. I am not sure if I am missing something or if that isn’t possible? I am awaiting help to this and will update if I figure it out! So far, this product seems much better made. Fingers crossed!

One of the more important things to know is if you have 2 monitors you cannot view the same camera from both monitors at the same time. Which isn’t really necessary but would be a nice feature when you have more than 1 caregiver at a time. I recommend this system to everyone I know with children, and people who are caregivers etc. You can maneuver the camera from the monitor, you can speak into the monitor, the audio quality is terrific on both sides, there are many other functions to the system as well. Be sure when you get additional cameras that they are compatible with your monitor. I have also given this as a gift and it is a huge hit!

First, this came with the star grip in the box. I was pleasantly surprised and very happy to find this. Other reviews lead me to believe I'd have to order this separately. Second, the clarity of the MBP36XL is fantastic! We returned the MBP855 before this and returned the MBP855 for two reasons: 1) the Hubbl app for the iPhone 7 sucked--it rarely worked as it was supposed to and was incredibly slow to load… if it ever did; and 2) we had issues with the micro USB charger port on the camera--it took 5 minutes to make sure it was connected. Also, the camera only had about 1 hour of battery life. We both think the video quality is way better on the MBP36XL than the MBP855. Also, the camera holds its charge for a long time. Legitimately in the 2-3 hour range. Speaking of range, there are no dead zones in our 2 story house. The monitor works outside, in the basement, and even in the garage when the camera is in the second floor.
