I purchased a box with a clear plastic top, and mounted the controller in it on the deck, making it waterproof. I then mounted a toggle switch on the side of the box, allowing me to turn the power off completely. My LED connections are dry, and will stay that way. The small size of the controller is ideal for such projects.

This was a replacement for an original malfunctioning unit (would drop off of my router for no reason). Nexlux was very helpful when I had issues and sent a replacement out right away. The replacement unit has worked flawlessly so far. Very happy with the product and especially the service - Thank you Nexlux.

This is as good as it gets for a 5050 RGB controller. The functionality of the app is amazing. I'm able to custom make lighting sequences with the app that blow the pre-made sequences on standard remotes away. Both controller and app work excellent on WiFi, and it was super easy to setup. Had an issue with the included remote, but seller promptly sent a replacement for free. 5 stars all the way.

This controller was very easy to set up with the Home Assistant open source home automation system. In lights.yaml ( i found the address in my router's attached devices screen): - platform: flux_led devices: 192.168.1.126: name: rgb1 mode: "rgb" In groups.yaml, pick a group you want to see the light in, and add this line: - light.rgb1 put a test event in automations.yaml: - id: sunrise alias: Sun Rise trigger: platform: numeric_state entity_id: sun.sun value_template: '{{ state.attributes.elevation }}' above: -1.0 action: - service: light.turn_on data: entity_id: light.rgb1 rgb_color: [74, 18, 0] brightness: 30 When the light shows up in overview, click on the light name, and home assistant will bring up a color palette with which you can set the color and brightness.

Works fine, connects to LED strip lights via 4 pin connection, and enables control from a phone or smart home device (using Google Home Mini - no personal experience with others). Quite a snazzy piece of hardware. Be warned that this doesn't come with an AC adapter. It's not a problem, but just be aware. You will need either something like item B01N05C85K to split an existing LED strip power adapter to use with this one too (assuming you are below the max length of lights it can handle and are just adding another controller for a difference section) or another power adapter (item B071FSWH5P). Also, I'm not sure why but the seller doesn't allow more than one of these per purchase as of Jan 2018 - I had to spread these out over several purchases to get the desired number of controllers.

I can't post pictures, this is due to my personal nature rather than the product. The first thing I did when I got this was take it apart. I soldered the led strip directly to the controller, and then the lights flipped out. Not in a bad way mind you just as a "hey your controller is working" kinda way. Good great grand, whatever I have used controllers before my question was "Does it work us-ably with Alexa?". The Answer Yes, the method was slightly wacky in that you have to sign up for another cloud service. Unlike other cloud services that I have used the "pause" with this controller was minimal maybe half a second, compared to two-five seconds with other devices. Name it something easy that sounds lingual with the commands, "Alexa turn Kitchen LEDs Red". If at first it doesn't work rename it in the app.

I replaced the wireless remote that came with the lights and installed these. They're incredible! I connected the remote with my home WiFi without a hitch. Within minutes I was controlling my four wire led string. The list of things this controller can do is long and impressive. My favorite trick is pointing my cell phone at something colorful and having the led string instantly display that color. Well worth the money

I bought this controller to use with a strip that I bought a few years ago. The order of the color pins on the strip did not match the order of the color pins on the controller. This would have been a real pain, and had I noticed it before the purchase I probably would not have bought this. I'm lucky that I didn't notice because it wasn't an issue and this is a great controller, with great support. (in my experience) A little while after I bought this controller I got an email from the seller asking how it was going for me. I hadn't even installed it yet (I can be slow in knocking out my "honey do" list). But something in that email queued me in to the different color order issues. I responded asking about it and received a response from the seller with instructions on how to adjust the pins to match the color channel order on my strip. After I opened the box I noticed that the instructions that came with the controller also included instructions on adjusting the pin order. The instructions weren't the most clear to me in general, but a little tinkering and it wasn't too hard to figure out. I enjoyed the smartphone app, and adjusted brightness, and color, and some of the different color changing modes. I'm seriously considering installing more color strips to be controlled by this controller for the music-response feature. That sounds like a fun party to me. (maybe not everyone, but sounds fun to me). Honestly, though, the killer feature has been the integration with my Google Home. Once all the hardware was in place I took a leisurely stroll through the instructions and the phone app to explore the features, and within about 30 minutes or so I had the color pin order issue fixed, the smartphone app installed and connected, and the controller connected to my Google Home. Now I control this light almost exclusively through voice. FYI if you do need to change the color order it does not revert back to a factory default when power is removed. It appears to set a setting in the firmware that does not need a power source to stay set. The instructions aren't the best, the smartphone app isn't the most beautiful. But for functionality, reliability (so far. I've had it installed about 2 months), and certainly for value per $ This is a great controller. As my honey do list progresses I'm sure I'll be purchasing more.

Nexlux really hit a homerun with their WiFi wireless LED smart controller!! I use this handy device to control several different LED strip lights involved in my rookie desk set up. This remote is so good, it has never, NOT ONCE failed when turning it on/switching colors to match my monitor display. Not only can I control via an app which is installed on 3 different devices, I have a smart hub which i have linked to a universal remote control for entertainment center and guess what? I programmed it to control my strip lights as well!! BUT it does not stop there. I use my google home mini assistant to control them too. This is all made possible thanks to the wide compatibility of this WiFi remote. That's right, i use tablets, cell phone, my voice and a universal remote meant for TV to power my LED lights by connecting them to the WiFi remote. I definitely geeked out when i realized the potential this has...and again when it all worked!! I would buy this again and again but dont have to be it just always works. I'm very happy with this gadget and I'd recommend it to anyone who is thinking about making this part of their set up!
