Got it for my young son - he loved sitting on it- how it rolled easy to carr, fits a lot. Very durable - it tumbled down about 70 steps and not a dent. People at the airport wanted to know what brand it was that held up so good and did not break or open. Highly recommend!

Best affordable carry-on luggage! I typically buy my luggage from Ross, Marshall's, or Burlington Coat Factory. The prices typically range from $69-$89 for medium to large suitcases. This was my first time looking for a carry-on luggage and I was not pleased with the prices at Ross and Marshall's. The cheapest I could find was $69 and that was the same price as a medium size luggage! I turned to amazon to look for more affordable carry-on luggage and was surprised to see one from AmazonBasics! I had to get it because 1.) it was from amazon and their products are pretty good 2.) the price! I will list my pros and cons: PROS: +Price--for $49.99 you can't get a better price for a carry-on hard-side luggage! +Size--perfect carry-on size--I did not have any trouble fitting my luggage into the overbin for Delta, Ryan Air, Olympic Air, Vueling Airlines, and SAS Airlines. The size of the luggage was compliant for all the airlines I had just listed. I've flown a few more times internationally to Italy & Greece via American Airlines and had no problems size wise with this luggage. +Sturdy--I had just bought a Samsonite brand carry-on luggage at Ross for $69 (which I returned), the quality of the AmazonBasics luggage was comparable to Samsonite +Color--I feel the color choices was good--they offer the typical black and even a funky color like orange! +Inside storage--I really like the little compartment pockets. They're perfect for little nick-knacks +Wheels felt sturdy, smooth and secure--I rolled this bag through the bumpy rocky roads of Prague and Brussels and they survived! CONS: -The handle does not feel sturdy--sometimes I felt the handle was gonna break off. But it did not....yet -The handle going up and down is very loose--not sure if it was just my luggage that was faulty, but I had difficulties getting the handle to go up and STAY up. I'm assuming the bolts were loose that is why the handle kept falling down Overall, I highly recommend! The price is too good to pass up and it is structurally overall an amazing carry-on luggage

Small enough to fit in the overhead but also durable if you wanted to check it. I like the compartmentalized interior so that you can pack away dirty clothes from clean clothes or shoes, etc. It was rugged enough to get through a trans-atlantic trip without any problems. I really like the 4-wheel rolling feature, rather than having to always pull it behind you. I would be hesitant to get the larger suitcase though, it can hold A LOT, and I fear it may result in overweight baggage without realizing it. But this smaller version is great and holds a ton of stuff.

I just used this luggage in a recent trip with an airline. While I did not check it and don't know if it would hold up to that rough treatment, it was a perfect carry on suitcase. It was well under the required limits for my airline (Southwest) and I had no problems lugging it around or fitting it in the overhead bins. Additionally, I found it to be very spacious for a small luggage, and had no problems packing items for a full 1 week trip. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a study luggage for small trips and getaways.

First impression: Wow, this rolls reaaallly smoothly! What a good size, and I like the finish on the outside. Quite a good weight, it's not super-light weight like a TUMI, but it's decently close. Especially considering what you're paying here it's kind of a no-brainer. Exteriror finish: Has a nice braille/dot-like texture on the outside with indentations on the outside all around the body. Interior finish: Typical suitcase interior of water resistant like nylon material. Grey interior, and the handle doesn't take up too much space inside. Has one small rectangular pocket to fit things like pens, a few watches, or smaller items. A large pouch that has two zippered areas that are sectioned to store items separately (passport, documents, or items). Has a strap to keep clothes down as well. Wheels: The wheels are really smooth! I've walked outside for about 10-15 minutes on a sidewalk and on the street and was worried that the cracks and bumps in the street would damage the wheels.. But they held up fine! The wheels themselves after touching them are still smooth and don't show much wear at all surprisingly. Handle and strap: The strap is pretty sturdy and has a good rubberized texture to it for a good hand feel and grip. The handle on the other hand... (hah), is a bit wobbly and could be more solid for sure. It gets the job done fine and I don't think the handle will give me any issues in the long-run, but it's just a peeve since they nailed everything else. Overall, this is a great value. I was looking at buying a suitcase from Away, but glad I got this after seeing the Away in person. This feels way more sturdy and hasn't scratched or dented in at all. Considering this is a carry-on I don't know if it'll hold up to the extreme rigor of checked-in luggage, but I think it'd still hold up pretty well.

I plan on using the luggage this Friday so I will probably update my review once I see how it holds up in the airport. For now, I have packed 4 outfits, 4 pairs of shoes, 3 purses, and toiletries in this thing. It seems to be very sturdy and rolls pretty smoothly. All in all, I am impressed with this purchase.

I'm a medium heavy business traveler (2-3 trips a month within the US, typically 2 trips a year to Europe). This case is ideal for trips up to a week; more if you have laundry facilities at your destination. It is acceptable as carryon for most US flights (won't fit on a CRJ or the 1-side of an ERJ, but then nothing does). Haven't taken it to Europe yet but it seems not to meet the exact dimensional requirements for some European carriers, especially those operating smaller equipment - the wheels send it over the edge. So, buyer beware on that point. The interior is divided up very sensibly. If you pack with the rolling technique, you can fit a huge amount of stuff in it, and it won't move around. It's also easy to live out of the bag; it opens like a clamshell and you have good access to everything inside. The zippable partition stops stuff falling out of the "top" half of the clamshell while you close the case. Interior pockets are great for small articles like chargers, combs and the like. Seems reasonably durable - I've checked it a few times since I bought it and while it has sustained some scuffs, the shell is still unbroken, as are all the zippers.

I've been on 12 flights with this luggage since I purchased it a few months ago. It was worked GREAT! I've been able to pack my size 15 steel toe work boots and 3 days worth of cloths in it each time. The luggage has been transported via overhead bin space, as a gate checked bag, and has been roughly thrown around in different rental vehicles. The only damage to the luggage is very small scratches to the surface, which is expected with the rough handling I put it through. The interior of the bag is typical of other bags, and is pretty durable. My only concern is the telescoping handle, as it feels a bit loose, but for the price you can not beat this thing. The size is perfect and it fits like a glove even in the small CRJ-900 overhead bins. I recommend this luggage for any traveler.

I'm a flight attendant so obviously I travel a lot. I've been searching for a chic, easy to roll hard suitcase that can handle an enormous amount of use. I just received my suitcase this week. Currently I'm traveling for the first time with my new suitcase and I LOVE IT!!! It rolls with complete ease!!! It's sturdy too!! My arms and back feel absolutely zero stress. It feels like it's floating! My smaller bag is attached to the top and it still feels weightless. The only con is the handle moves but I don't foresee that being a problem. The handle on my last bag moved and I had that one for years so I'm not concerned. Thank you Amazonbasics for making my travel life easy!

Took it on a 2 week overseas trip, airports, trains, buses, metro, street... this thing took it all like a trooper. The wheels have a good size that allow it to roll on most city streets. The trip had one flight with very tight luggage constraints, this luggage fit everywhere. Highly recommended.
