Button got stuck but great customer service sent new one!

We took this on a trip and each of my twins had one. Somehow one of them the button got pushed in on the side despite always being on the case and treating it carefully. My kids are 8 and take care of their things. So now I can’t get one to power on or off. Update: customer care contacted me and offered to send me brand new one and didn’t even ask for old one to be sent back to not inconvenience. No waiting. I thought it was awesome. So now we have 2 working ones ready for our next road trip!

Update!

Update! After writing my initial review and chalking it up as just one of those regretful purchases that didn't work out, the company sent me an email stating they believed we received a malfunctioning dvd player and offered to send a new one without requiring us to send the old one back which was great because it ended up in the trash. I waited to write this review to give my daughter time to charge it and make the long trip to my house to see if it worked like it should and thankfully, we now see why this portable dvd player has such great reviews. This one works perfectly, no skipping and no freezing the entire 2 and a half hour trip. This makes for a much less stressful trip for my daughter when she travels with my 7 month old granddaughter. This is exactly why I purchased the dvd player to begin with. Not only are we extremely satisfied with the quality and performance of this dvd player, but I must say that the seller went way above and beyond to ensure we were happy with our initial purchase. I can not express how much this is appreciated especially considering they didn't have to. I would most certainly buy from this seller again and will search them out for other items in the future to see if they sell whatever it may be that I'm looking to buy. I was so excited to buy this UEME portable dvd player for my daughter. I just knew with all the great reviews that it would be just what she needed when she loaded up my grand daughter for the two and a half hour ride to my house. Unfortunately it is not. First let me say that shipping was fast and the dvd player arrived at my daughters home just as expected with no issues. Buying a product for someone else leaves you in a bind when it comes to possible returns though. I never thought to tell her to keep all the original packaging and since it wasn't something she would be using all the time, it was days before she even tried it out. Once she did however, she called me and told me that it was worthless in the car because it kept freezing up with the slightest movement. She told me not to worry though, she thought it might work well in the house and that she would still get good use of it. Fast forward another week or so, I went there to visit them. The player hadn't been used except that one time when it would not play. I thought well maybe it was something simple and I would give it a try...as if I would have the magic touch haha. Disappointment immediately took hold, the player will not even play sitting still on the coffee table. It constantly freezes up and is in my opinion totally worthless. Perhaps they received a faulty player because from all the great reviews, I wouldn't have expected this. I would have returned it but as I said, I purchased it and had it delivered to them and they didn't keep any of the packaging nor was it even tried out for the first time for quite some time. I don't know exactly how you go about returning an item under those conditions. Next time, I intend to make sure whomever I buy for tries out the product immediately upon receiving and keeps everything just in case it needs to be returned. (Lesson learned)

Awesome DVD player! My kids love it!!!

I bought this for my kids because often I need to study and do work for school. I hate having our main TV on all day, as it is loud and distracting! This is an awesome DVD player. The screen is really large. I bought this to replace one I bought a couple years ago that stopped working. This one is so light weight and has amazing sound and picture quality! As you can see both my kids love it! Great product! Great price! Highly recommend this DVD player! We even use it in the car as it comes with a holder, a car charger and a remote! Our last one didn’t have a remote! I love this thing!

Amazing!!! Worth it!!

Absolutely Love this item. An amazing price for an even better produCT. Large screen. My daughter is 16 months and 15 min in a car if she isn't sleeping she is anxious and ready to get out. I no longer have to work about that with this amazing device. Amazing picture quality. Easy to use. Basically ready to go upon arrival. Would prefer blue tooth hook up so she can listen to it throughout the car but it's okay. Everyone is happy. I recently had to contact the seller as the spring the pops open to place the dvd inside fell off, upon trying to replace it fell down inside the console and now is causing issues with the movies playing. I contacted the sellers they responded right away and we will have a new one within a week. we have had it since Feb. I never leave home without it.

Good stuff, I would highly recommend it

I purchased this item as a birthday gift for my son. It is ideal for car rides as well, when the main TV is being watched by others, my son can take his little DVD player and watch it when and where he wants. I have attached some pictures of it being used in the car. The holder works very well. Good stuff, I would highly recommend it.

Durable and dry

I mainly use my dvd players for audiobooks in the car. Since weve been deluged with bad weather, I set up a clean garden cart at the door with a vinyl tablecloth for UPs to conceal & protect the pkg with note referencing this on the cart. When I got home after being stuck in zero visibility torrential rains, I discovered that UPS placed the box NEXT to the wagon and it was soaked through. The box actually fell apart when I tried to pick it up. Run inside with DVD, inspect contents and it is dry due to bubble wrap sleeve encasing the product. The DVD works fine with movie DVDs and audiobooks, sound quality, picture very good. Have not been able to test battery life yet. Any company that has enough pride in their product to protect it this way gets an A in my book

USED. What we received was a used DVD player ...

Outstanding customer service. I had an issue with my order and they took care of it (read below). I would highly recommend. USED. What we received was a used DVD player. There are fingerprints all over the screen. Nothing was in a bag. The bags were just shoved in the bottom of the box all the cables were in knocks and we’re missing pieces. We were missing the end of the plug for the DC power so the kids couldn’t even use it on our trip which was the whole reason we got it. I got to hear “Turn the TV on. - why doesn’t it work. - we want to watch a movie” the whole trip. This is why I’m giving one star. I purchased the extended warranty thinking since it would get a lot of wear and tear that it would be useful after I called Square trade they tell me the warranty doesn’t cover damage/stolen/missing parts or anything really. So I highly recommend NOT getting a warranty with SquareTrade.

Worth Every Penny

This was a gift for my 6 yr old. He absolutely loves it! It stays charged at least for 5 hours (that's as far as week have taken it. The part where it straps onto the seat, is made with straps and hooks rather than Velcro. I have had Velcro straps in the past and I am not a fan, besides the person who sits in the sit in front of them risk getting their hair stuck. The remote is nice because it allowed me to help him if necessary. The only thing is I haven't quite figured out if the screen is removable and how to do that yet 🤔 overall, this is one of the nicest systems that we've had and quality wise is worth the money.

I was looking to upgrade and purchase a different portable DVD player.I never really liked my old one but it served its purple for years. I decided to purchase this model because the screen was much larger....and it wasn't outrageously priced. Just got it the other day and I have to say that it is pretty awesome. For one thing it is very lightweight,but it feels well made. My old player was heavy and when it was in use would heat up so much. The controls are very easy on this machine....and it has a remote control you can use too. There is just so much about this player that I love. Glad I purchased it!

Nice features and nice picture quality

I really like the size screen of this dvd player. We have some older equipment that we've wanted to replace and this has worked well. At home, I really like that in addition to the screen size, the buttons are also large enough for use to see and operate. Out others has the input buttons, etc. on the side which wasn't convenient. On the side of the device you can use a USB with movies/music in addition using the cords to attach to larger screens. The swivel screen is convenient and glides easily. The remote is also a usable size and not teeny. I didn't have an issue with using the headrest. It has a decent battery life (4-5 hours) but can utilize the cigarette adapter (luckily our car has one in the backseat also). We haven't had issue in regard to reading. It has played all of our normal dvds and usb. We also own blurays with dvd version included and didn't have an issue (we weren't trying bluray version because we mostly own just dvds).
