This bracket was perfect for my NYC apartment. Easy install and adjustment. Note that you will need a drill and have to drill into the window frame's base.

Sturdy

I liked the price and how easy it was to install. It is well made and sturdy. Perfect for my 5, 000 btu window air conditioner.

My husband absolutely loves these.

The only down side to these is the regret you feel for not installing them sooner. At least that's how my husband felt. We bought 2 new air conditioners, and Amazon suggested some brackets. Knowing that we were buying bigger units, I thought "why not?". My husband said the install was a breeze. Once the bracket was in place he didn't have to hold the air conditioner with one hand and close the window with the other, only to have to do the process over again to reposition the unit. All he did was set the unit on top of the bracket, then use both hands to position and shut the window. Definitely worth the price. Do yourself a favor and buy this bracket.

Happy with the final effect, but be careful not to strip the screw holes during assembly

Five stars does not necessarily mean "perfect": the pre-drilled screw holes are not countersunk, so that the screws cannot be inserted fully flush with the surface of the panels (the material is not real wood, and if you keep trying to screw them in deeper and deeper, you can easily strip the holes). As a result, even with when the white stickers provided to cover the tops of the screws are put on, you will see a slight rise at each screw location. And, the little patches do not adhere perfectly. But this is not obvious. We were happy with the overall effect of the assembled unit. Two things to watch for during assembly that the instruction sheet does not cover: (1.) Make sure all the panel edges are white-side up so that the unfinished edges end up all on one side of the assembled unit (the side to the wall); (2.) Two of the panel pieces have pre-drilled hanging holes at one end, so be sure that when you screw these pieces to the unit, you do so with the hanging holes at the same end.

Beats the old 2x4 cross 'T' support.

I have used this type if not this brand in a 2nd floor window the the 'T' style support was not an option and they are very good at keeping the air conditioners supported. My MIL wished that she had one when they went to remove her upstairs window AC unit, someone forgot to hold the unit while another pushed up the window. bye-bye AC. :~(

Could use better directions

Was recommended from amazon, when I Purchased an air conditioner .the directions were very complicated especially the diagrams .but I was eventually able to get through it and install it for my air conditioner, although I did have to use an additional screw to keep the foot from slipping down the wall I might have installed it wrong.

Working as intended. Comes with extra hardware for multiple applications (wood/cement). It is holding my dinky little 5,000 BTU perfectly at a nice lean to drain the excess water that may or may not ever accumulate. I recommend this little bad boy, because of its ease.
