Game changers

These are the best oven mitts EVER. Also, I do a lot of canning and they are so flexible it is easy to handle the hot jars, and they are waterproof. They also solve a very important problem for our family, and now I have to get a few more sets, LOL. My niece and her fiancé are blind but even so are dedicated "foodies" and enjoy cooking for pleasure as well as preparing their own food saves them an enormous amount of money over eating in restaurants or having take out. The problem is that they each have been burned during mishaps of cooking. Many times it was because of oven mitts and pads not being flexible enough or being able to get a good grip, or burning the tops of their hands and arms while reaching in the oven or boiling liquids. These mitts are very powerful game changers for them. When we got ours we showed them how well they worked. Well, now they have them and find more uses every day. The long gauntlets are really a thoughtful extra. Also, they are really nice for elderly folks who enjoy being in the kitchen. My 99 year old granny really took to them and found she could hold things so much better. Her hand arms and shoulders are weak with age and arthritis. These let her wrap her hands around and under things for a better and more comfy grip. So much fun to have her in the kitchen with me.

Had to purchase these oven mitts for daughter's families after they saw ours. We all appreciate the long mitts and ease in retrieving hot baked goods from oven. They won't turn brown when food touches them and rinses under running water for like new look, and dries easy with paper towels.

Out with Old, In with the New!

I am a Senior Citizen, been around long enough for a little moss to grow on my north side. I have used pot holders made of fabric for years, scorched them and threw them away, to purchase new ones and do the same. So I see this new fangled thing that looks like it will melt at the very sight of heat and am told it is heat resistant. "Might as well give it a try", I say. WOW! This is great stuff, I love the mitts, gives a secure hold to very hot skillets or baking dishes, The pot holders fold so easily around pot handles that you have complete control as you lift and pour, or throw them on the counter top for that hot dish to rest on. Forget having to throw them in the washing machine, just rinse them under some warm water and they are as clean as new. Excellent product!

Great deal for the money

Great deal for the money. These look like decent quality mitts. I will say that my first use was seasoning my new cast iron pan. When taking it out of the oven I was able to feel heat through the mitts, but the pan was also 500 degrees so I wouldn't expect anything to be able to hold that for long. I'm really surprised at the quality of the pot holders that came with.

Great product!

We have an ongoing joke at our house about where the pot holders are. Usually, my husband left them out next to the bbq grill, in the BBQ, on the ground on the way out to the patio, you get the point. I always bought the cheap cloth ones for this reason. I decided to get creative as a gift, and bought these for him. (Really for me). I have to say I’m completely spoiled. I love that they just wipe clean. This set was the best value you can get. The mats you can use to sit pans on are awesome, and the gloves work perfectly. Overall, great product.

Impressed!

We were looking to replace our old cloth style oven mits we had for 15-20 years. I did not know that the silicone mits existed until searching on Amazon! With a little reluctance, we went ahead and purchased them. After a month or so of use, I can honestly say the silicone mits work great! The silicone its are easily rinsed off, you can use them to open jars, and of course, pull hot items out of the oven.

The End of Burnt, Stained and Frayed Potholders!

These are great! The mitts aren't too big or small, they have a comfortable lining, and provide a great grip when lifting hot pans, etc. I used my heavy cast iron skillet in a 400 degree oven and had no problem handling it. The potholders are also very handy when you need a trivet to put a hot pot or casserole on the counter or table. I also love the fact that these are washable and stain resistant. I've always hated how easily typical potholders and mitts stained so easily and looked grungy in short order. I expect these to last a long time. This set is well-worth the extra couple of bucks you might spend, but this could be the last set you will ever buy. I recommend them without hesitation.

I can happily admit my skepticism was completely unfounded

Purchased these to replace some very, very old hand-me-down cotton oven mitts and potholders. What a difference. I haven't used silicone oven mitts before and was a little bit skeptical of their heat resistance. I can happily admit my skepticism was completely unfounded. Sometimes newer actually is better. The extended length of the oven mitts is very nice for larger items - no chance of accidentally bumping your forearms on the door. I can hold onto roasting pans and cookie sheets without the inside of the gloves even getting warm, and the textured surface is nice and grippy. I noticed some reviews mentioned that the gloves left behind a slight residue at first, but I haven't experienced that with my pair. The pot holders are also great. I use them for pot handles and to protect my counter tops from hot pots, pans and baking sheets. Both the gloves and pot holders clean up easily with a little water and dish soap.

No more ugly oven mitts!

After years of using fabric/cotton oven mitts that ALWAYS looked dirty, dingy and stained, I saw these at a friend's house. I was skeptical and afraid that I would burn myself because they were so thin and flexible. Be Not Afraid! These are awesome! These look great, work great, clean up perfectly and will provide years of happy baking!

Wife liked them, no longer worry about her burning her hands

My wife should have got a pair of these long time ago. She was a late starter to cooking in her 30s and despite common sense to use pot-holders she didn't have a pair. I noticed she would always use dish cloths or something to pickup hot items from stove or oven. I saw these on amazon somehow one day and said problem solved. Now she uses them every time, they pack in to a kitchen drawer well and have sturdy rubber gripping on both sides to get a better grip. Handy for slick cookware like a greasy pan or pizza tray
