The finish looks nice. Its sturdy built of stainless steel. This should be good for straining in a stock pot and some frying applications. Everything seems as advertised. It is advertised at a 5.4" basket. Even with a tape measure in front of you it is hard to visualize the size of the Item. When I go outside to have an outdoor fish or chicken fry I will buy a larger 7" basket tool. This is a good kitchen tool and I see many uses for it.

I'm really liking this product so far. I bought it to replace another one with a wooden handle. That one was so hard to clean, but this, being stainless steel throughout, is much easier to clean. Works great for frying, lifting pasta, and the like.

I haven't use it yet. It appears to be a very sturdy and well-made strainer. It is long enough so you hand won't get too close to the hot oil. The Chinese bamboo ones are flimsy compared to this one. I will update my review after using it but only if I encounter any issues. BTW...it also comes in a set of 3 with larger baskets and slightly longer handles. This one should be adequate for most household uses.

I was no longer able to pick up my stock pot of beans to drain and this tool solved the problem superbly. I am able to fish out a whole pot of chick peas in short order, and it looks like the strainer spaces will allow for cooked lentils as well. This strainer spoon appears to be very sturdy and well made, and I am happy with this purchase.

I hesitated getting this because of the reviews about the handle and how it is attached. It’s true, it probably isn’t the best. But I hand wash this and don’t feel like I’m ever getting food up in there so I don’t see it as a huge issue. I also live in a dry climate so I’m sure it dries all the way and I give it an H2O2 dip occasionally to kill anything that does grow in the handle. But it is awesome. I use it all the time, not just for pasta. Mine didn’t have any metal burrs or any other defects.

Product arrived on time, in good shape. I have used it and find it is great for straining (although I bought it to dip out fried foods), so it is much more useful than I anticipated. Easy to clean and store. I would recommend it to my friends and strangers.

I had found a recipe for spätzle that required a strainer and this one was perfect! I loved the fact it could be washed in the dishwasher. I am anxious to try it for other applications but am sure it will perform just as well.

I bought this as a gift for my niece. She said it's very well made and is sturdy. She sent me a photo of it and it looks exactly as pictured on Amazon. Since ordering for her I've ordered another one for me! We all make homemade Spaetzle and this is great for straining them out of the boiling water to squeeze in the next batch of dough!

I have never had a spider, so I looked for reviews on Amazon.com to help me with my purchase decision, as I needed something to make retrieving food from stir fried meals or pan fried food. Everything about this spider says quality and great construction, and I have given it a bit of a test, and find it to be well constructed. I have received inquiries from customer service concerning my initial experience with their product, as they request my initial experience with their product. I think that this bodes well for great customer service, backing up their product, similar to my experience with Instant Pot. Out of the box, I could not find the electrical connection. They are sending me one at no charge. As I told them, great customer service is at least as important as having a great product. I think that this company appears to have the same mentality.

I really like this strainer; funny how after years of cooking, I just recently found out about the "spider strainer". I put it to test and it worked perfectly: the olive oil stayed in the pan and the food came out light and crispy. I am setting aside my other strainers and only using this one from now on.
