Super bright and uses a lot less energy.

Bought one of these to replace aircraft carrier sized fluorescent unit and it is so much better than the old one. It put out a lot more light for being 1/4 of the size. I ended up getting another one for the other end of the garage and now it's so Brite I gotta wear shades!

Awesome light saber

My kids got their hands on these before I installed them. Dropped, hit eachother and played jedi. When I saw what they were doing, I thought "well this is a good test of a shop light."... installed the next day. Couldn't be happier with the color temp, light spread and installation. I have a plug installed with a switch, so you might want a pull cord if you're gonna turn these on manually cause the switch is small and probably not condusive to dirty hands.

Works great in my garage

I have a paar of these hanging from the ceiling of my garage, plugged into a switched outlet. They were light, easy to hang / install, are very bright and the quality of the light is very good. They start up immediately, even in very cold weather. Highly recommended. I like that they don't have a pull chain, just a switch on the end - for my wall switched application, this is perfect. My only complaint is that the power cords are thicker / bigger than they need to be, given the minuscule power draw these units have - thinner cables would have made the install a little neater.

great light for workbench

Item is more than I'd hoped for honestly. I paint miniatures, and craft miniatures, models, etc, and have a closet converted into a workbench. This light single handedly outperforms the 3 other tabletop lights I had, combined. I still use a small secondary LED lamp that's flexible, just for lighting control, but the overall light off of this hanging light is super bright, and plenty if you're not doing super detailed stuff. It's also super lightweight, took 2 minutes to install.

Very bright, very light - modified to wall-mount

to 400k version is SUPER BRIGHT, like an operating room, a bit stark depending on your use case. I like that there is no on-off switch, as I have it connected to a motion sensor -- when the power is on, the light is on. I also like that no wiring is needed it can just be plugged in to the motion sensor. It is not designed to be wall-mounted. However, I simply glued to straight screw-mounts on it and it worked fine. It does get noticeably hot, if this concerns you the screw-mounts could be stuck to some kind of small spacer and then stuck to the back of the light.

quality and very bright

Arrived ,very well packaged and in great working order. Installed the light immediately. Very impressed with the quality of this light. It seems to be very sturdy and we'll put together. For a single bulb very impressed with the amount of light produced. I purchased 2 and have every intention to buy more

The light is unbeatable at the price, just buy it!

I bought one as a test going to buy 3 more! Amazing quality and VERY bright! I work on SMD Soldering at my shop in Maine, that means I need to see tiny little components under a microscope so light is important!!! these babies work like a charm! I've got it mounted 6 feet above my bench and LET THERE BE LIGHT!!! Love it!

Light weight easy hanging light to see at night.

Super easy to install. Just put 2 hooks in the rafters amd hung the light by the little chain provided. Light weight absolutely. Bright enough to see where im going in my car port at night. Only negative is no switch for on/off, but no big deal purchased a butterfly on/off switch that goes on the end of the cord. Otherwise i would have to plug and unplug it for on off.

Garage went from 70lux to 700lux! Bright and well built. Also approved for damp locations.

June 2019 Update-- 2 Years later and no regrets. Anyone that comes into my garage when lit comments on how bright it is and cant believe the price! I only bought one of these to start. I wanted to make sure that they were bright enough and well built before buying more. I downloaded a lux meter app for my Galaxy S6 to compare light sources. I mounted this in my garage which has 12' ceilings. I was using a 13W (100W equivalent) CFL bulb. with my phone resting on a 5' ladder I got a reading of 75lux after I let the bulb warm up for about 5 minutes......The new LED light at the same distance (mounted from ceiling, not the chain which would lower it 12") I got a reading of 700lux! I kinda figured that the LED fixture would be brighter but I like to see numbers backing it up. I will be buying 3 more of these after I'm done writing this review!

Good, bright light!

I just hung this Lithonia 48in LED light in my craft room and wow! what a difference LED bulbs make! It is so bright (natural white light instead of yellow) and it is lightweight plastic, instead of dangerous glass. It took less than 5 minutes to hang from my ceiling-so easy! Just what I was looking for so that I can see details on my projects! I’ll have to see how long it lasts, but at the cheap price I paid, it’s worth it. Pic is just what it looks like, length of chain and all. It is worth mentioning that if this light stops working, the bulb doesn’t change out, you replace the whole fixture. Again, at a cheap price, I still recommend it.
