Very easy job. Dealer quoted us over $700 for this job on our 08 suburban that was having catastrophic failure of the throttle body. Reduced power, and eventually the throttle was completely unresponsive. It would idle and never rev. Literally under 10 minutes and we had it installed and all plastics put back together. We put a new AC Delco gasket in also which was a totally unneeded waste. Old gasket was fine after 175k miles. Here’s the tough part... I’ve done this job twice on late model Chevys. The idle relearn procedure is a real pain without a scan tool. Never as easy as YouTube says... It has taken several days of driving and idling to get the idle to drop back down on both vehicles. Make sure you remove your negative battery cable and hold it on your positive terminal for a couple minutes throughout the relearn procedure. It still doesn’t fix it right away but it helps a lot! Eventually the idle will drop back down but it is just simply a pain. Also, don’t do what I did and wait for the first snow of the year to do the job. Driving “in excess of 44mph with multiple acceleration and deceleration cycles” as you’re supposed to in several inches of snow, at night, with an idle stuck at 3,000 rpms, active ABS, and an empty gas tank, was not my best decision... The upshot... the actual repair is stupid simple, Amazon is far cheaper than dealer parts (duh), and expect the relearn to be a pain but doable for the average Joe. Also, if you have high miles, expect to break your PCV hose on this job and order a replacement before you try. Or use 3/8” radiator hose in a pinch like me. (1/2” would be better...)

Fit was perfect for a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Was getting a code for the throttle position sensor. Instead if replacing just the sensor part went this route to replace the whole thing. Wicked simple 15-20 mins tops and I was up and running again. No codes, smoother ideal as other reviews mentioned. I did disconnect the battery while I replaced it. The relearn process is simple, YouTube/Google it.

Works great and was basically new. I will caution anyone who isn’t somewhat machanically and technology savvy: the vehicle has to be ran through a learn proceedure after this part is changed. Instructions on how to do this are all over the internet so it’s not too bad to find or do!

I have a built ls2 in a SS trailblazer. The throttle actuator started making noise and I know what happens next. Got the part number off the oem part and bought this one. Couldn’t beat the price at the dealer even at my wholesale cost and I work at the dealership.

Installed in a 2007 Escalade works great but you will need a throttle body relearn. Unless you have a high end TDS programmer you will not be able to drive your car after this is installed. I had to remove it, drive to the dealership and have it put on and relearned. I do know know if this applies to every car but it does to the 2007-2011 GMs

So far so good. Super simple to install. You can most likely re-use the old gasket. Its heavy duty. Obviously designed with frequent swaps in mind. Getting the computer to re-learn idle was a little tedious. I recommend letting the truck warm up completely before beginning the process.

Replaced original GM part works very well 2007 GMC Yukon XL Flexfuel last part had slight warp cold weather cold start vacuum leak. Problem solved for less than dealer replacement easy to install suggest also buying and using a new gasket to seal fully!

Works well will take time for computer to adjust need at least 100 miles of stops g and going before it can adjust will not adjust properly in rain or snow

Perfect and took me 5 minutes to change.
